42:13
۞ شَرَعَ لَكُم مِّنَ الدِّينِ مَا وَصَّىٰ بِهِ نُوحًا وَالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ وَمَا وَصَّيْنَا بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ ۖ أَنْ أَقِيمُوا الدِّينَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوا فِيهِ ۚ كَبُرَ عَلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ مَا تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَيْهِ ۚ اللَّهُ يَجْتَبِي إِلَيْهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي إِلَيْهِ مَن يُنِيبُшəрō'ə лəкум-минəд-диини мəə вəссōō биhи нууhəу-вəəльлəз̃ии əуhəйнəə илəйкə вəмəə вəссōйнəə биhи ибрōōhиимə вəмуусəə вə'иисəə, əн əќиимууд-диинə вəлəə тəтəфəррōќуу фииh, кəбурō 'əлəəль-мушрикиинə мəə тəд'ууhум илəйh, аллаhу йəджтəбии илəйhи мəй-йəшəə`у вəйəhдии илəйhи мəй-йунииб
He has prescribed for you the religion which He had enjoined upon Noah and which We have [also] revealed to you, and which We had enjoined upon Abraham, Moses and Jesus, declaring, ‘Maintain the religion, and do not be divided in it.’ Hard on the polytheists is that to which you summon them. Allah chooses for it whomever He wishes, and He guides to it whomever returns penitently [to Him]. -
42:14
وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوا إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى لَّقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُورِثُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍвəмəə тəфəррōќуу ильлəə мимм-бə'ди мəə джəə`əhумуль-'ильму бəґйəмм-бэйнəhум, вəлəулəə кəлимəтун сəбəќōт мир-рōббикə илəə əджəлимм-мусəммəль-лəќудыйə бэйнəhум, вə`иннəль-лəз̃иинə ууриc̃ууль-китəəбə мимм-бə'диhим лəфии шəккимм-минhу мурииб
They did not divide [into sects] except after the knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves; and were it not for a prior decree of your Lord [granting them reprieve] until a specified time, decision would have been made between them. Indeed those who were made heirs to the Book after them are in grave doubt concerning it. -
42:15
فَلِذَٰلِكَ فَادْعُ ۖ وَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۖ وَقُلْ آمَنتُ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ مِن كِتَابٍ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَعْدِلَ بَيْنَكُمُ ۖ اللَّهُ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْ ۖ لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ ۖ لَا حُجَّةَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ ۖ اللَّهُ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُфəлиз̃əəликə фəəд', вəəстəќим кəмəə умирт, вəлəə тəттəби' əhвəə`əhум, вəќуль əəмəŋŋту бимəə əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу миŋŋ-китəəб, вə`умирту ли`ə'дилə бэйнəкум, аллаhу рōббунəə вəрōббукум, лəнəə ə'мəəлюнəə вəлəкум ə'мəəлюкум, лəə hуджджəтə бэйнəнəə вəбэйнəкум, аллаhу йəджмə'у бэйнəнəə, вə`илəйhиль-мəсыыр
So summon to this [unity of religion], and be steadfast, just as you have been commanded, and do not follow their desires, and say, ‘I believe in whatever Book Allah has sent down. I have been commanded to do justice among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. Our deeds belong to us and your deeds belong to you. There is no quarrel between us and you. Allah will bring us together and toward Him is the destination.’ -
42:16
وَالَّذِينَ يُحَاجُّونَ فِي اللَّهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ حُجَّتُهُمْ دَاحِضَةٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌвəəльлəз̃иинə йуhəəджджуунə фиил-лаhи мимм-бə'ди мəə-студжиибə лəhу hуджджəтуhум дəəhидōтун 'иŋŋдə рōббиhим вə'əлэйhим ґōдōбуу-вəлəhум 'əз̃əəбун шəдиид
Those who argue concerning Allah, after His call has been answered, their argument stands refuted with their Lord, and upon them shall be [His] wrath, and there is a severe punishment for them. -
42:17
اللَّهُ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ وَالْمِيزَانَ ۗ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ قَرِيبٌаллаhуль-лəз̃ии əŋŋзəлəль-китəəбə би-ль-həќќи вəəльмиизəəн, вəмəə йудриикə лə'əльлəс-сəə'əтə ќōрииб
It is Allah who has sent down the Book with the truth and [He has sent down] the Balance. What do you know—maybe the Hour is near! -
42:18
يَسْتَعْجِلُ بِهَا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهَا ۖ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مُشْفِقُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهَا الْحَقُّ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُمَارُونَ فِي السَّاعَةِ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍйəстə'джилю биhəəль-лəз̃иинə лəə йу`минуунə биhəə, вəəльлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу мушфиќуунə минhəə вəйə'лəмуунə əннəhəəль-həќќ, əлəə иннəль-лəз̃иинə йумəəруунə фиис-сəə'əти лəфии дōлəəлимм-бə'иид
Those who do not believe in it ask [you] to hasten it, but those who have faith are apprehensive of it, and know that it is true. Indeed those who are in doubt about the Hour are in extreme error! -
42:20
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الْآخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُ فِي حَرْثِهِ ۖ وَمَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِن نَّصِيبٍмəŋŋ-кəəнə йурииду həрc̃əль-əəхырōти нəзид лəhу фии həрc̃иh, вəмəŋŋ-кəəнə йурииду həрc̃əд-дунйəə ну`тиhи минhəə вəмəə лəhу фииль-əəхырōти мин-нəсыыб
Whoever desires the tillage of the Hereafter, We will enhance for him his tillage, and whoever desires the tillage of the world, We will give it to him, but he will have no share in the Hereafter. -
42:21
أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ شَرَعُوا لَهُم مِّنَ الدِّينِ مَا لَمْ يَأْذَن بِهِ اللَّهُ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ الْفَصْلِ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌəм лəhум шурōкəə`у шəрō'уу лəhум-минəд-диини мəə лəм йə`з̃əмм-биhиль-лəh, вəлəулəə кəлимəтуль-фəсли лəќудыйə бэйнəhум, вə`иннəз̃-з̃ōōлимиинə лəhум 'əз̃əəбун əлиим
Do they have deities [besides Allah] who have ordained for them a religion not permitted by Allah? Were it not for a [prior] conclusive word, judgement would have been made between them, and indeed a painful punishment awaits the wrongdoers. -
42:22
تَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا وَهُوَ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فِي رَوْضَاتِ الْجَنَّاتِ ۖ لَهُم مَّا يَشَاءُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيرُтəрōōз̃-з̃ōōлимиинə мушфиќиинə миммəə кəсəбуу вəhувə вəəќи'умм-биhим, вəəльлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əмилююс-сōōлиhəəти фии рōудōōтиль-джəннəəт, лəhум-мəə йəшəə`уунə 'иŋŋдə рōббиhим, з̃əəликə hувəль-фəдлюль-кəбиир
When it is about to befall them, You will see the wrongdoers fearful because of what they have earned; but those who have faith and do righteous deeds will be in the gardens of paradise: they will have whatever they wish near their Lord. That is the mighty grace. -
42:23
ذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يُبَشِّرُ اللَّهُ عِبَادَهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ۗ قُل لَّا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَىٰ ۗ وَمَن يَقْتَرِفْ حَسَنَةً نَّزِدْ لَهُ فِيهَا حُسْنًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌз̃əəликəль-лəз̃ии йубəшширул-лаhу 'ибəəдəhуль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əмилююс-сōōлиhəəт, ќуль-лəə əс`əлюкум 'əлэйhи əджрōн ильлəəль-мəвəддəтə фииль-ќурбəə, вəмəй-йəќтəриф həсəнəтəн-ннəзид лəhу фииhəə hуснə, иннəл-лаhə ґōфуурун шəкуур
Such is the good news that Allah gives to His servants who have faith and do righteous deeds! Say, ‘I do not ask you any reward for it except the love of [my] relatives.’ Whoever performs a good deed, We shall enhance its goodness for him. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-appreciative. -
42:24
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا ۖ فَإِن يَشَإِ اللَّهُ يَخْتِمْ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ ۗ وَيَمْحُ اللَّهُ الْبَاطِلَ وَيُحِقُّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِəм йəќуулююнə-фтəрōō 'əлəл-лаhи кəз̃ибə, фə`ий-йəшə`иль-лəhу йəхтим 'əлəə ќōльбик, вəйəмhул-лаhуль-бəəтылə вəйуhиќќуль-həќќō бикəлимəəтиh, иннəhу 'əлиимумм-биз̃əəтис-судуур
Do they say, ‘He has fabricated a lie against Allah’? If so, should Allah wish He would set a seal on your heart, and Allah will efface the falsehood and confirm the truth with His words. Indeed He knows well what is in the breasts. -
42:25
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَعْفُو عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَفْعَلُونَвəhувəль-лəз̃ии йəќбəлют-тəубəтə 'əн 'ибəəдиhи вəйə'фуу 'əнис-сəййи`əəти вəйə'лəму мəə тəф'əлююн
It is He who accepts the repentance of His servants, and excuses their misdeeds and knows what you do. -
42:26
وَيَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ ۚ وَالْكَافِرُونَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌвəйəстəджиибуль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əмилююс-сōōлиhəəти вəйəзиидуhум-миŋŋ-фəдлиh, вəəлькəəфируунə лəhум 'əз̃əəбун шəдиид
He answers [the supplications of] those who have faith and do righteous deeds and enhances them out of His grace. But as for the faithless, there is a severe punishment for them. -
42:27
۞ وَلَوْ بَسَطَ اللَّهُ الرِّزْقَ لِعِبَادِهِ لَبَغَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَـٰكِن يُنَزِّلُ بِقَدَرٍ مَّا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرٌ بَصِيرٌвəлəу бəсəтōл-лаhур-ризќō ли'ибəəдиhи лəбəґōу фииль-əрды вəлəəкий-йунəззилю биќōдəримм-мəə йəшəə, иннəhу би'ибəəдиhи хōбиирумм-бəсыыр
Were Allah to expand the provision for [all] His servants, they would surely create havoc on the earth. But He sends down in a [precise] measure whatever He wishes. Indeed, He is all-aware, all-seeing about His servants. -
42:28
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا قَنَطُوا وَيَنشُرُ رَحْمَتَهُ ۚ وَهُوَ الْوَلِيُّ الْحَمِيدُвəhувəль-лəз̃ии йунəззилюль-ґōйc̃ə мимм-бə'ди мəə ќōнəтуу вəйəŋŋшуру рōhмəтəh, вəhувəль-вəлиййуль-həмиид
It is He who sends down the rain after they have been despondent, and unfolds His mercy, and He is the Guardian, the All-laudable. -
42:29
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَثَّ فِيهِمَا مِن دَابَّةٍ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ جَمْعِهِمْ إِذَا يَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌвəмин əəйəəтиhи хōльќус-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрды вəмəə бəc̃c̃ə фииhимəə миŋŋ-дəəббəh, вəhувə 'əлəə джəм'иhим из̃əə йəшəə`у ќōдиир
Among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and whatever creatures He has scattered in them, and He is able to gather them whenever He wishes. -
42:30
وَمَا أَصَابَكُم مِّن مُّصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَن كَثِيرٍвəмəə əсōōбəкум-мимм-мусыыбəтин фəбимəə кəсəбəт əйдиикум вəйə'фуу 'əŋŋ-кəc̃иир
Whatever affliction that may visit you is because of what your hands have earned, and He excuses many [an offense of yours]. -
42:31
وَمَا أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍвəмəə əŋŋтумм-биму'джизиинə фииль-əрд, вəмəə лəкум-миŋŋ-дууниль-лəhи миу-вəлиййиу-вəлəə нəсыыр
You cannot frustrate [Allah] on the earth, and you do not have besides Allah any guardian or helper.
