4:44
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبًا مِّنَ الْكِتَابِ يَشْتَرُونَ الضَّلَالَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن تَضِلُّوا السَّبِيلَəлəм тəрō илəəль-лəз̃иинə уутуу нəсыыбəмм-минəль-китəəби йəштəруунəд-дōлəəлəтə вəйуриидуунə əŋŋ-тəдыллююс-сəбииль
Have you not regarded those who were given a share of the Book, who purchase error and desire that you [too] should lose the way? -
4:46
مِّنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِ وَيَقُولُونَ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَاسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍ وَرَاعِنَا لَيًّا بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ وَطَعْنًا فِي الدِّينِ ۚ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَاسْمَعْ وَانظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَأَقْوَمَ وَلَـٰكِن لَّعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًاминəль-лəз̃иинə həəдуу йуhəррифуунəль-кəлимə 'əмм-мəвəəды'иhи вəйəќуулююнə сəми'нəə вə'əсōйнəə вəəсмə' ґōйрō мусмə'иу-вəрōō'инəə лэййəмм-би`əльсинəтиhим вəтō'нəн фиид-диин, вəлəу əннəhум ќōōлюю сəми'нəə вə`əтō'нəə вəəсмə' вəəŋŋз̃урнəə лəкəəнə хōйрōль-лəhум вə`əќвəмə вəлəəкиль-лə'əнəhумул-лаhу бикуфриhим фəлəə йу`минуунə ильлəə ќōлиилə
Among the Jews are those who pervert words from their meanings and say, ‘We hear and disobey’ and ‘Hear without listening!’ and ‘Ra’ina,’ twisting their tongues and reviling the faith. But had they said, ‘We hear and obey’ and ‘Listen’ and ‘Unzurna,’ it would have been better for them and more upright. But Allah has cursed them for their faithlessness, so they will not believe except a few. -
4:47
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ آمِنُوا بِمَا نَزَّلْنَا مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّطْمِسَ وُجُوهًا فَنَرُدَّهَا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِهَا أَوْ نَلْعَنَهُمْ كَمَا لَعَنَّا أَصْحَابَ السَّبْتِ ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ مَفْعُولًاйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə уутууль-китəəбə əəминуу бимəə нəззəльнəə мусōддиќōл-лимəə мə'əкум-миŋŋ-ќōбли əн-нəтмисə вуджууhəн фəнəруддəhəə 'əлəə əдбəəриhəə əу нəль'əнəhум кəмəə лə'əннəə əсhəəбəс-сəбт, вəкəəнə əмрул-лаhи мəф'уулə
O you who were given the Book! Believe in what We have sent down confirming what is with you, before We blot out the faces and turn them backwards, or curse them as We cursed the People of the Sabbath, and Allah’s command is bound to be fulfilled. -
4:48
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ افْتَرَىٰ إِثْمًا عَظِيمًاиннəл-лаhə лəə йəґфиру əй-йушрōкə биhи вəйəґфиру мəə дуунə з̃əəликə лимəй-йəшəə, вəмəй-йушрик биль-лəhи фəќōди-фтəрōō иc̃мəн 'əз̃ыымə
Indeed Allah does not forgive that partners should be ascribed to Him, but He forgives anything besides that to whomever He wishes. Whoever ascribes partners to Allah has indeed fabricated [a lie] in great sinfulness. -
4:49
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يُزَكُّونَ أَنفُسَهُم ۚ بَلِ اللَّهُ يُزَكِّي مَن يَشَاءُ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًاəлəм тəрō илəəль-лəз̃иинə йузəккуунə əŋŋфусəhум, бəлиль-лəhу йузəккии мəй-йəшəə`у вəлəə йуз̃лəмуунə фəтиилə
Have you not regarded those who style themselves as pure? Indeed, it is Allah who purifies whomever He wishes, and they will not be wronged [so much as] a single date-thread. -
4:51
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبًا مِّنَ الْكِتَابِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْجِبْتِ وَالطَّاغُوتِ وَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هَـٰؤُلَاءِ أَهْدَىٰ مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا سَبِيلًاəлəм тəрō илəəль-лəз̃иинə уутуу нəсыыбəмм-минəль-китəəби йу`минуунə би-ль-джибти вəт-тōōґуути вəйəќуулююнə лильлəз̃иинə кəфəруу həə`улəə`и əhдəə минəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу сəбиилə
Have you not regarded those who were given a share of the Book, believing in idols and fake deities and saying of the pagans: ‘These are better guided on the way than the faithful’? -
4:52
أُولَـٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَمَن يَلْعَنِ اللَّهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُ نَصِيرًاуулəə`икəль-лəз̃иинə лə'əнəhумул-лаh, вəмəй-йəль'əниль-лəhу фəлəŋŋ-тəджидə лəhу нəсыырō
They are the ones whom Allah has cursed, and whomever Allah curses, you will never find any helper for him. -
4:54
أَمْ يَحْسُدُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَىٰ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ ۖ فَقَدْ آتَيْنَا آلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَآتَيْنَاهُم مُّلْكًا عَظِيمًاəм йəhсудуунəн-нəəсə 'əлəə мəə əəтəəhумул-лаhу миŋŋ-фəдлиh, фəќōд əəтəйнəə əəлə ибрōōhиимəль-китəəбə вəəльhикмəтə вə`əəтəйнəəhум-мулькəн 'əз̃ыымə
Do they envy those people for what Allah has given them out of His bounty? We have certainly given the progeny of Abraham the Book and wisdom, and We have given them a great sovereignty. -
4:56
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِمْ نَارًا كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُم بَدَّلْنَاهُمْ جُلُودًا غَيْرَهَا لِيَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًاиннəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу би`əəйəəтинəə сəуфə нуслииhим нəəрōн кульлəмəə нəдыджəт джулююдуhумм-бəддəльнəəhум джулююдəн ґōйрōhəə лийəз̃ууќууль-'əз̃əəб, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə 'əзиизəн həкиимə
Indeed We shall soon make those who deny Our signs enter a Fire: as often as their skins become scorched, We shall replace them with other skins, so that they may taste the punishment. Indeed Allah is all-mighty, all-wise. -
4:57
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۖ لَّهُمْ فِيهَا أَزْوَاجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ ۖ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلًّا ظَلِيلًاвəəльлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əмилююс-сōōлиhəəти сəнудхылюhум джəннəəтин тəджрии миŋŋ-тəhтиhəəль-əнhəəру хōōлидиинə фииhəə əбəдə, лəhум фииhəə əзвəəджумм-мутōhhəрōh, вəнудхылюhум з̃ыльлəн з̃ōлиилə
As for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, We shall admit them into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them forever. In it, there will be chaste mates for them, and We shall admit them into a deep shade. -
4:58
۞ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَن تُؤَدُّوا الْأَمَانَاتِ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهَا وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُم بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَن تَحْكُمُوا بِالْعَدْلِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُم بِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًاиннəл-лаhə йə`мурукум əŋŋ-ту`əддууль-əмəəнəəти илəə əhлиhəə вə`из̃əə həкəмтумм-бэйнəн-нəəси əŋŋ-тəhкумуу би-ль-'əдль, иннəл-лаhə ни'иммəə йə'из̃укумм-биh, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə сəмии'əмм-бəсыырō
Indeed Allah commands you to deliver the trusts to their [rightful] owners, and to judge with fairness when you judge between people. Excellent indeed is what Allah advises you. Indeed Allah is all-hearing, all-seeing. -
4:59
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ ۖ فَإِن تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًاйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу əтыы'уул-лаhə вə`əтыы'уур-рōсуулə вə`уулииль-əмри миŋŋкум, фə`иŋŋ-тəнəəзə'тум фии шэй`ин фəруддууhу илəл-лаhи вəр-рōсуули иŋŋ-куŋŋтум ту`минуунə биль-лəhи вəəльйəумиль-əəхыр, з̃əəликə хōйруу-вə`əhсəну тə`виилə
O you who have faith! Obey Allah and obey the Apostle and those vested with authority among you. And if you dispute concerning anything, refer it to Allah and the Apostle, if you have faith in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more favourable in outcome. -
4:60
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَحَاكَمُوا إِلَى الطَّاغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُوا أَن يَكْفُرُوا بِهِ وَيُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَن يُضِلَّهُمْ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًاəлəм тəрō илəəль-лəз̃иинə йəз'умуунə əннəhум əəмəнуу бимəə уŋŋзилə илəйкə вəмəə уŋŋзилə миŋŋ-ќōбликə йуриидуунə əй-йəтəhəəкəмуу илəəт-тōōґуути вəќōд умируу əй-йəкфуруу биhи вəйуриидуш-шэйтōōну əй-йудыльлəhум дōлəəлəмм-бə'иидə
Have you not regarded those who claim that they believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you? They desire to seek the judgment of fake deities, though they were commanded to reject them, and Satan desires to lead them astray into far error. -
4:61
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا إِلَىٰ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ رَأَيْتَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَنكَ صُدُودًاвə`из̃əə ќиилə лəhум тə'əəлəу илəə мəə əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу вə`илəəр-рōсуули рō`əйтəль-мунəəфиќиинə йəсуддуунə 'əŋŋкə судуудə
When they are told, ‘Come to what Allah has sent down and [come] to the Apostle,’ you see the hypocrites keep away from you aversely. -
4:62
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ جَاءُوكَ يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَا إِلَّا إِحْسَانًا وَتَوْفِيقًاфəкəйфə из̃əə əсōōбəтhум-мусыыбəтумм-бимəə ќōддəмəт əйдииhим c̃уммə джəə`уукə йəhлифуунə биль-лəhи ин əрōднəə ильлəə иhсəəнəу-вəтəуфииќō
But how will it be when an affliction visits them because of what their hands have sent ahead? Then they will come to you, swearing by Allah, ‘We desired nothing but to do good and to bring about comity.’ -
4:63
أُولَـٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ مَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَعِظْهُمْ وَقُل لَّهُمْ فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ قَوْلًا بَلِيغًاуулəə`икəль-лəз̃иинə йə'лəмул-лаhу мəə фии ќулююбиhим фə`ə'рид 'əнhум вə'из̃hум вəќуль-лəhум фии əŋŋфусиhим ќōулəмм-бəлииґō
They are the ones whom Allah knows as to what is in their hearts. So let them alone, and advise them, and speak to them concerning themselves far-reaching words.
