4:124
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ مِن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَـٰئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ نَقِيرًاвəмəй-йə'мəль минəс-сōōлиhəəти миŋŋ-з̃əкəрин əу уŋŋc̃əə вəhувə му`минун фə`уулəə`икə йəдхулююнəль-джəннəтə вəлəə йуз̃лəмуунə нəќиирō
And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, should he be faithful—such shall enter paradise and they will not be wronged [so much as] the speck on a date-stone. -
4:125
وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِينًا مِّمَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ وَاتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا ۗ وَاتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلًاвəмəн əhсəну диинəмм-миммəн əслəмə вəджhəhу лильлəhи вəhувə муhсинуу-вəəттəбə'ə мильлəтə ибрōōhиимə həниифə, вəəттəхōз̃əл-лаhу ибрōōhиимə хōлиилə
Who has a better religion than him who submits his will to Allah, being virtuous, and follows the creed of Abraham, a Hanif? And Allah took Abraham for a dedicated friend. -
4:126
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُّحِيطًاвəлильлəhи мəə фиис-сəмəəвəəти вəмəə фииль-əрд, вəкəəнəл-лаhу бикулли шэй`имм-муhиитō
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah comprehends all things. -
4:127
وَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَ فِي النِّسَاءِ ۖ قُلِ اللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِيهِنَّ وَمَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الْكِتَابِ فِي يَتَامَى النِّسَاءِ اللَّاتِي لَا تُؤْتُونَهُنَّ مَا كُتِبَ لَهُنَّ وَتَرْغَبُونَ أَن تَنكِحُوهُنَّ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الْوِلْدَانِ وَأَن تَقُومُوا لِلْيَتَامَىٰ بِالْقِسْطِ ۚ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِهِ عَلِيمًاвəйəстəфтуунəкə фиин-нисəə, ќулиль-лəhу йуфтиикум фииhиннə вəмəə йутлəə 'əлэйкум фииль-китəəби фии йəтəəмəəн-нисəə`иль-лəəтии лəə ту`туунəhуннə мəə кутибə лəhуннə вəтəрґōбуунə əŋŋ-тəŋŋкиhууhуннə вəəльмустəд'əфиинə минəль-вильдəəни вə`əŋŋ-тəќуумуу ли-ль-йəтəəмəə би-ль-ќист, вəмəə тəф'əлюю мин хōйрин фə`иннəл-лаhə кəəнə биhи 'əлиимə
They seek your ruling concerning women. Say, ‘Allah gives you a ruling concerning them and what is announced to you in the Book concerning girl orphans—whom you do not give what has been prescribed for them, and yet you desire to marry them—and about the weak among children: that you should maintain the orphans with justice, and whatever good you do, indeed Allah knows it well. -
4:128
وَإِنِ امْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِن بَعْلِهَا نُشُوزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا أَن يُصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا ۚ وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ ۗ وَأُحْضِرَتِ الْأَنفُسُ الشُّحَّ ۚ وَإِن تُحْسِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًاвə`ини-мрō`əтун хōōфəт мимм-бə'лиhəə нушуузəн əу и'рōōдōн фəлəə джунəəhə 'əлэйhимəə əй-йуслиhəə бэйнəhумəə сульhə, вəс-сульhу хōйр, вə`уhдырōтиль-əŋŋфусуш-шуhh, вə`иŋŋ-туhсинуу вəтəттəќуу фə`иннəл-лаhə кəəнə бимəə тə'мəлююнə хōбиирō
If a woman fears from her husband misconduct or desertion, there is no sin upon the couple if they reach a reconciliation between themselves; and reconcilement is better. The souls are prone to greed; but if you are virtuous and Godwary, Allah is indeed well aware of what you do. -
4:129
وَلَن تَسْتَطِيعُوا أَن تَعْدِلُوا بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ ۖ فَلَا تَمِيلُوا كُلَّ الْمَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوهَا كَالْمُعَلَّقَةِ ۚ وَإِن تُصْلِحُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًاвəлəŋŋ-тəстəтыы'уу əŋŋ-тə'дилюю бэйнəн-нисəə`и вəлəу həрōстум, фəлəə тəмиилюю кульлəль-мəйли фəтəз̃əрууhəə кəəльму'əльлəќōh, вə`иŋŋ-туслиhуу вəтəттəќуу фə`иннəл-лаhə кəəнə ґōфуурōр-рōhиимə
You will not be able to be fair between wives, even if you are eager to do so. Yet do not turn away from one altogether, leaving her as if in a suspense. But if you are conciliatory and Godwary, Allah is indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful. -
4:130
وَإِن يَتَفَرَّقَا يُغْنِ اللَّهُ كُلًّا مِّن سَعَتِهِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ وَاسِعًا حَكِيمًاвə`ий-йəтəфəррōќōō йуґниль-лəhу кульлəмм-миŋŋ-сə'əтиh, вəкəəнəл-лаhу вəəси'əн həкиимə
But if they separate, Allah will suffice each of them out of His bounty, and Allah is all-bounteous, all-wise. -
4:131
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ أَنِ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ وَإِن تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَنِيًّا حَمِيدًاвəлильлəhи мəə фиис-сəмəəвəəти вəмəə фииль-əрд, вəлəќōд вəссōйнəəль-лəз̃иинə уутууль-китəəбə миŋŋ-ќōбликум вə`иййəəкум əни-ттəќуул-лаh, вə`иŋŋ-тəкфуруу фə`иннə лильлəhи мəə фиис-сəмəəвəəти вəмəə фииль-əрд, вəкəəнəл-лаhу ґōниййəн həмиидə
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. We have certainly enjoined those who were given the Book before you, and you, that you should be wary of Allah. But if you are faithless, [you should know that] to Allah indeed belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah is all-sufficient, all-laudable. -
4:133
إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ وَيَأْتِ بِآخَرِينَ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ قَدِيرًاий-йəшə йуз̃hибкум əййуhəəн-нəəсу вəйə`ти би`əəхōриин, вəкəəнəл-лаhу 'əлəə з̃əəликə ќōдиирō
If He wishes, He will take you away, O mankind, and bring others [in your place]; Allah has the power to do that. -
4:134
مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا فَعِندَ اللَّهِ ثَوَابُ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًاмəŋŋ-кəəнə йурииду c̃əвəəбəд-дунйəə фə'иŋŋдəл-лаhи c̃əвəəбуд-дунйəə вəəль`əəхырōh, вəкəəнəл-лаhу сəмии'əмм-бəсыырō
Whoever desires the reward of this world, [should know that] with Allah is the reward of this world and the Hereafter, and Allah is all-hearing, all-seeing. -
4:135
۞ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَاءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَوِ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأَقْرَبِينَ ۚ إِن يَكُنْ غَنِيًّا أَوْ فَقِيرًا فَاللَّهُ أَوْلَىٰ بِهِمَا ۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا الْهَوَىٰ أَن تَعْدِلُوا ۚ وَإِن تَلْوُوا أَوْ تُعْرِضُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًاйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу куунуу ќōувəəмиинə би-ль-ќисты шуhəдəə`ə лильлəhи вəлəу 'əлəə əŋŋфусикум əвиль-вəəлидəйни вəəль`əќрōбиин, ий-йəкун ґōниййəн əу фəќиирōн фəл-лаhу əулəə биhимəə, фəлəə тəттəби'ууль-həвəə əŋŋ-тə'дилюу, вə`иŋŋ-тəльвуу əу ту'ридуу фə`иннəл-лаhə кəəнə бимəə тə'мəлююнə хōбиирō
O you who have faith! Be maintainers of justice and witnesses for the sake of Allah, even if it should be against yourselves or [your] parents and near relatives, and whether it be [someone] rich or poor, for Allah has a greater right over them. So do not follow [your] desires, lest you should be unfair, and if you distort [the testimony] or disregard [it], Allah is indeed well aware of what you do. -
4:136
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَالْكِتَابِ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ وَالْكِتَابِ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًاйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу əəминуу биль-лəhи вəрōсуулиhи вəəлькитəəбиль-лəз̃ии нəззəлə 'əлəə рōсуулиhи вəəлькитəəбиль-лəз̃ии əŋŋзəлə миŋŋ-ќōбль, вəмəй-йəкфур биль-лəhи вəмəлəə`икəтиhи вəкутубиhи вəрусулиhи вəəльйəумиль-əəхыри фəќōд дōльлə дōлəəлəмм-бə'иидə
O you who have faith! Have faith in Allah and His Apostle and the Book that He has sent down to His Apostle and the Book He had sent down earlier. Whoever disbelieves in Allah and His angels, His Books and His apostles and the Last Day, has certainly strayed into far error. -
4:137
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا ثُمَّ آمَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا ثُمَّ ازْدَادُوا كُفْرًا لَّمْ يَكُنِ اللَّهُ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ وَلَا لِيَهْدِيَهُمْ سَبِيلًاиннəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу c̃уммə кəфəруу c̃уммə əəмəнуу c̃уммə кəфəруу c̃уммə-здəəдуу куфрōль-лəм йəкуниль-лəhу лийəґфирō лəhум вəлəə лийəhдийəhум сəбиилə
As for those who believe and then disbelieve, then believe [again] and then disbelieve and then increase in disbelief, Allah shall never forgive them, nor shall He guide them to any way. -
4:139
الَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِن دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِندَهُمُ الْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًاəльлəз̃иинə йəттəхыз̃уунəль-кəəфириинə əулийəə`ə миŋŋ-дууниль-му`миниин, əйəбтəґуунə 'иŋŋдəhумуль-'иззəтə фə`иннəль-'иззəтə лильлəhи джəмии'ə
—those who take the faithless for allies instead of the faithful. Do they seek honour with them? [If so,] indeed all honour belongs to Allah. -
4:140
وَقَدْ نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الْكِتَابِ أَنْ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ يُكْفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ بِهَا فَلَا تَقْعُدُوا مَعَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ ۚ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا مِّثْلُهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَامِعُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْكَافِرِينَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ جَمِيعًاвəќōд нəззəлə 'əлэйкум фииль-китəəби əн из̃əə сəми'тум əəйəəтиль-лəhи йукфəру биhəə вəйустəhзə`у биhəə фəлəə тəќ'удуу мə'əhум həттəə йəхуудуу фии həдииc̃ин ґōйриh, иннəкум из̃əмм-миc̃люhум, иннəл-лаhə джəəми'уль-мунəəфиќиинə вəəлькəəфириинə фии джəhəннəмə джəмии'ə
Certainly He has sent down to you in the Book that when you hear Allah’s signs being disbelieved and derided, do not sit with them until they engage in some other discourse, or else you [too] will be like them. Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and the faithless in hell all together -
4:141
الَّذِينَ يَتَرَبَّصُونَ بِكُمْ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ فَتْحٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَكُن مَّعَكُمْ وَإِن كَانَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ نَصِيبٌ قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَسْتَحْوِذْ عَلَيْكُمْ وَنَمْنَعْكُم مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ فَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ وَلَن يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَبِيلًاəльлəз̃иинə йəтəрōббəсуунə бикум фə`иŋŋ-кəəнə лəкум фəтhумм-минəл-лаhи ќōōлюю əлəм нəкумм-мə'əкум вə`иŋŋ-кəəнə ли-ль-кəəфириинə нəсыыбун ќōōлюю əлəм нəстəhвиз̃ 'əлэйкум вəнəмнə'кум-минəль-му`миниин, фəл-лаhу йəhкуму бэйнəкум йəумəль-ќийəəмəh, вəлэй-йəдж'əлəл-лаhу ли-ль-кəəфириинə 'əлəəль-му`миниинə сəбиилə
—those who lie in wait for you: if there is a victory for you from Allah, they say, ‘Were we not with you?’ But if the faithless get a share [of victory], they say, ‘Did we not prevail upon you and defend you against the faithful?’ Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will never provide the faithless any way [to prevail] over the faithful. -
4:142
إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ يُخَادِعُونَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ خَادِعُهُمْ وَإِذَا قَامُوا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ قَامُوا كُسَالَىٰ يُرَاءُونَ النَّاسَ وَلَا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًاиннəль-мунəəфиќиинə йухōōди'уунəл-лаhə вəhувə хōōди'уhум вə`из̃əə ќōōмуу илəəс-сōлəəти ќōōмуу кусəəлəə йурōō`уунəн-нəəсə вəлəə йəз̃куруунəл-лаhə ильлəə ќōлиилə
The hypocrites indeed seek to deceive Allah, but it is He who outwits them. When they stand up for prayer, they stand up lazily, showing off to the people and not remembering Allah except a little, -
4:143
مُّذَبْذَبِينَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ لَا إِلَىٰ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ وَلَا إِلَىٰ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ ۚ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُ سَبِيلًاмуз̃əбз̃əбиинə бэйнə з̃əəликə лəə илəə həə`улəə`и вəлəə илəə həə`улəə, вəмəй-йудлилиль-лəhу фəлəŋŋ-тəджидə лəhу сəбиилə
wavering in between: neither with these, nor with those. And whomever Allah leads astray, you will never find any way for him.
