40:77
فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۚ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَфəəсбир иннə вə'дəл-лаhи həќќ, фə`иммəə нурийəннəкə бə'дōль-лəз̃ии нə'идуhум əу нəтəвəффəйəннəкə фə`илəйнəə йурджə'уун
So be patient! Allah’s promise is indeed true. Whether We show you a part of what We promise them, or take you away [before that], [in any case] they will be brought back to Us. -
40:78
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلًا مِّن قَبْلِكَ مِنْهُم مَّن قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّمْ نَقْصُصْ عَلَيْكَ ۗ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَن يَأْتِيَ بِآيَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ قُضِيَ بِالْحَقِّ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْمُبْطِلُونَвəлəќōд əрсəльнəə русулəмм-миŋŋ-ќōбликə минhум-мəŋŋ-ќōсōснəə 'əлэйкə вəминhум-мəль-лəм нəќсус 'əлэйк, вəмəə кəəнə лирōсуулин əй-йə`тийə би`əəйəтин ильлəə би`из̃ниль-лəh, фə`из̃əə джəə`ə əмрул-лаhи ќудыйə би-ль-həќќи вəхōсирō hунəəликəль-мубтылююн
Certainly We have sent apostles before you. Of them are those We have recounted to you, and of them are those We have not recounted to you. An apostle may not bring any sign except by Allah’s permission. Hence, when Allah’s edict comes, judgment is made with justice, and it is thence that the falsifiers become losers. -
40:80
وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا عَلَيْهَا حَاجَةً فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَвəлəкум фииhəə мəнəəфи'у вəлитəблюґуу 'əлэйhəə həəджəтəн фии судуурикум вə'əлэйhəə вə'əлəəль-фульки туhмəлююн
and there are [numerous] uses in them for you, and that over them you may satisfy any need that is in your breasts, and you are carried on them and on ships. -
40:82
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَəфəлəм йəсиируу фииль-əрды фəйəŋŋз̃уруу кəйфə кəəнə 'əəќибəтуль-лəз̃иинə миŋŋ-ќōблиhим, кəəнуу əкc̃əрō минhум вə`əшəддə ќуувəтəу-вə`əəc̃əəрōн фииль-əрды фəмəə əґнəə 'əнhум-мəə кəəнуу йəксибуун
Have they not travelled over the land so that they may observe how was the fate of those who were before them? They were more numerous than them and were greater [than them] in power and with respect to the effects [they left] in the land. But what they used to earn did not avail them. -
40:83
فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَфəлəммəə джəə`əтhум русулюhумм-би-ль-бэййинəəти фəриhуу бимəə 'иŋŋдəhум-минəль-'ильми вəhəəќō биhим-мəə кəəнуу биhи йəстəhзи`уун
When their apostles brought them manifest proofs, they boasted about the knowledge they possessed, but they were besieged by what they used to deride. -
40:84
فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِ مُشْرِكِينَфəлəммəə рō`əу бə`сəнəə ќōōлюю əəмəннəə биль-лəhи вəhдəhу вəкəфəрнəə бимəə куннəə биhи мушрикиин
Then, when they sighted Our punishment, they said, ‘We believe in Allah alone, and disavow what we used to take as His partners.’ -
40:85
فَلَمْ يَكُ يَنفَعُهُمْ إِيمَانُهُمْ لَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا ۖ سُنَّتَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي قَدْ خَلَتْ فِي عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْكَافِرُونَфəлəм йəку йəŋŋфə'уhум иимəəнуhум лəммəə рō`əу бə`сəнəə, суннəтəл-лаhиль-лəтии ќōд хōлəт фии 'ибəəдиh, вəхōсирō hунəəликəль-кəəфируун
But their faith was of no benefit to them when they sighted Our punishment—Allah’s precedent, which has passed among His servants, and it is thence that the faithless will be losers. -
41:5
وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِن بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَвəќōōлюю ќулююбунəə фии əкиннəтимм-миммəə тəд'уунəə илəйhи вəфии əəз̃əəнинəə вəќруу-вəмимм-бэйнинəə вəбэйникə hиджəəбун фəə'мəль иннəнəə 'əəмилююн
They say, ‘Our hearts are in veils [which shut them off] from what you invite us to, and there is a deafness in our ears, and there is a curtain between us and you. So act [as your faith requires]; we too are acting [according to our own].’ -
41:6
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا إِلَيْهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ۗ وَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَќуль иннəмəə əнəə бəшəрумм-миc̃люкум йууhəə илəййə əннəмəə илəəhукум илəəhуу-вəəhидун фəəстəќиимуу илəйhи вəəстəґфирууh, вəвəйлюл-ли-ль-мушрикиин
Say, ‘I am just a human like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is the One God. So worship Him single-mindedly and plead to Him for forgiveness.’ And woe to the polytheists -
41:9
۞ قُلْ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُونَ بِالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُونَ لَهُ أَندَادًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَќуль ə`иннəкум лəтəкфуруунə бильлəз̃ии хōлəќōль-əрдō фии йəумəйни вəтəдж'əлююнə лəhу əŋŋдəəдə, з̃əəликə рōббуль-'əəлəмиин
Say, ‘Do you really disbelieve in Him who created the earth in two days, and ascribe partners to Him? That is the Lord of all the worlds!’ -
41:10
وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ مِن فَوْقِهَا وَبَارَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَا أَقْوَاتَهَا فِي أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ سَوَاءً لِّلسَّائِلِينَвəджə'əлə фииhəə рōвəəсийə миŋŋ-фəуќиhəə вəбəəрōкə фииhəə вəќōддəрō фииhəə əќвəəтəhəə фии əрбə'əти əййəəмин сəвəə`əл-лис-сəə`илиин
He set in it firm mountains, [rising] above it, blessed it, and ordained in it, in four days, [various] means of sustenance, equally for all seekers. -
41:11
ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَهِيَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ ائْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَا أَتَيْنَا طَائِعِينَc̃уммə-стəвəə илəəс-сəмəə`и вəhийə духōōнун фəќōōлə лəhəə вəли-ль-əрды-тийəə тōу'əн əу кəрhəн ќōōлəтəə əтəйнəə тōō`и'иин
Then He turned to the heaven, and it was smoke, and He said to it and to the earth, ‘Come, willingly or unwillingly!’ They said, ‘We come obediently.’
