9:26
ثُمَّ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ وَعَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَنزَلَ جُنُودًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَعَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَc̃уммə əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу сəкиинəтəhу 'əлəə рōсуулиhи вə'əлəəль-му`миниинə вə`əŋŋзəлə джунуудəль-лəм тəрōуhəə вə'əз̃з̃əбəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу, вəз̃əəликə джəзəə`уль-кəəфириин
Then Allah sent down His composure upon His Apostle and upon the faithful, and He sent down hosts you did not see, and He punished the faithless, and that is the requital of the faithless. -
9:28
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌ فَلَا يَقْرَبُوا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَـٰذَا ۚ وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةً فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيكُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ إِن شَاءَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу иннəмəəль-мушрикуунə нəджəсун фəлəə йəќрōбууль-мəсджидəль-həрōōмə бə'дə 'əəмиhим həəз̃əə, вə`ин хыфтум 'əйлəтəн фəсəуфə йуґниикумул-лаhу миŋŋ-фəдлиhи иŋŋ-шəə, иннəл-лаhə 'əлиимун həкиим
O you who have faith! The polytheists are indeed unclean: so let them not approach the Holy Mosque after this year. Should you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you out of His grace, if He wishes. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise. -
9:29
قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَلَا يَدِينُونَ دِينَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حَتَّىٰ يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَن يَدٍ وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَќōōтилююль-лəз̃иинə лəə йу`минуунə биль-лəhи вəлəə би-ль-йəумиль-əəхыри вəлəə йуhəрримуунə мəə həррōмəл-лаhу вəрōсуулюhу вəлəə йəдиинуунə диинəль-həќќи минəль-лəз̃иинə уутууль-китəəбə həттəə йу'тууль-джизйəтə 'əй-йəдиу-вəhум сōōґируун
Fight those who do not have faith in Allah nor [believe] in the Last Day, nor forbid what Allah and His Apostle have forbidden, nor practise the true religion, from among those who were given the Book, until they pay the tribute out of hand, degraded. -
9:30
وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ابْنُ اللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللَّهِ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ قَوْلُهُم بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ ۖ يُضَاهِئُونَ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَبْلُ ۚ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَвəќōōлəтиль-йəhууду 'узəйрун-бнул-лаhи вəќōōлəтин-нəсōōрōōль-мəсииhу-бнул-лаh, з̃əəликə ќōулюhумм-би`əфвəəhиhим, йудōōhи`уунə ќōулəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу миŋŋ-ќōбль, ќōōтəлəhумул-лаh, əннəə йу`фəкуун
The Jews say, ‘Ezra is the son of Allah,’ and the Christians say, ‘Christ is the son of Allah.’ That is an opinion that they mouth, imitating the opinions of the faithless of former times. May Allah assail them, where do they stray?! -
9:31
اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَـٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ لَّا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَиттəхōз̃уу əhбəəрōhум вəруhбəəнəhум əрбəəбəмм-миŋŋ-дууниль-лəhи вəəльмəсииhə-бнə мəрйəмə вəмəə умируу ильлəə лийə'будуу илəəhəу-вəəhидə, лəə илəəhə ильлəə hуу, субhəəнəhу 'əммəə йушрикуун
They have taken their scribes and their monks as lords besides Allah, and also Christ, Mary’s son; though they were commanded to worship only the One God, there is no god except Him; He is far too immaculate to have any partners that they ascribe [to Him]! -
9:32
يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَйуриидуунə əй-йутфи`уу нуурōл-лаhи би`əфвəəhиhим вəйə`бəл-лаhу ильлəə əй-йутиммə нуурōhу вəлəу кəриhəль-кəəфируун
They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah is intent on perfecting His light though the faithless should be averse. -
9:33
هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَhувəль-лəз̃ии əрсəлə рōсуулəhу би-ль-hудəə вəдииниль-həќќи лийуз̃hирōhу 'əлəəд-диини куллиhи вəлəу кəриhəль-мушрикуун
It is He who has sent His Apostle with the guidance and the religion of truth that He may make it prevail over all religions, though the polytheists should be averse. -
9:34
۞ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْأَحْبَارِ وَالرُّهْبَانِ لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу иннə кəc̃иирōмм-минəль-əhбəəри вəр-руhбəəни лəйə`кулююнə əмвəəлəн-нəəси би-ль-бəəтыли вəйəсуддуунə 'əŋŋ-сəбиилиль-лəh, вəəльлəз̃иинə йəкнизуунəз̃-з̃əhəбə вəəльфиддōтə вəлəə йуŋŋфиќуунəhəə фии сəбиилиль-лəhи фəбəшширhумм-би'əз̃əəбин əлиим
O you who have faith! Indeed many of the scribes and monks wrongfully eat up the people’s wealth, and bar [them] from the way of Allah. Those who treasure up gold and silver, and do not spend it in the way of Allah, inform them of a painful punishment -
9:35
يَوْمَ يُحْمَىٰ عَلَيْهَا فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَىٰ بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ ۖ هَـٰذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا مَا كُنتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَйəумə йуhмəə 'əлэйhəə фии нəəри джəhəннəмə фəтуквəə биhəə джибəəhуhум вəджунуубуhум вəз̃уhууруhум, həəз̃əə мəə кəнəзтум ли`əŋŋфусикум фəз̃ууќуу мəə куŋŋтум тəкнизуун
on the day when these shall be heated in hellfire and therewith branded on their foreheads, their sides, and their backs [and told]: ‘This is what you treasured up for yourselves! So taste what you have treasured!’ -
9:36
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَиннə 'иддəтəш-шуhуури 'иŋŋдəл-лаhи-c̃нəə 'əшəрō шəhрōн фии китəəбиль-лəhи йəумə хōлəќōс-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрдō минhəə əрбə'əтун hурум, з̃əəликəд-диинуль-ќōййим, фəлəə тəз̃лимуу фииhиннə əŋŋфусəкум, вəќōōтилююль-мушрикиинə кəəффəтəн кəмəə йуќōōтилююнəкум кəəффəh, вəə'лəмуу əннəл-лаhə мə'əль-муттəќиин
Indeed the number of months with Allah is twelve months in Allah’s Book, the day when He created the heavens and the earth. Of these, four are sacred. That is the upright religion. So do not wrong yourselves during them. Fight all the polytheists, just as they fight you all, and know that Allah is with the Godwary. -
9:37
إِنَّمَا النَّسِيءُ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْكُفْرِ ۖ يُضَلُّ بِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُحِلُّونَهُ عَامًا وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُ عَامًا لِّيُوَاطِئُوا عِدَّةَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ فَيُحِلُّوا مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ ۚ زُيِّنَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ أَعْمَالِهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَиннəмəəн-нəсии`у зийəəдəтун фииль-куфр, йудōллю биhиль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу йуhиллююнəhу 'əəмəу-вəйуhəрримуунəhу 'əəмəл-лийувəəты`уу 'иддəтə мəə həррōмəл-лаhу фəйуhиллюю мəə həррōмəл-лаh, зуййинə лəhум суу`у ə'мəəлиhим, вəл-лаhу лəə йəhдииль-ќōумəль-кəəфириин
Indeed nasee is an increase in unfaith, whereby the faithless are led [further] astray. They allow it in one year and forbid it another year, so as to fit in with the number, which Allah has made inviolable, thus permitting what Allah has forbidden. Their evil deeds appear to them as decorous, and Allah does not guide the faithless lot. -
9:38
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمُ انفِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ۚ أَرَضِيتُم بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ ۚ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу мəə лəкум из̃əə ќиилə лəкуму-ŋŋфируу фии сəбиилиль-лəhи-c̃c̃əəќōльтум илəəль-əрд, əрōдыытумм-би-ль-həйəəтид-дунйəə минəль-əəхырōh, фəмəə мəтəə'уль-həйəəтид-дунйəə фииль-əəхырōти ильлəə ќōлииль
O you who have faith! What is the matter with you that when you are told: ‘Go forth in the way of Allah,’ you sink heavily to the ground? Are you pleased with the life of this world instead of the Hereafter? But the wares of the life of this world compared with the Hereafter are but insignificant. -
9:39
إِلَّا تَنفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَيَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّوهُ شَيْئًا ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌильлəə тəŋŋфируу йу'əз̃з̃ибкум 'əз̃əəбəн əлиимəу-вəйəстəбдиль ќōумəн ґōйрōкум вəлəə тəдуррууhу шэй`ə, вəл-лаhу 'əлəə кулли шэй`ин ќōдиир
If you do not go forth, He will punish you with a painful punishment, and replace you with another people, and you will not hurt Him in the least, and Allah has power over all things. -
9:40
إِلَّا تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا ۖ فَأَنزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا السُّفْلَىٰ ۗ وَكَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌильлəə тəŋŋсурууhу фəќōд нəсōрōhул-лаhу из̃ əхрōджəhуль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу c̃əəнийə-c̃нəйни из̃ hумəə фииль-ґōōри из̃ йəќуулю лисōōhибиhи лəə тəhзəн иннəл-лаhə мə'əнəə, фə`əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу сəкиинəтəhу 'əлэйhи вə`əййəдəhу биджунуудиль-лəм тəрōуhəə вəджə'əлə кəлимəтəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруус-суфлəə, вəкəлимəтул-лаhи hийəль-'ульйəə, вəл-лаhу 'əзиизун həкиим
If you do not help him, then Allah certainly helped him when the faithless expelled him, as one of two [refugees], when the two of them were in the cave, he said to his companion, ‘Do not grieve; Allah is indeed with us.’ Then Allah sent down His composure upon him, and strengthened him with hosts you did not see, and He made the word of the faithless the lowest; and the word of Allah is the highest; and Allah is all-mighty, all-wise. -
9:41
انفِرُوا خِفَافًا وَثِقَالًا وَجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَиŋŋфируу хыфəəфəу-вəc̃иќōōлəу-вəджəəhидуу би`əмвəəликум вə`əŋŋфусикум фии сəбиилиль-лəh, з̃əəликум хōйруль-лəкум иŋŋ-куŋŋтум тə'лəмуун
Go forth, whether [armed] lightly or heavily, and wage jihad with your possessions and persons in the way of Allah. That is better for you, should you know. -
9:42
لَوْ كَانَ عَرَضًا قَرِيبًا وَسَفَرًا قَاصِدًا لَّاتَّبَعُوكَ وَلَـٰكِن بَعُدَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّقَّةُ ۚ وَسَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْنَا لَخَرَجْنَا مَعَكُمْ يُهْلِكُونَ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَлəу кəəнə 'əрōдōн ќōриибəу-вəсəфəрōн ќōōсыдəль-лəəттəбə'уукə вəлəəкимм-бə'удəт 'əлэйhимуш-шуќќōh, вəсəйəhлифуунə биль-лəhи лəви-стəтō'нəə лəхōрōджнəə мə'əкум йуhликуунə əŋŋфусəhум вəл-лаhу йə'лəму иннəhум лəкəəз̃ибуун
Were it an accessible gain or a short journey, they would have surely followed you; but the distance seemed too far to them. Yet they will swear by Allah: ‘If we could, we would have surely gone forth with you.’ They [merely] destroy themselves. Allah knows that they are indeed liars. -
9:43
عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنكَ لِمَ أَذِنتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَتَعْلَمَ الْكَاذِبِينَ'əфəл-лаhу 'əŋŋкə лимə əз̃иŋŋтə лəhум həттəə йəтəбэййəнə лəкəль-лəз̃иинə сōдəќуу вəтə'лəмəль-кəəз̃ибиин
May Allah excuse you! Why did you grant them leave [to stay behind] before those who told the truth were evident to you and you had ascertained the liars? -
9:44
لَا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَن يُجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالْمُتَّقِينَлəə йəстə`з̃инукəль-лəз̃иинə йу`минуунə биль-лəhи вəəльйəумиль-əəхыри əй-йуджəəhидуу би`əмвəəлиhим вə`əŋŋфусиhим, вəл-лаhу 'əлиимумм-би-ль-муттəќиин
Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day do not ask you for leave [exempting them] from waging jihad with their possessions and their persons, and Allah knows best the Godwary. -
9:45
إِنَّمَا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَارْتَابَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي رَيْبِهِمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَиннəмəə йəстə`з̃инукəль-лəз̃иинə лəə йу`минуунə биль-лəhи вəəльйəумиль-əəхыри вəəртəəбəт ќулююбуhум фəhум фии рōйбиhим йəтəрōддəдуун
Only those seek a leave [of exemption] from you who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, and whose hearts are in doubt, so they waver in their doubt.
