6:42
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَвəлəќōд əрсəльнəə илəə умəмимм-миŋŋ-ќōбликə фə`əхōз̃нəəhумм-би-ль-бə`сəə`и вəд-дōррōō`и лə'əльлəhум йəтəдōррō'уун
We have certainly sent [apostles] to nations before you, then We seized them with stress and distress so that they might entreat [Us]. -
6:43
فَلَوْلَا إِذْ جَاءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا وَلَـٰكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَфəлəулəə из̃ джəə`əhумм-бə`сунəə тəдōррō'уу вəлəəкиŋŋ-ќōсəт ќулююбуhум вəзəййəнə лəhумуш-шэйтōōну мəə кəəнуу йə'мəлююн
Why did they not entreat when Our punishment overtook them! But their hearts had hardened, and Satan had made what they had been doing seem decorous to them. -
6:44
فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَرِحُوا بِمَا أُوتُوا أَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْلِسُونَфəлəммəə нəсуу мəə з̃уккируу биhи фəтəhнəə 'əлэйhим əбвəəбə кулли шэй`ин həттəə из̃əə фəриhуу бимəə уутуу əхōз̃нəəhумм-бəґтəтəн фə`из̃əə hум-мублисуун
So when they forgot what they had been admonished of, We opened for them the gates of all [good] things. When they became proud of what they were given, We seized them suddenly, whereat, behold, they were despondent. -
6:46
قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَأَبْصَارَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُم مَّنْ إِلَـٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُم بِهِ ۗ انظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ ثُمَّ هُمْ يَصْدِفُونَќуль əрō`əйтум ин əхōз̃əл-лаhу сəм'əкум вə`əбсōōрōкум вəхōтəмə 'əлəə ќулююбикум-мəн илəəhун ґōйрул-лаhи йə`тиикумм-биh, уŋŋз̃ур кəйфə нусōррифуль-əəйəəти c̃уммə hум йəсдифуун
Say, ‘Tell me, should Allah take away your hearing and your sight and set a seal on your hearts, which god other than Allah can bring it [back] to you?’ Look, how We paraphrase the signs variously; nevertheless they turn away. -
6:47
قُلْ أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُ اللَّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الظَّالِمُونَќуль əрō`əйтəкум ин əтəəкум 'əз̃əəбул-лаhи бəґтəтəн əу джəhрōтəн həль йуhлəку ильлəəль-ќōумуз̃-з̃ōōлимуун
Say, ‘Tell me, should Allah’s punishment overtake you suddenly or visibly, will anyone be destroyed except the wrongdoing lot?’ -
6:48
وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ ۖ فَمَنْ آمَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَвəмəə нурсилюль-мурсəлиинə ильлəə мубəшшириинə вəмуŋŋз̃ириин, фəмəн əəмəнə вə`əслəhə фəлəə хōуфун 'əлэйhим вəлəə hум йəhзəнуун
We do not send the apostles except as bearers of good news and warners. As for those who are faithful and righteous, they will have no fear, nor will they grieve. -
6:49
وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ الْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَвəəльлəз̃иинə кəз̃з̃əбуу би`əəйəəтинəə йəмəссуhумуль-'əз̃əəбу бимəə кəəнуу йəфсуќуун
But as for those who deny Our signs, the punishment shall befall them because of the transgressions they used to commit. -
6:50
قُل لَّا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِي خَزَائِنُ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ وَلَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّي مَلَكٌ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ ۚ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَќуль-лəə əќуулю лəкум 'иŋŋдии хōзəə`инул-лаhи вəлəə ə'лəмуль-ґōйбə вəлəə əќуулю лəкум иннии мəлəк, ин əттəби'у ильлəə мəə йууhəə илəйй, ќуль həль йəстəвииль-ə'мəə вəəльбəсыыр, əфəлəə тəтəфəккəруун
Say, ‘I do not say to you that I possess the treasuries of Allah, nor do I know the Unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I follow only what is revealed to me.’ Say, ‘Are the blind one and the seer equal? So do you not reflect?’ -
6:51
وَأَنذِرْ بِهِ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَن يُحْشَرُوا إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۙ لَيْسَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ وَلِيٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَвə`əŋŋз̃ир биhиль-лəз̃иинə йəхōōфуунə əй-йуhшəруу илəə рōббиhим лэйсə лəhум-миŋŋ-дууниhи вəлиййуу-вəлəə шəфии'уль-лə'əльлəhум йəттəќуун
And warn by its means those who fear being mustered toward their Lord, besides whom they shall have neither any guardian nor any intercessor, so that they may be Godwary. -
6:52
وَلَا تَطْرُدِ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ ۖ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَвəлəə тəтрудиль-лəз̃иинə йəд'уунə рōббəhумм-би-ль-ґōдəəти вəəль'əшиййи йуриидуунə вəджhəh, мəə 'əлэйкə мин hисəəбиhим-миŋŋ-шэй`иу-вəмəə мин hисəəбикə 'əлэйhим-миŋŋ-шэй`ин фəтəтрудəhум фəтəкуунə минəз̃-з̃ōōлимиин
Do not drive away those who supplicate their Lord morning and evening desiring His face. Neither are you accountable for them in any way, nor are they accountable for you in any way, so that you may drive them away and thus become one of the wrongdoers. -
6:53
وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لِّيَقُولُوا أَهَـٰؤُلَاءِ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّن بَيْنِنَا ۗ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِالشَّاكِرِينَвəкəз̃əəликə фəтəннəə бə'дōhумм-бибə'дыл-лийəќуулюю əhəə`улəə`и мəннəл-лаhу 'əлэйhим-мимм-бэйнинəə, əлэйсəл-лаhу би`ə'лəмə биш-шəəкириин
Thus do We test them by means of one another so that they should say, ‘Are these the ones whom Allah has favoured from among us?!’ Does not Allah know best the grateful?! -
6:54
وَإِذَا جَاءَكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ ۖ أَنَّهُ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوءًا بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِن بَعْدِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌвə`из̃əə джəə`əкəль-лəз̃иинə йу`минуунə би`əəйəəтинəə фəќуль сəлəəмун 'əлэйкум, кəтəбə рōббукум 'əлəə нəфсиhир-рōhмəh, əннəhу мəн 'əмилə миŋŋкум суу`əмм-биджəhəəлəтин c̃уммə тəəбə мимм-бə'диhи вə`əслəhə фə`əннəhу ґōфуурур-рōhиим
When those who have faith in Our signs come to you, say, ‘Peace to you! Your Lord has made mercy incumbent upon Himself: whoever of you commits an evil [deed] out of ignorance and then repents after that and reforms, then He is indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful.’ -
6:56
قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ ۚ قُل لَّا أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَاءَكُمْ ۙ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَќуль иннии нуhииту əн ə'будəль-лəз̃иинə тəд'уунə миŋŋ-дууниль-лəh, ќуль-лəə əттəби'у əhвəə`əкум ќōд дōлəльту из̃əу-вəмəə əнəə минəль-муhтəдиин
Say, ‘I have been forbidden to worship those whom you invoke besides Allah.’ Say, ‘I do not follow your desires, for then I will have gone astray, and I will not be among the [rightly] guided.’ -
6:57
قُلْ إِنِّي عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّي وَكَذَّبْتُم بِهِ ۚ مَا عِندِي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِ ۚ إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ۖ يَقُصُّ الْحَقَّ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْفَاصِلِينَќуль иннии 'əлəə бэййинəтимм-мир-рōббии вəкəз̃з̃əбтумм-биh, мəə 'иŋŋдии мəə тəстə'джилююнə биh, иниль-hукму ильлəə лильлəh, йəќуссуль-həќќ, вəhувə хōйруль-фəəсылиин
Say, ‘Indeed I stand on a manifest proof from my Lord and you have denied it. What you seek to hasten is not up to me. Judgement belongs only to Allah; He expounds the truth and He is the best of judges.’ -
6:58
قُل لَّوْ أَنَّ عِندِي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِ لَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالظَّالِمِينَќуль-лəу əннə 'иŋŋдии мəə тəстə'джилююнə биhи лəќудыйəль-əмру бэйнии вəбэйнəкум, вəл-лаhу ə'лəму биз̃-з̃ōōлимиин
Say, ‘If what you seek to hasten were with me, the matter would surely have been decided between you and me, and Allah knows best the wrongdoers.’ -
6:59
۞ وَعِندَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۚ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِن وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَلَا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍвə'иŋŋдəhу мəфəəтиhуль-ґōйби лəə йə'лəмуhəə ильлəə hуу, вəйə'лəму мəə фииль-бəрри вəəльбəhр, вəмəə тəсќуту миу-вəрōќōтин ильлəə йə'лəмуhəə вəлəə həббəтин фии з̃улюмəəтиль-əрды вəлəə рōтбиу-вəлəə йəəбисин ильлəə фии китəəбимм-мубиин
With Him are the treasures of the Unseen; no one knows them except Him. He knows whatever there is in land and sea. No leaf falls without His knowing it, nor is there a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or withered but it is in a manifest Book. -
6:60
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَىٰ أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَвəhувəль-лəз̃ии йəтəвəффəəкумм-биль-лэйли вəйə'лəму мəə джəрōhтумм-бин-нəhəəри c̃уммə йəб'əc̃укум фииhи лийуќдōō əджəлюмм-мусəммəн, c̃уммə илəйhи мəрджи'укум c̃уммə йунəбби`укумм-бимəə куŋŋтум тə'мəлююн
It is He who takes your souls by night, and He knows what you do by day, then He reanimates you therein so that a specified term may be completed. Then to Him will be your return, whereat He will inform you concerning what you used to do. -
6:61
وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُونَвəhувəль-ќōōhиру фəуќō 'ибəəдиh, вəйурсилю 'əлэйкум həфəз̃ōтəн həттəə из̃əə джəə`ə əhəдəкумуль-мəуту тəвəффəтhу русулюнəə вəhум лəə йуфəрритуун
He is the All-dominant over His servants, and He sends guards to [protect] you. When death approaches anyone of you, Our messengers take him away and they do not neglect [their duty].
