9:66
لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا قَدْ كَفَرْتُم بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ ۚ إِن نَّعْفُ عَن طَائِفَةٍ مِّنكُمْ نُعَذِّبْ طَائِفَةً بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَлəə тə'тəз̃ируу ќōд кəфəртумм-бə'дə иимəəникум, ин-нə'фу 'əŋŋ-тōō`ифəтимм-миŋŋкум ну'əз̃з̃иб тōō`ифəтəмм-би`əннəhум кəəнуу муджримиин
Do not make excuses. You have disbelieved after your faith.’ If We forgive a group among you, We will punish another group, for they have been guilty. -
9:67
الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتُ بَعْضُهُم مِّن بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمُنكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ ۚ نَسُوا اللَّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَəльмунəəфиќуунə вəəльмунəəфиќōōту бə'дуhум-мимм-бə'д, йə`муруунə би-ль-муŋŋкəри вəйəнhəунə 'əниль-мə'рууфи вəйəќбидуунə əйдийəhум, нəсуул-лаhə фəнəсийəhум, иннəль-мунəəфиќиинə hумуль-фəəсиќуун
The hypocrites, men and women, are all alike: they bid what is wrong and forbid what is right; and are tight-fisted. They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them. The hypocrites are indeed the transgressors. -
9:68
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْكُفَّارَ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ هِيَ حَسْبُهُمْ ۚ وَلَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌвə'əдəл-лаhуль-мунəəфиќиинə вəəльмунəəфиќōōти вəəлькуффəəрō нəəрō джəhəннəмə хōōлидиинə фииhəə, hийə həсбуhум, вəлə'əнəhумул-лаh, вəлəhум 'əз̃əəбумм-муќиим
Allah has promised the hypocrites, men and women, and the faithless, the Fire of hell, to remain in it [forever]. That suffices them. Allah has cursed them, and there is a lasting punishment for them. -
9:69
كَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنكُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرَ أَمْوَالًا وَأَوْلَادًا فَاسْتَمْتَعُوا بِخَلَاقِهِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِخَلَاقِكُمْ كَمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُم بِخَلَاقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذِي خَاضُوا ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۖ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَкəəльлəз̃иинə миŋŋ-ќōбликум кəəнуу əшəддə миŋŋкум ќуувəтəу-вə`əкc̃əрō əмвəəлəу-вə`əулəəдəн фəəстəмтə'уу бихōлəəќиhим фəəстəмтə'тумм-бихōлəəќикум кəмəə-стəмтə'əль-лəз̃иинə миŋŋ-ќōбликумм-бихōлəəќиhим вəхудтум кəəльлəз̃ии хōōдуу, уулəə`икə həбитōт ə'мəəлюhум фиид-дунйəə вəəль`əəхырōh, вə`уулəə`икə hумуль-хōōсируун
[Hypocrites! Your case is] similar to those who were before you, who were more powerful than you and more abounding in wealth and children: they enjoyed their share [of worldly existence]; you too enjoy your share, just like those who were before you enjoyed their share, and you have gossiped [impiously] as they gossiped. They are the ones whose works have failed in this world and the Hereafter; and it is they who are the losers. -
9:70
أَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَصْحَابِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ ۚ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَəлəм йə`тиhим нəбə`уль-лəз̃иинə миŋŋ-ќōблиhим ќōуми нууhиу-вə'əəдиу-вəc̃əмуудə вəќōуми ибрōōhиимə вə`əсhəəби мəдйəнə вəəльму`тəфикəəт, əтəтhум русулюhумм-би-ль-бэййинəəт, фəмəə кəəнəл-лаhу лийəз̃лимəhум вəлəəкиŋŋ-кəəнуу əŋŋфусəhум йəз̃лимуун
Has there not come to them the account of those who were before them—the people of Noah, ‘Ad, and Tham£d, and the people of Abraham, the inhabitants of Midian, and the towns that were overturned? Their apostles brought them manifest proofs. So it was not Allah who wronged them, but it was they who used to wrong themselves. -
9:71
وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌвəəльму`минуунə вəəльму`минəəту бə'дуhум əулийəə`у бə'д, йə`муруунə би-ль-мə'рууфи вəйəнhəунə 'əниль-муŋŋкəри вəйуќиимуунəс-сōлəəтə вəйу`туунəз-зəкəəтə вəйутыы'уунəл-лаhə вəрōсуулəh, уулəə`икə сəйəрhəмуhумул-лаh, иннəл-лаhə 'əзиизун həкиим
But the faithful, men and women, are comrades of one another: they bid what is right and forbid what is wrong and maintain the prayer, give the zakat, and obey Allah and His Apostle. It is they to whom Allah will soon grant His mercy. Indeed Allah is all-mighty, all-wise. -
9:72
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ ۚ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُвə'əдəл-лаhуль-му`миниинə вəəльму`минəəти джəннəəтин тəджрии миŋŋ-тəhтиhəəль-əнhəəру хōōлидиинə фииhəə вəмəсəəкинə тōййибəтəн фии джəннəəти 'əдн, вəридвəəнумм-минəл-лаhи əкбəр, з̃əəликə hувəль-фəузуль-'əз̃ыым
Allah has promised the faithful, men and women, gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever], and good dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. Yet Allah’s pleasure is greater [than all these]; that is the great success. -
9:73
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ جَاهِدِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ وَاغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُйəə əййуhəəн-нəбиййу джəəhидиль-куффəəрō вəəльмунəəфиќиинə вəəґлюз̃ 'əлэйhим, вəмə`вəəhум джəhəннəм, вəби`сəль-мəсыыр
O Prophet! Wage jihad against the faithless and the hypocrites, and be severe with them. Their refuge shall be hell, and it is an evil destination. -
9:74
يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ مَا قَالُوا وَلَقَدْ قَالُوا كَلِمَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِسْلَامِهِمْ وَهَمُّوا بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُوا ۚ وَمَا نَقَمُوا إِلَّا أَنْ أَغْنَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ ۚ فَإِن يَتُوبُوا يَكُ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَتَوَلَّوْا يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللَّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍйəhлифуунə биль-лəhи мəə ќōōлюю вəлəќōд ќōōлюю кəлимəтəль-куфри вəкəфəруу бə'дə ислəəмиhим вəhəммуу бимəə лəм йəнəəлюу, вəмəə нəќōмуу ильлəə əн əґнəəhумул-лаhу вəрōсуулюhу миŋŋ-фəдлиh, фə`ий-йəтуубуу йəку хōйрōль-лəhум, вə`ий-йəтəвəльлəу йу'əз̃з̃ибhумул-лаhу 'əз̃əəбəн əлиимəн фиид-дунйəə вəəль`əəхырōh, вəмəə лəhум фииль-əрды миу-вəлиййиу-вəлəə нəсыыр
They swear by Allah that they did not say it. But they certainly did utter the word of unfaith and renounced faith after their Islam. They contemplated what they could not achieve, and they were vindictive only because Allah and His Apostle had enriched them out of His grace. Yet if they repent, it will be better for them; but if they turn away, Allah shall punish them with a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they shall not find on the earth any guardian or helper. -
9:75
۞ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ عَاهَدَ اللَّهَ لَئِنْ آتَانَا مِن فَضْلِهِ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَвəминhум-мəн 'əəhəдəл-лаhə лə`ин əəтəəнəə миŋŋ-фəдлиhи лəнəссōддəќōннə вəлəнəкуунəннə минəс-сōōлиhиин
Among them are those who made a pledge with Allah: ‘If He gives us out of His grace, we will surely give the zakat and we will surely be among the righteous.’ -
9:77
فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ نِفَاقًا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يَلْقَوْنَهُ بِمَا أَخْلَفُوا اللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَфə`ə'ќōбəhум нифəəќōн фии ќулююбиhим илəə йəуми йəльќōунəhу бимəə əхлəфуул-лаhə мəə вə'əдууhу вəбимəə кəəнуу йəкз̃ибуун
So He caused hypocrisy to ensue in their hearts until the day they will encounter Him, because of their going back on what they had promised Allah and because of the lies they used to tell. -
9:78
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَاهُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِəлəм йə'лəмуу əннəл-лаhə йə'лəму сиррōhум вəнəджвəəhум вə`əннəл-лаhə 'əльлəəмуль-ґуйууб
Do they not know that Allah knows their secret [thoughts] and [hears] their secret talks, and that Allah is knower of all that is Unseen? -
9:79
الَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ الْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ إِلَّا جُهْدَهُمْ فَيَسْخَرُونَ مِنْهُمْ ۙ سَخِرَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌəльлəз̃иинə йəльмизуунəль-муттōуви'иинə минəль-му`миниинə фиис-сōдəќōōти вəəльлəз̃иинə лəə йəджидуунə ильлəə джуhдəhум фəйəсхōруунə минhум сəхырōл-лаhу минhум вəлəhум 'əз̃əəбун əлиим
Those who blame the voluntary donors from among the faithful concerning the charities—and as for those who do not find [anything] except [what] their means [permit], they ridicule them—Allah shall put them to ridicule, and there is a painful punishment for them. -
9:80
اسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِن تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً فَلَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَистəґфир лəhум əу лəə тəстəґфир лəhум иŋŋ-тəстəґфир лəhум сəб'иинə мəррōтəн фəлэй-йəґфирōл-лаhу лəhум, з̃əəликə би`əннəhум кəфəруу биль-лəhи вəрōсуулиh, вəл-лаhу лəə йəhдииль-ќōумəль-фəəсиќиин
Whether you plead forgiveness for them or do not plead forgiveness for them, even if you plead forgiveness for them seventy times, Allah shall never forgive them because they defied Allah and His Apostle; and Allah does not guide the transgressing lot. -
9:81
فَرِحَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقْعَدِهِمْ خِلَافَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَكَرِهُوا أَن يُجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَقَالُوا لَا تَنفِرُوا فِي الْحَرِّ ۗ قُلْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرًّا ۚ لَّوْ كَانُوا يَفْقَهُونَфəриhəль-мухōльлəфуунə бимəќ'əдиhим хылəəфə рōсуулиль-лəhи вəкəриhуу əй-йуджəəhидуу би`əмвəəлиhим вə`əŋŋфусиhим фии сəбиилиль-лəhи вəќōōлюю лəə тəŋŋфируу фииль-həрр, ќуль нəəру джəhəннəмə əшəдду həррō, лəу кəəнуу йəфќōhуун
Those who were left behind boasted for sitting back against [the command of] the Apostle of Allah, and were reluctant to wage jihad with their possessions and persons in the way of Allah, and they said, ‘Do not go forth in this heat.’ Say, The fire of hell is severer in heat, should they understand. -
9:83
فَإِن رَّجَعَكَ اللَّهُ إِلَىٰ طَائِفَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسْتَأْذَنُوكَ لِلْخُرُوجِ فَقُل لَّن تَخْرُجُوا مَعِيَ أَبَدًا وَلَن تُقَاتِلُوا مَعِيَ عَدُوًّا ۖ إِنَّكُمْ رَضِيتُم بِالْقُعُودِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَاقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْخَالِفِينَфə`ир-рōджə'əкəл-лаhу илəə тōō`ифəтимм-минhум фəəстə`з̃əнуукə ли-ль-хурууджи фəќуль-лəŋŋ-тəхруджуу мə'ийə əбəдəу-вəлəŋŋ-туќōōтилюю мə'ийə 'əдуувə, иннəкум рōдыытумм-би-ль-ќу'ууди əувəлə мəррōтин фəəќ'удуу мə'əль-хōōлифиин
If Allah brings you back [from the battlefront] to a group of them and they seek your permission to go forth, say, ‘You shall never go forth with me, and you shall not fight with me against any enemy. You were indeed pleased to sit back the first time, so sit back with those who stay behind.’ -
9:84
وَلَا تُصَلِّ عَلَىٰ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُم مَّاتَ أَبَدًا وَلَا تَقُمْ عَلَىٰ قَبْرِهِ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ فَاسِقُونَвəлəə тусōлли 'əлəə əhəдимм-минhум-мəəтə əбəдəу-вəлəə тəќум 'əлəə ќōбриh, иннəhум кəфəруу биль-лəhи вəрōсуулиhи вəмəəтуу вəhум фəəсиќуун
And never pray over any of them when he dies, nor stand at his graveside. They indeed defied Allah and His Apostle and died as transgressors. -
9:85
وَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَأَوْلَادُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَвəлəə ту'джибкə əмвəəлюhум вə`əулəəдуhум, иннəмəə йуриидул-лаhу əй-йу'əз̃з̃ибəhумм-биhəə фиид-дунйəə вəтəзhəќō əŋŋфусуhум вəhум кəəфируун
Let not their possessions or their children impress you. Allah only desires to punish them with these in this world, and that their souls may depart while they are faithless.
