  • بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

    бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим

    In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

  • 4:24
     ۞ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ  ۖ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ  ۚ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُم مَّا وَرَاءَ ذَ‌ٰلِكُمْ أَن تَبْتَغُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُم مُّحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ  ۚ فَمَا اسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهِ مِنْهُنَّ فَآتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً  ۚ وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا تَرَاضَيْتُم بِهِ مِن بَعْدِ الْفَرِيضَةِ  ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا

    вəəльмуhсōнəəту минəн-нисəə`и ильлəə мəə мəлəкəт əймəəнукум, китəəбəл-лаhи 'əлэйкум, вə`уhильлə лəкум-мəə вəрōō`ə з̃əəликум əŋŋ-тəбтəґуу би`əмвəəликум-муhсыниинə ґōйрō мусəəфиhиин, фəмəə-стəмтə'тумм-биhи минhуннə фə`əəтууhуннə уджуурōhуннə фəриидōh, вəлəə джунəəhə 'əлэйкум фиимəə тəрōōдōйтумм-биhи мимм-бə'диль-фəриидōh, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə 'əлиимəн həкиимə

    and married women, excepting your slave-women. This is Allah’s ordinance for you. As to others than these, it is lawful for you to seek [temporary union with them] with your wealth, in wedlock, not in license. For the enjoyment you have had from them thereby, give them their dowries, by way of settlement, and there is no sin upon you in what you may agree upon after the settlement. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

    وَمَن لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنكُمْ طَوْلًا أَن يَنكِحَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ فَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُم مِّن فَتَيَاتِكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ  ۚ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَانِكُم  ۚ بَعْضُكُم مِّن بَعْضٍ  ۚ فَانكِحُوهُنَّ بِإِذْنِ أَهْلِهِنَّ وَآتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ مُحْصَنَاتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحَاتٍ وَلَا مُتَّخِذَاتِ أَخْدَانٍ  ۚ فَإِذَا أُحْصِنَّ فَإِنْ أَتَيْنَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ فَعَلَيْهِنَّ نِصْفُ مَا عَلَى الْمُحْصَنَاتِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ  ۚ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ الْعَنَتَ مِنكُمْ  ۚ وَأَن تَصْبِرُوا خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ  ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

    вəмəль-лəм йəстəты' миŋŋкум тōулəн əй-йəŋŋкиhəль-муhсōнəəтиль-му`минəəти фəмимм-мəə мəлəкəт əймəəнукум-миŋŋ-фəтəйəəтикумуль-му`минəəт, вəл-лаhу ə'лəму би`иимəəникум, бə'дукум-мимм-бə'д, фəəŋŋкиhууhуннə би`из̃ни əhлиhиннə вə`əəтууhуннə уджуурōhуннə би-ль-мə'рууфи муhсōнəəтин ґōйрō мусəəфиhəəтиу-вəлəə муттəхыз̃əəти əхдəəн, фə`из̃əə уhсыннə фə`ин əтəйнə бифəəhишəтин фə'əлэйhиннə нисфу мəə 'əлəəль-муhсōнəəти минəль-'əз̃əəб, з̃əəликə лимəн хōшийəль-'əнəтə миŋŋкум, вə`əŋŋ-тəсбируу хōйруль-лəкум, вəл-лаhу ґōфуурур-рōhиим

    As for those of you who cannot afford to marry faithful free women, then [let them marry] from what you own, from among your faithful slave-women. Your faith is best known [only] to Allah; you are all [on a] similar [footing]. So marry them with their masters’ permission, and give them their dowries in an honourable manner—[such of them] as are chaste women, not licentious ones or those who take paramours. But should they commit an indecent act on marrying, there shall be for them [only] half the punishment for free women. This is for those of you who fear falling into fornication; but it is better that you be continent, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

    يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ سُنَنَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَيَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ  ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

    йуриидул-лаhу лийубəййинə лəкум вəйəhдийəкум сунəнəль-лəз̃иинə миŋŋ-ќōбликум вəйəтуубə 'əлэйкум, вəл-лаhу 'əлиимун həкиим

    Allah desires to explain [the laws] to you, and to guide you to the customs of those who were before you, and to turn toward you clemently, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

  • 4:27
    وَاللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ الَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ الشَّهَوَاتِ أَن تَمِيلُوا مَيْلًا عَظِيمًا

    вəл-лаhу йурииду əй-йəтуубə 'əлэйкум вəйуриидуль-лəз̃иинə йəттəби'уунəш-шəhəвəəти əŋŋ-тəмиилюю мəйлəн 'əз̃ыымə

    Allah desires to turn toward you clemently, but those who pursue their [base] appetites desire that you fall into gross waywardness.

    يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُمْ  ۚ وَخُلِقَ الْإِنسَانُ ضَعِيفًا

    йуриидул-лаhу əй-йухōффифə 'əŋŋкум, вəхулиќōль-иŋŋсəəну дō'иифə

    Allah desires to lighten your burden, for man was created weak.

    يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِالْبَاطِلِ إِلَّا أَن تَكُونَ تِجَارَةً عَن تَرَاضٍ مِّنكُمْ  ۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ  ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا

    йəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу лəə тə`кулюю əмвəəлəкумм-бэйнəкумм-би-ль-бəəтыли ильлəə əŋŋ-тəкуунə тиджəəрōтəн 'əŋŋ-тəрōōдымм-миŋŋкум, вəлəə тəќтулюю əŋŋфусəкум, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə бикум рōhиимə

    O you who have faith! Do not eat up your wealth among yourselves unrightfully, but it should be trade by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves. Indeed Allah is most merciful to you.

    وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ عُدْوَانًا وَظُلْمًا فَسَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِ نَارًا  ۚ وَكَانَ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرًا

    вəмəй-йəф'əль з̃əəликə 'удвəəнəу-вəз̃ульмəн фəсəуфə нуслииhи нəəрō, вəкəəнə з̃əəликə 'əлəл-лаhи йəсиирō

    And whoever does that in aggression and injustice, We will soon make him enter the Fire, and that is easy for Allah.

  • 4:31
    إِن تَجْتَنِبُوا كَبَائِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُم مُّدْخَلًا كَرِيمًا

    иŋŋ-тəджтəнибуу кəбəə`ирō мəə тунhəунə 'əнhу нукəффир 'əŋŋкум сəййи`əəтикум вəнудхылькум-мудхōлəн кəриимə

    If you avoid the major sins that you are forbidden, We will absolve you of your misdeeds and admit you to a noble abode.

    وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوْا مَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ  ۚ لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَسَبُوا  ۖ وَلِلنِّسَاءِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَسَبْنَ  ۚ وَاسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ مِن فَضْلِهِ  ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا

    вəлəə тəтəмəннəу мəə фəддōлəл-лаhу биhи бə'дōкум 'əлəə бə'д, лир-риджəəли нəсыыбумм-миммəə-ктəсəбуу, вəлин-нисəə`и нəсыыбумм-миммəə-ктəсəбн, вəəс`əлююл-лаhə миŋŋ-фəдлиh, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə бикулли шэй`ин 'əлиимə

    Do not covet the advantage, which Allah has given some of you over others. To men belongs a share of what they have earned, and to women a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah for His bounty. Indeed Allah has knowledge of all things.

    وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَالِيَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُونَ  ۚ وَالَّذِينَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ فَآتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ  ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدًا

    вəликуллин джə'əльнəə мəвəəлийə миммəə тəрōкəль-вəəлидəəни вəəль`əќрōбуун, вəəльлəз̃иинə 'əќōдəт əймəəнукум фə`əəтууhум нəсыыбəhум, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə 'əлəə кулли шэй`ин шəhиидə

    For everyone We have appointed heirs to what the parents and near relatives leave, as well as those with whom you have made a compact; so give them their share [of the heritage]. Indeed Allah is witness to all things.

    الرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ وَبِمَا أَنفَقُوا مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ  ۚ فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِّلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللَّهُ  ۚ وَاللَّاتِي تَخَافُونَ نُشُوزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوهُنَّ وَاهْجُرُوهُنَّ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ  ۖ فَإِنْ أَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلَا تَبْغُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيلًا  ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيًّا كَبِيرًا

    əрриджəəлю ќōувəəмуунə 'əлəəн-нисəə`и бимəə фəддōлəл-лаhу бə'дōhум 'əлəə бə'дыу-вəбимəə əŋŋфəќуу мин əмвəəлиhим, фəс-сōōлиhəəту ќōōнитəəтун həəфиз̃ōōтул-ли-ль-ґōйби бимəə həфиз̃ōл-лаh, вəль-лəəтии тəхōōфуунə нушуузəhуннə фə'из̃ууhуннə вəəhджурууhуннə фииль-мəдōōджи'и вəəдрибууhунн, фə`ин əтō'нəкум фəлəə тəбґуу 'əлэйhиннə сəбиилə, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə 'əлиййəн кəбиирō

    Men are the managers of women, because of the advantage Allah has granted some of them over others, and by virtue of their spending out of their wealth. Righteous women are obedient and watchful in the absence [of their husbands] in guarding what Allah has enjoined [them] to guard. As for those [wives] whose misconduct you fear, [first] advise them, and [if ineffective] keep away from them in the bed, and [as the last resort] beat them. Then if they obey you, do not seek any course [of action] against them. Indeed Allah is all-exalted, all-great.

  • 4:35
    وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَابْعَثُوا حَكَمًا مِّنْ أَهْلِهِ وَحَكَمًا مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا إِن يُرِيدَا إِصْلَاحًا يُوَفِّقِ اللَّهُ بَيْنَهُمَا  ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا خَبِيرًا

    вə`ин хыфтум шиќōōќō бэйниhимəə фəəб'əc̃уу həкəмəмм-мин əhлиhи вəhəкəмəмм-мин əhлиhəə ий-йуриидəə ислəəhəй-йувəффиќиль-лəhу бэйнəhумəə, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə 'əлиимəн хōбиирō

    If you fear a split between the two of them, then appoint an arbiter from his relatives and an arbiter from her relatives. If they desire reconcilement, Allah shall reconcile them. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-aware.

     ۞ وَاعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا  ۖ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَبِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْجَارِ ذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالْجَنبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ  ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا

    вəə'будуул-лаhə вəлəə тушрикуу биhи шэй`ə, вəби-ль-вəəлидəйни иhсəəнəу-вəбиз̃ииль-ќурбəə вəəльйəтəəмəə вəəльмəсəəкиини вəəльджəəри з̃ииль-ќурбəə вəəльджəəриль-джунуби вəс-сōōhиби би-ль-джəмм-би вəəбнис-сəбиили вəмəə мəлəкəт əймəəнукум, иннəл-лаhə лəə йуhиббу мəŋŋ-кəəнə мухтəəлəн фəхуурō

    Worship Allah and do not ascribe any partners to Him, and be good to parents, the relatives, the orphans, the needy, the near neighbour and the distant neighbour, the companion at your side, the traveller, and your slaves. Indeed Allah does not like those who are arrogant and boastful.

  • 4:37
    الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ وَيَكْتُمُونَ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ  ۗ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُّهِينًا

    əльлəз̃иинə йəбхōлююнə вəйə`муруунəн-нəəсə би-ль-бухли вəйəктумуунə мəə əəтəəhумул-лаhу миŋŋ-фəдлиh, вə`ə'тəднəə ли-ль-кəəфириинə 'əз̃əəбəмм-муhиинə

    —Those who are [themselves] stingy and bid [other] people to be stingy, and conceal whatever Allah has given them out of His bounty; and We have prepared for the faithless a humiliating punishment.

  • 4:38
    وَالَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ رِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ  ۗ وَمَن يَكُنِ الشَّيْطَانُ لَهُ قَرِينًا فَسَاءَ قَرِينًا

    вəəльлəз̃иинə йуŋŋфиќуунə əмвəəлəhум ри`əə`əн-нəəси вəлəə йу`минуунə биль-лəhи вəлəə би-ль-йəумиль-əəхыр, вəмəй-йəкуниш-шэйтōōну лəhу ќōриинəн фəсəə`ə ќōриинə

    And those who spend their wealth to be seen by people, and believe neither in Allah nor in the Last Day. As for him who has Satan for his companion—an evil companion is he!

    وَمَاذَا عَلَيْهِمْ لَوْ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَنفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَهُمُ اللَّهُ  ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِهِمْ عَلِيمًا

    вəмəəз̃əə 'əлэйhим лəу əəмəнуу биль-лəhи вəəльйəумиль-əəхыри вə`əŋŋфəќуу миммəə рōзəќōhумул-лаh, вəкəəнəл-лаhу биhим 'əлиимə

    What harm would it have done them had they believed in Allah and the Last Day, and spent out of what Allah has provided them? Allah knows them well.

    إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ  ۖ وَإِن تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَاعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِن لَّدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

    иннəл-лаhə лəə йəз̃лиму миc̃ќōōлə з̃əррōh, вə`иŋŋ-тəку həсəнəтəй-йудōō'ифhəə вəйу`ти миль-лəдунhу əджрōн 'əз̃ыымə

    Indeed Allah does not wrong [anyone] [even to the extent of] an atom’s weight, and if it be a good deed He doubles it[s reward], and gives from Himself a great reward.

    فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ شَهِيدًا

    фəкəйфə из̃əə джи`нəə миŋŋ-кулли уммəтимм-бишəhиидиу-вəджи`нəə бикə 'əлəə həə`улəə`и шəhиидə

    So how shall it be, when We bring a witness from every nation and We bring you as a witness to them?

  • 4:42
    يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّىٰ بِهِمُ الْأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ اللَّهَ حَدِيثًا

    йəумə`из̃ий-йəвəддуль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу вə'əсōвур-рōсуулə лəу тусəувəə биhимуль-əрду вəлəə йəктумуунəл-лаhə həдииc̃ə

    On that day those who were faithless and [who] disobeyed the Apostle will wish the earth were levelled with them, and they will not conceal any matter from Allah.

    يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنتُمْ سُكَارَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُوا مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِي سَبِيلٍ حَتَّىٰ تَغْتَسِلُوا  ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ الْغَائِطِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ  ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا

    йəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу лəə тəќрōбуус-сōлəəтə вə`əŋŋтум сукəəрōō həттəə тə'лəмуу мəə тəќуулююнə вəлəə джунубəн ильлəə 'əəбирии сəбиилин həттəə тəґтəсилюу, вə`иŋŋ-куŋŋтум-мəрдōō əу 'əлəə сəфəрин əу джəə`ə əhəдумм-миŋŋкум-минəль-ґōō`иты əу лəəмəстумун-нисəə`ə фəлəм тəджидуу мəə`əн фəтəйəммəмуу сō'иидəн тōййибəн фəəмсəhуу бивуджууhикум вə`əйдиикум, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə 'əфуувəн ґōфуурō

    O you who have faith! Do not approach prayer when you are intoxicated, [not] until you know what you are saying, nor [enter mosques] in the state of ritual impurity until you have washed yourselves, except while passing through. But if you are sick or on a journey, or any of you has come from the toilet, or you have touched women, and you cannot find water, then make your ablution on clean ground and wipe a part of your faces and your hands. Indeed Allah is all-excusing, all-forgiving.
