17:101
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ تِسْعَ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ ۖ فَاسْأَلْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ فِرْعَوْنُ إِنِّي لَأَظُنُّكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ مَسْحُورًاвəлəќōд əəтəйнəə муусəə тис'ə əəйəəтимм-бэййинəəт, фəəс`əль бəнии исрōō`иилə из̃ джəə`əhум фəќōōлə лəhу фир'əуну иннии лə`əз̃уннукə йəə муусəə мəсhуурō
Certainly We gave Moses nine manifest signs. So ask the Children of Israel. When he came to them, Pharaoh said to him, ‘O Moses, indeed I think you are bewitched.’ -
17:102
قَالَ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا أَنزَلَ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ إِلَّا رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ بَصَائِرَ وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّكَ يَا فِرْعَوْنُ مَثْبُورًاќōōлə лəќōд 'əлимтə мəə əŋŋзəлə həə`улəə`и ильлəə рōббус-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрды бəсōō`ирō вə`иннии лə`əз̃уннукə йəə фир'əуну мəc̃буурō
He said, ‘You certainly know that no one has sent these [signs] except the Lord of the heavens and the earth, as eye-openers, and I, O Pharaoh, indeed think you are doomed.’ -
17:104
وَقُلْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اسْكُنُوا الْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ الْآخِرَةِ جِئْنَا بِكُمْ لَفِيفًاвəќульнəə мимм-бə'диhи либəнии исрōō`иилə-скунууль-əрдō фə`из̃əə джəə`ə вə'дуль-əəхырōти джи`нəə бикум лəфиифə
After him We said to the Children of Israel, ‘Take up residence in the land, and when the occasion of the other [promise] comes, We shall gather you in mixed company.’ -
17:105
وَبِالْحَقِّ أَنزَلْنَاهُ وَبِالْحَقِّ نَزَلَ ۗ وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًاвəби-ль-həќќи əŋŋзəльнəəhу вəби-ль-həќќи нəзəль, вəмəə əрсəльнəəкə ильлəə мубəшширōу-вəнəз̃иирō
With the truth did We send it down, and with the truth did it descend, and We did not send you except as a bearer of good news and as a warner. -
17:106
وَقُرْآنًا فَرَقْنَاهُ لِتَقْرَأَهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ عَلَىٰ مُكْثٍ وَنَزَّلْنَاهُ تَنزِيلًاвəќур`əəнəн фəрōќнəəhу литəќрō`əhу 'əлəəн-нəəси 'əлəə мукc̃иу-вəнəззəльнəəhу тəŋŋзиилə
We have sent the Quran in [discrete] parts so that you may recite it for the people a little at a time, and We have sent it down piecemeal. -
17:107
قُلْ آمِنُوا بِهِ أَوْ لَا تُؤْمِنُوا ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهِ إِذَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ يَخِرُّونَ لِلْأَذْقَانِ سُجَّدًاќуль əəминуу биhи əу лəə ту`минуу, иннəль-лəз̃иинə уутууль-'ильмə миŋŋ-ќōблиhи из̃əə йутлəə 'əлэйhим йəхырруунə ли-ль-əз̃ќōōни суджджəдə
Say, ‘Whether you believe in it, or do not believe in it, indeed when it is recited to those who were given knowledge before it, they fall down in prostration on their faces, -
17:110
قُلِ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمَـٰنَ ۖ أَيًّا مَّا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًاќули-д'уул-лаhə əви-д'уур-рōhмəəн, əййəмм-мəə тəд'уу фəлəhуль-əсмəə`уль-hуснəə, вəлəə тəджhəр бисōлəəтикə вəлəə тухōōфит биhəə вəəбтəґи бэйнə з̃əəликə сəбиилə
Say, ‘Invoke ‘‘Allah’’ or invoke ‘‘the All-beneficent.’’ Whichever [of His Names] you may invoke, to Him belong the Best Names.’ Be neither loud in your prayer, nor murmur it, but follow a middle course between these, -
17:111
وَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ وَلِيٌّ مِّنَ الذُّلِّ ۖ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرًاвəќулиль-həмду лильлəhиль-лəз̃ии лəм йəттəхыз̃ вəлəдəу-вəлəм йəкуль-лəhу шəриикун фииль-мульки вəлəм йəкуль-лəhу вəлиййумм-минəз̃-з̃улль, вəкəббирhу тəкбиирō
and say, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, who has neither taken any son, nor has He any partner in sovereignty, nor has He any wali out of weakness,’ and magnify Him with a magnification [worthy of Him]. -
18:1
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ الْكِتَابَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُ عِوَجًا ۜəльhəмду лильлəhиль-лəз̃ии əŋŋзəлə 'əлəə 'əбдиhиль-китəəбə вəлəм йəдж'əль-лəhу 'ивəджə
All praise belongs to Allah, who has sent down the Book to His servant and did not let any crookedness be in it, -
18:2
قَيِّمًا لِّيُنذِرَ بَأْسًا شَدِيدًا مِّن لَّدُنْهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا حَسَنًاќōййимəл-лийуŋŋз̃ирō бə`сəн шəдиидəмм-миль-лəдунhу вəйубəшширōль-му`миниинəль-лəз̃иинə йə'мəлююнəс-сōōлиhəəти əннə лəhум əджрōн həсəнə
[a Book] upright, to warn of a severe punishment from Him, and to give good news to the faithful who do righteous deeds, that there shall be for them a good reward, -
18:5
مَّا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ وَلَا لِآبَائِهِمْ ۚ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ ۚ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًاмəə лəhумм-биhи мин 'ильмиу-вəлəə ли`əəбəə`иhим, кəбурōт кəлимəтəн тəхруджу мин əфвəəhиhим, ий-йəќуулююнə ильлəə кəз̃ибə
They do not have any knowledge of that, nor did their fathers. Monstrous is the utterance that comes out of their mouths, and they say nothing but a lie. -
18:6
فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَـٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًاфəлə'əльлəкə бəəхы'ун-ннəфсəкə 'əлəə əəc̃əəриhим иль-лəм йу`минуу биhəəз̃əəль-həдииc̃и əсəфə
You are liable to imperil your life out of grief for their sake, if they should not believe this discourse. -
18:7
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًاиннəə джə'əльнəə мəə 'əлəəль-əрды зиинəтəль-лəhəə линəблювəhум əййуhум əhсəну 'əмəлə
Indeed We have made whatever is on the earth an adornment for it that We may test them [to see] which of them is best in conduct.
