8:61
۞ وَإِن جَنَحُوا لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُвə`иŋŋ-джəнəhуу лис-сəльми фəəджнəh лəhəə вəтəвəккəль 'əлəл-лаh, иннəhу hувəс-сəмии'уль-'əлиим
If they incline toward peace, then you [too] incline toward it, and put your trust in Allah. Indeed He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. -
8:62
وَإِن يُرِيدُوا أَن يَخْدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ الَّذِي أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِ وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَвə`ий-йуриидуу əй-йəхдə'уукə фə`иннə həсбəкəл-лаh, hувəль-лəз̃ии əййəдəкə бинəсриhи вəби-ль-му`миниин
But if they desire to deceive you, Allah is indeed sufficient for you. It is He who strengthened you with His help and with the means of the faithful, -
8:63
وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ لَوْ أَنفَقْتَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مَّا أَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَـٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌвə`əльлəфə бэйнə ќулююбиhим, лəу əŋŋфəќтə мəə фииль-əрды джəмии'əмм-мəə əльлəфтə бэйнə ќулююбиhим вəлəəкиннəл-лаhə əльлəфə бэйнəhум, иннəhу 'əзиизун həкиим
and united their hearts. Had you spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allah united them together. Indeed He is all-mighty, all-wise. -
8:65
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى الْقِتَالِ ۚ إِن يَكُن مِّنكُمْ عِشْرُونَ صَابِرُونَ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ ۚ وَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُم مِّائَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا أَلْفًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَйəə əййуhəəн-нəбиййу həрридыль-му`миниинə 'əлəəль-ќитəəль, ий-йəкумм-миŋŋкум 'ишруунə сōōбируунə йəґлибуу ми`əтəйн, вə`ий-йəкумм-миŋŋкум-ми`əтуй-йəґлибуу əльфəмм-минəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу би`əннəhум ќōумуль-лəə йəфќōhуун
O Prophet! Urge on the faithful to fight: If there be twenty patient men among you, they shall overcome two hundred; and if there be a hundred of you, they shall overcome a thousand of the faithless, for they are a lot who do not understand. -
8:66
الْآنَ خَفَّفَ اللَّهُ عَنكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ ضَعْفًا ۚ فَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُم مِّائَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ ۚ وَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُمْ أَلْفٌ يَغْلِبُوا أَلْفَيْنِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَəль`əəнə хōффəфəл-лаhу 'əŋŋкум вə'əлимə əннə фиикум дō'фə, фə`ий-йəкумм-миŋŋкум-ми`əтун сōōбирōтуй-йəґлибуу ми`əтəйн, вə`ий-йəкумм-миŋŋкум əльфуй-йəґлибуу əльфəйни би`из̃ниль-лəh, вəл-лаhу мə'əс-сōōбириин
Now Allah has lightened your burden, knowing that there is weakness in you. So if there be a hundred patient men among you, they shall overcome two hundred; and if there be a thousand, they shall overcome two thousand, by Allah’s leave; and Allah is with the patient. -
8:67
مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُ أَسْرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يُثْخِنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ تُرِيدُونَ عَرَضَ الدُّنْيَا وَاللَّهُ يُرِيدُ الْآخِرَةَ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌмəə кəəнə линəбиййин əй-йəкуунə лəhу əсрōō həттəə йуc̃хынə фииль-əрд, туриидуунə 'əрōдōд-дунйəə вəл-лаhу йуриидуль-əəхырōh, вəл-лаhу 'əзиизун həкиим
A prophet may not take captives until he has thoroughly decimated [the enemy] in the land. You desire the transitory gains of this world, while Allah desires [for you] [the reward of] the Hereafter, and Allah is all-mighty, all-wise. -
8:69
فَكُلُوا مِمَّا غَنِمْتُمْ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌфəкулюю миммəə ґōнимтум həлəəлəн тōййибə, вəəттəќуул-лаh, иннəл-лаhə ґōфуурур-рōhиим
Avail yourselves of the spoils you have taken as lawful and good, and be wary of Allah. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful. -
8:70
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُل لِّمَن فِي أَيْدِيكُم مِّنَ الْأَسْرَىٰ إِن يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ خَيْرًا يُؤْتِكُمْ خَيْرًا مِّمَّا أُخِذَ مِنكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌйəə əййуhəəн-нəбиййу ќул-лимəŋŋ-фии əйдиикум-минəль-əсрōō ий-йə'лəмиль-лəhу фии ќулююбикум хōйрōй-йу`тикум хōйрōмм-миммəə ухыз̃ə миŋŋкум вəйəґфир лəкум, вəл-лаhу ґōфуурур-рōhиим
O Prophet! Say to the captives who are in your hands, ‘If Allah finds any good in your hearts, He will give you [something which is] better than what has been taken away from you, and He will forgive you, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.’ -
8:71
وَإِن يُرِيدُوا خِيَانَتَكَ فَقَدْ خَانُوا اللَّهَ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَمْكَنَ مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌвə`ий-йуриидуу хыйəəнəтəкə фəќōд хōōнуул-лаhə миŋŋ-ќōблю фə`əмкəнə минhум, вəл-лаhу 'əлиимун həкиим
But if they seek to betray you, then they have already betrayed Allah earlier, and He gave [you] power over them; and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise. -
8:72
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوا وَّنَصَرُوا أُولَـٰئِكَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يُهَاجِرُوا مَا لَكُم مِّن وَلَايَتِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُوا ۚ وَإِنِ اسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُم مِّيثَاقٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌиннəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вəhəəджəруу вəджəəhəдуу би`əмвəəлиhим вə`əŋŋфусиhим фии сəбиилиль-лəhи вəəльлəз̃иинə əəвəу-вəнəсōруу уулəə`икə бə'дуhум əулийəə`у бə'д, вəəльлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вəлəм йуhəəджируу мəə лəкум-миу-вəлəəйəтиhим-миŋŋ-шэй`ин həттəə йуhəəджируу, вə`ини-стəŋŋсōруукум фиид-диини фə'əлэйкумун-нəсру ильлəə 'əлəə ќōумимм-бэйнəкум вəбэйнəhум-мииc̃əəќ, вəл-лаhу бимəə тə'мəлююнə бəсыыр
Indeed those who have believed and migrated and waged jihad with their possessions and persons in the way of Allah, and those who gave [them] shelter and help—they are heirs of one another. As for those who have believed but did not migrate, you have no heirdom in relation to them whatsoever until they migrate. Yet if they ask your help for the sake of religion, it is incumbent on you to help them, excepting against a people with whom you have a treaty; and Allah watches what you do. -
8:73
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُن فِتْنَةٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌвəəльлəз̃иинə кəфəруу бə'дуhум əулийəə`у бə'д, ильлəə тəф'əлююhу тəкуŋŋ-фитнəтун фииль-əрды вəфəсəəдун кəбиир
As for the faithless, they are heirs of one another. Unless you do the same, there will be strife in the land and great corruption. -
8:74
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوا وَّنَصَرُوا أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا ۚ لَّهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌвəəльлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вəhəəджəруу вəджəəhəдуу фии сəбиилиль-лəhи вəəльлəз̃иинə əəвəу-вəнəсōруу уулəə`икə hумуль-му`минуунə həќќō, лəhум-мəґфирōтуу-вəризќун кəриим
Those who have believed, migrated, and waged jihad in the way of Allah, and those who gave them shelter and help, it is they who are truly the faithful. For them shall be forgiveness and a noble provision. -
8:75
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِن بَعْدُ وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا مَعَكُمْ فَأُولَـٰئِكَ مِنكُمْ ۚ وَأُولُو الْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِبَعْضٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌвəəльлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу мимм-бə'ду вəhəəджəруу вəджəəhəдуу мə'əкум фə`уулəə`икə миŋŋкум, вə`уулююль-əрhəəми бə'дуhум əулəə бибə'дын фии китəəбиль-лəh, иннəл-лаhə бикулли шэй`ин 'əлиим
Those who believed afterwards and migrated, and waged jihad along with you, they belong to you; but the blood relatives are more entitled to inherit from one another in the Book of Allah. Indeed Allah has knowledge of all things. -
9:1
بَرَاءَةٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى الَّذِينَ عَاهَدتُّم مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَбəрōō`əтумм-минəл-лаhи вəрōсуулиhи илəəль-лəз̃иинə 'əəhəттум-минəль-мушрикиин
[This is] a [declaration of] repudiation by Allah and His Apostle [addressed] to the polytheists with whom you had made a treaty: -
9:2
فَسِيحُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْزِي الْكَافِرِينَфəсииhуу фииль-əрды əрбə'əтə əшhуриу-вəə'лəмуу əннəкум ґōйру му'джизиил-лаhи вə`əннəл-лаhə мухзииль-кəəфириин
Travel [unmolested] in the land for four months, but know that you cannot frustrate Allah, and that Allah shall disgrace the faithless. -
9:3
وَأَذَانٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ بَرِيءٌ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ۙ وَرَسُولُهُ ۚ فَإِن تُبْتُمْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍвə`əз̃əəнумм-минəл-лаhи вəрōсуулиhи илəəн-нəəси йəумəль-həджджиль-əкбəри əннəл-лаhə бəрии`умм-минəль-мушрикиинə вəрōсуулюh, фə`иŋŋ-тубтум фəhувə хōйруль-лəкум, вə`иŋŋ-тəвəльлəйтум фəə'лəмуу əннəкум ґōйру му'джизиил-лаh, вəбəшшириль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу би'əз̃əəбин əлиим
[This is] an announcement from Allah and His Apostle to all the people on the day of the greater Hajj: that Allah and His Apostle repudiate the polytheists: If you repent that is better for you; but if you turn your backs [on Allah], know that you cannot frustrate Allah, and inform the faithless of a painful punishment -
9:4
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ عَاهَدتُّم مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنقُصُوكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَمْ يُظَاهِرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدًا فَأَتِمُّوا إِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ إِلَىٰ مُدَّتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَильлəəль-лəз̃иинə 'əəhəттум-минəль-мушрикиинə c̃уммə лəм йəŋŋќусуукум шэй`əу-вəлəм йуз̃ōōhируу 'əлэйкум əhəдəн фə`əтиммуу илəйhим 'əhдəhум илəə муддəтиhим, иннəл-лаhə йуhиббуль-муттəќиин
(barring the polytheists with whom you have made a treaty, and who did not violate any [of its terms] with you, nor backed anyone against you. So fulfill the treaty with them until [the end of] its term. Indeed Allah loves the Godwary). -
9:5
فَإِذَا انسَلَخَ الْأَشْهُرُ الْحُرُمُ فَاقْتُلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَاحْصُرُوهُمْ وَاقْعُدُوا لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ ۚ فَإِن تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌфə`из̃əə-ŋŋсəлəхōль-əшhуруль-hуруму фəəќтулююль-мушрикиинə həйc̃у вəджəттумууhум вəхуз̃ууhум вəəhсурууhум вəəќ'удуу лəhум кульлə мəрсōд, фə`иŋŋ-тəəбуу вə`əќōōмуус-сōлəəтə вə`əəтəвуз-зəкəəтə фəхōллюю сəбиилəhум, иннəл-лаhə ґōфуурур-рōhиим
Then, when the sacred months have passed, kill the polytheists wherever you find them, capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every ambush. But if they repent, and maintain the prayer and give the zakat, then let them alone. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
