2:94
قُلْ إِن كَانَتْ لَكُمُ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ عِندَ اللَّهِ خَالِصَةً مِّن دُونِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَќуль иŋŋ-кəəнəт лəкумуд-дəəруль-əəхырōту 'иŋŋдəл-лаhи хōōлисōтəмм-миŋŋ-дуунин-нəəси фəтəмəннəвуль-мəутə иŋŋ-куŋŋтум сōōдиќиин
Say, ‘If the abode of the Hereafter were exclusively for you with Allah, and not for other people, then long for death, should you be truthful.’ -
2:95
وَلَن يَتَمَنَّوْهُ أَبَدًا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّالِمِينَвəлэй-йəтəмəннəуhу əбəдəмм-бимəə ќōддəмəт əйдииhим, вəл-лаhу 'əлиимумм-биз̃-з̃ōōлимиин
But they will not long for it ever because of what their hands have sent ahead, and Allah knows best the wrongdoers. -
2:96
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَاةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا ۚ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَвəлəтəджидəннəhум əhрōсōн-нəəси 'əлəə həйəəтиу-вəминəль-лəз̃иинə əшрōкуу, йəвəдду əhəдуhум лəу йу'əммəру əльфə сəнəтиу-вəмəə hувə бимузəhзиhиhи минəль-'əз̃əəби əй-йу'əммəр, вəл-лаhу бəсыырумм-бимəə йə'мəлююн
Surely, you will find them the greediest for life, of all people even the idolaters. Each of them is eager to live a thousand years, though it would not deliver him from the punishment, were he to live [that long]. And Allah watches what they do. -
2:97
قُلْ مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّجِبْرِيلَ فَإِنَّهُ نَزَّلَهُ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَќуль мəŋŋ-кəəнə 'əдуувəл-лиджибриилə фə`иннəhу нəззəлəhу 'əлəə ќōльбикə би`из̃ниль-лəhи мусōддиќōл-лимəə бэйнə йəдəйhи вəhудəу-вəбушрōō ли-ль-му`миниин
Say, ‘Whoever is an enemy of Gabriel [should know that] it is he who has brought it down on your heart with the will of Allah, confirming what has been [revealed] before it and as a guidance and good news for the faithful.’ -
2:98
مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّلَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَجِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَالَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَدُوٌّ لِّلْكَافِرِينَмəŋŋ-кəəнə 'əдуувəл-лильлəhи вəмəлəə`икəтиhи вəрусулиhи вəджибриилə вəмиикəəлə фə`иннəл-лаhə 'əдуувул-ли-ль-кəəфириин
[Say,] ‘Whoever is an enemy of Allah, His angels and His apostles and Gabriel and Michael, [let him know that] Allah is the enemy of the faithless.’ -
2:100
أَوَكُلَّمَا عَاهَدُوا عَهْدًا نَّبَذَهُ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَəвəкульлəмəə 'əəhəдуу 'əhдəн-ннəбəз̃əhу фəрииќумм-минhум, бəль əкc̃əруhум лəə йу`минуун
Is it not that whenever they made a covenant, a part of them would cast it away? Rather, the majority of them do not have faith. -
2:101
وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَвəлəммəə джəə`əhум рōсуулюмм-мин 'иŋŋдиль-лəhи мусōддиќул-лимəə мə'əhум нəбəз̃ə фəрииќумм-минəль-лəз̃иинə уутууль-китəəбə китəəбəл-лаhи вəрōō`ə з̃уhууриhим кə`əннəhум лəə йə'лəмуун
And when there came to them an apostle from Allah, confirming that which is with them, a part of those who were given the Book cast the Book of Allah behind their back, as if they did not know [that it is Allah’s Book]. -
2:102
وَاتَّبَعُوا مَا تَتْلُو الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَىٰ مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ ۖ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُوا يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ ۚ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ ۖ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ ۚ وَمَا هُم بِضَارِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ ۚ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَвəəттəбə'уу мəə тəтлююш-шəйəəтыыну 'əлəə мульки сулəймəəн, вəмəə кəфəрō сулəймəəну вəлəəкиннəш-шəйəəтыынə кəфəруу йу'əллимуунəн-нəəсəс-сиhрō вəмəə уŋŋзилə 'əлəəль-мəлəкəйни бибəəбилə həəруутə вəмəəруут, вəмəə йу'əллимəəни мин əhəдин həттəə йəќуулəə иннəмəə нəhну фитнəтун фəлəə тəкфур, фəйəтə'əльлəмуунə минhумəə мəə йуфəрриќуунə биhи бэйнəль-мəр`и вəзəуджиh, вəмəə hумм-бидōōрриинə биhи мин əhəдин ильлəə би`из̃ниль-лəh, вəйəтə'əльлəмуунə мəə йəдурруhум вəлəə йəŋŋфə'уhум, вəлəќōд 'əлимуу лəмəни-штəрōōhу мəə лəhу фииль-əəхырōти мин хōлəəќ, вəлəби`сə мəə шəрōу биhи əŋŋфусəhум, лəу кəəнуу йə'лəмуун
And they followed what the devils pursued during Solomon’s reign —and Solomon was not faithless but it was the devils who were faithless—teaching the people magic and what was sent down to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut, who would not teach anyone without telling [him], ‘We are only a test, so do not be faithless.’ But they would learn from those two that with which they would cause a split between man and his wife—though they could not harm anyone with it except with Allah’s leave. They would learn that which would harm them and bring them no benefit; though they certainly knew that anyone who buys it has no share in the Hereafter. Surely, evil is that for which they sold their souls, had they known! -
2:103
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَمَثُوبَةٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ ۖ لَّوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَвəлəу əннəhум əəмəнуу вəəттəќōу лəмəc̃уубəтумм-мин 'иŋŋдиль-лəhи хōйр, лəу кəəнуу йə'лəмуун
Had they been faithful and Godwary, the reward from Allah would have been better, had they known! -
2:104
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَقُولُوا رَاعِنَا وَقُولُوا انظُرْنَا وَاسْمَعُوا ۗ وَلِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу лəə тəќуулюю рōō'инəə вəќуулюю-ŋŋз̃урнəə вəəсмə'уу, вəли-ль-кəəфириинə 'əз̃əəбун əлиим
O you who have faith! Do not say Ra‘ina, but say Unzurna, and listen! And there is a painful punishment for the faithless. -
2:105
مَّا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَلَا الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِмəə йəвəддуль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу мин əhлиль-китəəби вəлəəль-мушрикиинə əй-йунəззəлə 'əлэйкум-мин хōйримм-мир-рōббикум, вəл-лаhу йəхтəссу бирōhмəтиhи мəй-йəшəə, вəл-лаhу з̃ууль-фəдлиль-'əз̃ыым
Neither the faithless from among the People of the Book nor the idolaters like that any good be showered on you from your Lord; but Allah singles out for His mercy whomever He wishes, and Allah is dispenser of a mighty grace. -
2:106
۞ مَا نَنسَخْ مِنْ آيَةٍ أَوْ نُنسِهَا نَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ مِّنْهَا أَوْ مِثْلِهَا ۗ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌмəə нəŋŋсəх мин əəйəтин əу нуŋŋсиhəə нə`ти бихōйримм-минhəə əу миc̃лиhəə, əлəм тə'лəм əннəл-лаhə 'əлəə кулли шэй`ин ќōдиир
For any verse that We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring another which is better than it, or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things? -
2:107
أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍəлəм тə'лəм əннəл-лаhə лəhу мулькус-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрд, вəмəə лəкум-миŋŋ-дууниль-лəhи миу-вəлиййиу-вəлəə нəсыыр
Do you not know that to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth? And besides Allah, you do not have any guardian or helper. -
2:108
أَمْ تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَسْأَلُوا رَسُولَكُمْ كَمَا سُئِلَ مُوسَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ ۗ وَمَن يَتَبَدَّلِ الْكُفْرَ بِالْإِيمَانِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِəм туриидуунə əŋŋ-тəс`əлюю рōсуулəкум кəмəə су`илə муусəə миŋŋ-ќōбль, вəмəй-йəтəбəддəлиль-куфрō би-ль-иимəəни фəќōд дōльлə сəвəə`əс-сəбииль
Would you question your Apostle as Moses was questioned formerly? Whoever changes faith for unfaith certainly strays from the right way. -
2:109
وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّن بَعْدِ إِيمَانِكُمْ كُفَّارًا حَسَدًا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ ۖ فَاعْفُوا وَاصْفَحُوا حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌвəддə кəc̃иирумм-мин əhлиль-китəəби лəу йəруддуунəкум-мимм-бə'ди иимəəникум куффəəрōн həсəдəмм-мин 'иŋŋди əŋŋфусиhим-мимм-бə'ди мəə тəбэййəнə лəhумуль-həќќ, фəə'фуу вəəсфəhуу həттəə йə`тийəл-лаhу би`əмриh, иннəл-лаhə 'əлəə кулли шэй`ин ќōдиир
Many of the People of the Book are eager to turn you into unbelievers after your faith, out of their inner envy, [and] after the truth had become manifest to them. Yet excuse [them] and forbear until Allah issues His edict. Indeed Allah has power over all things. -
2:110
وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ اللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌвə`əќиимуус-сōлəəтə вə`əəтууз-зəкəəh, вəмəə туќōддимуу ли`əŋŋфусикум-мин хōйрин тəджидууhу 'иŋŋдəл-лаh, иннəл-лаhə бимəə тə'мəлююнə бəсыыр
And maintain the prayer and give the zakat. Any good that you send ahead for your own souls, you shall find it with Allah. Indeed Allah watches what you do. -
2:111
وَقَالُوا لَن يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَن كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَىٰ ۗ تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ ۗ قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَвəќōōлюю лэй-йəдхулəль-джəннəтə ильлəə мəŋŋ-кəəнə hуудəн əу нəсōōрōō, тилькə əмəəниййуhум, ќуль həəтуу бурhəəнəкум иŋŋ-куŋŋтум сōōдиќиин
And they say, ‘No one will enter paradise except one who is a Jew or Christian.’ Those are their [false] hopes! Say, ‘Produce your evidence, should you be truthful.’ -
2:112
بَلَىٰ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ فَلَهُ أَجْرُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَбəлəə мəн əслəмə вəджhəhу лильлəhи вəhувə муhсинун фəлəhу əджруhу 'иŋŋдə рōббиhи вəлəə хōуфун 'əлэйhим вəлəə hум йəhзəнуун
Certainly, whoever submits his will to Allah and is virtuous, he shall have his reward from his Lord, and they will have no fear, nor shall they grieve. -
2:113
وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ لَيْسَتِ النَّصَارَىٰ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَىٰ لَيْسَتِ الْيَهُودُ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ وَهُمْ يَتْلُونَ الْكِتَابَ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ ۚ فَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَвəќōōлəтиль-йəhууду лэйсəтин-нəсōōрōō 'əлəə шэй`иу-вəќōōлəтин-нəсōōрōō лэйсəтиль-йəhууду 'əлəə шэй`иу-вəhум йəтлююнəль-китəəб, кəз̃əəликə ќōōлəль-лəз̃иинə лəə йə'лəмуунə миc̃лə ќōулиhим, фəл-лаhу йəhкуму бэйнəhум йəумəль-ќийəəмəти фиимəə кəəнуу фииhи йəхтəлифуун
The Jews say, ‘The Christians stand on nothing,’ and the Christians say, ‘The Jews stand on nothing,’ though they follow the [same] Book. So said those who had no knowledge, [words] similar to what they say. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that about which they used to differ.
