3:193
رَّبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي لِلْإِيمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا ۚ رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِрōббəнəə иннəнəə сəми'нəə мунəəдийəй-йунəəдии ли-ль-иимəəни əн əəминуу бирōббикум фə`əəмəннəə, рōббəнəə фəəґфир лəнəə з̃унуубəнəə вəкəффир 'əннəə сəййи`əəтинəə вəтəвəффəнəə мə'əль-əбрōōр
Our Lord, we have indeed heard a summoner calling to faith, declaring, ‘‘Have faith in your Lord!’’ So we believed. Our Lord, forgive us our sins and absolve us of our misdeeds, and make us die with the pious. -
3:194
رَبَّنَا وَآتِنَا مَا وَعَدتَّنَا عَلَىٰ رُسُلِكَ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَрōббəнəə вə`əəтинəə мəə вə'əттəнəə 'əлəə русуликə вəлəə тухзинəə йəумəль-ќийəəмəh, иннəкə лəə тухлифуль-мии'əəд
Our Lord, give us what You have promised us through Your apostles, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed You do not break Your promise.’ -
3:195
فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّي لَا أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِّنكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ ۖ بَعْضُكُم مِّن بَعْضٍ ۖ فَالَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا وَأُخْرِجُوا مِن دِيَارِهِمْ وَأُوذُوا فِي سَبِيلِي وَقَاتَلُوا وَقُتِلُوا لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ثَوَابًا مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عِندَهُ حُسْنُ الثَّوَابِфəəстəджəəбə лəhум рōббуhум əннии лəə удыы'у 'əмəлə 'əəмилимм-миŋŋкум-миŋŋ-з̃əкəрин əу уŋŋc̃əə, бə'дукум-мимм-бə'д, фəəльлəз̃иинə həəджəруу вə`ухриджуу миŋŋ-дийəəриhим вə`ууз̃уу фии сəбиилии вəќōōтəлюю вəќутилюю лə`укəффирōннə 'əнhум сəййи`əəтиhим вəлə`удхылəннəhум джəннəəтин тəджрии миŋŋ-тəhтиhəəль-əнhəəру c̃əвəəбəмм-мин 'иŋŋдиль-лəh, вəл-лаhу 'иŋŋдəhу hуснуc̃-c̃əвəəб
Then their Lord answered them, ‘I do not waste the work of any worker among you, whether male or female; you are all on the same footing. So those who migrated and were expelled from their homes, and were tormented in My way, and those who fought and were killed—I will surely absolve them of their misdeeds and I will admit them into gardens with streams running in them, as a reward from Allah, and Allah—with Him is the best of rewards.’ -
3:198
لَـٰكِنِ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا نُزُلًا مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَا عِندَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لِّلْأَبْرَارِлəəкиниль-лəз̃иинə-ттəќōу рōббəhум лəhум джəннəəтун тəджрии миŋŋ-тəhтиhəəль-əнhəəру хōōлидиинə фииhəə нузулəмм-мин 'иŋŋдиль-лəh, вəмəə 'иŋŋдəл-лаhи хōйрул-ли-ль-əбрōōр
But those who are wary of their Lord—for them shall be gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever], a hospitality from Allah; and what is with Allah is better for the pious. -
3:199
وَإِنَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَمَن يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ خَاشِعِينَ لِلَّهِ لَا يَشْتَرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا ۗ أُولَـٰئِكَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِвə`иннə мин əhлиль-китəəби лəмəй-йу`мину биль-лəhи вəмəə уŋŋзилə илəйкум вəмəə уŋŋзилə илəйhим хōōши'иинə лильлəhи лəə йəштəруунə би`əəйəəтиль-лəhи c̃əмəнəн ќōлиилə, уулəə`икə лəhум əджруhум 'иŋŋдə рōббиhим, иннəл-лаhə сəрии'уль-hисəəб
Indeed among the People of the Book there are some who have faith in Allah and in what has been sent down to you, and in what has been sent down to them. Humble toward Allah, they do not sell the signs of Allah for a paltry gain. They shall have their reward near their Lord; indeed Allah is swift at reckoning. -
3:200
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اصْبِرُوا وَصَابِرُوا وَرَابِطُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу-сбируу вəсōōбируу вəрōōбитуу вəəттəќуул-лаhə лə'əльлəкум туфлиhуун
O you who have faith! Be patient, stand firm, and close [your] ranks, and be wary of Allah so that you may be felicitous. -
4:1
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًاйəə əййуhəəн-нəəсу-ттəќуу рōббəкумуль-лəз̃ии хōлəќōкум-мин-нəфсиу-вəəhидəтиу-вəхōлəќō минhəə зəуджəhəə вəбəc̃c̃ə минhумəə риджəəлəн кəc̃иирōу-вəнисəə`əу-вəəттəќуул-лаhəль-лəз̃ии тəсəə`əлююнə биhи вəəль`əрhəəмə иннəл-лаhə кəəнə 'əлэйкум рōќиибə
O mankind! Be wary of your Lord who created you from a single soul, and created its mate from it, and from the two of them scattered numerous men and women. Be wary of Allah, in whose Name you adjure one another and [of severing ties with] blood relations. Indeed Allah is watchful over you. -
4:2
وَآتُوا الْيَتَامَىٰ أَمْوَالَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُوا الْخَبِيثَ بِالطَّيِّبِ ۖ وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَىٰ أَمْوَالِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حُوبًا كَبِيرًاвə`əəтууль-йəтəəмəə əмвəəлəhум, вəлəə тəтəбəддəлююль-хōбииc̃ə бит-тōййиб, вəлəə тə`кулюю əмвəəлəhум илəə əмвəəликум, иннəhу кəəнə hуубəн кəбиирō
Give the orphans their property, and do not replace the good with the bad, and do not eat up their property [by mingling it] with your own property, for that is indeed a great sin. -
4:3
وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُوا فِي الْيَتَامَىٰ فَانكِحُوا مَا طَابَ لَكُم مِّنَ النِّسَاءِ مَثْنَىٰ وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ ۖ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا فَوَاحِدَةً أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَلَّا تَعُولُواвə`ин хыфтум əльлəə туќситуу фииль-йəтəəмəə фəəŋŋкиhуу мəə тōōбə лəкум-минəн-нисəə`и мəc̃нəə вəc̃улəəc̃ə вəрубəə', фə`ин хыфтум əльлəə тə'дилюю фəвəəhидəтəн əу мəə мəлəкəт əймəəнукум, з̃əəликə əднəə əльлəə тə'уулюу
If you fear that you may not deal justly with the orphans, then marry [other] women that you like, two, three, or four. But if you fear that you may not treat them fairly, then [marry only] one, or [marry from among] your slave-women. That makes it likelier that you will not be unfair. -
4:4
وَآتُوا النِّسَاءَ صَدُقَاتِهِنَّ نِحْلَةً ۚ فَإِن طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَن شَيْءٍ مِّنْهُ نَفْسًا فَكُلُوهُ هَنِيئًا مَّرِيئًاвə`əəтуун-нисəə`ə сōдуќōōтиhиннə ниhлəh, фə`иŋŋ-тыбнə лəкум 'əŋŋ-шэй`имм-минhу нəфсəн фəкулююhу həнии`əмм-мəрии`ə
Give women their dowries, handing it over to them; but if they remit anything of it of their own accord, then consume it as [something] lawful and wholesome. -
4:5
وَلَا تُؤْتُوا السُّفَهَاءَ أَمْوَالَكُمُ الَّتِي جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ قِيَامًا وَارْزُقُوهُمْ فِيهَا وَاكْسُوهُمْ وَقُولُوا لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًاвəлəə ту`туус-суфəhəə`ə əмвəəлəкумуль-лəтии джə'əлəл-лаhу лəкум ќийəəмəу-вəəрзуќууhум фииhəə вəəксууhум вəќуулюю лəhум ќōулəмм-мə'рууфə
Do not give the feeble-minded your property, which Allah has assigned you to manage: provide for them out of it and clothe them, and speak to them honourable words. -
4:6
وَابْتَلُوا الْيَتَامَىٰ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا بَلَغُوا النِّكَاحَ فَإِنْ آنَسْتُم مِّنْهُمْ رُشْدًا فَادْفَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَأْكُلُوهَا إِسْرَافًا وَبِدَارًا أَن يَكْبَرُوا ۚ وَمَن كَانَ غَنِيًّا فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ ۖ وَمَن كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ فَإِذَا دَفَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فَأَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ حَسِيبًاвəəбтəлююль-йəтəəмəə həттəə из̃əə бəлəґуун-никəəhə фə`ин əəнəстум-минhум рушдəн фəəдфə'уу илəйhим əмвəəлəhум, вəлəə тə`кулююhəə исрōōфəу-вəбидəəрōн əй-йəкбəруу, вəмəŋŋ-кəəнə ґōниййəн фəльйəстə'фиф, вəмəŋŋ-кəəнə фəќиирōн фəльйə`куль би-ль-мə'рууф, фə`из̃əə дəфə'тум илəйhим əмвəəлəhум фə`əшhидуу 'əлэйhим, вəкəфəə биль-лəhи həсиибə
Test the orphans when they reach the age of marriage. Then if you discern in them maturity, deliver to them their property. And do not consume it lavishly and hastily lest they should grow up. As for him who is well-off, let him be abstemious, and as for him who is poor, let him eat in an honourable manner. And when you deliver to them their property, take witnesses over them, and Allah suffices as reckoner. -
4:7
لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُونَ وَلِلنِّسَاءِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُونَ مِمَّا قَلَّ مِنْهُ أَوْ كَثُرَ ۚ نَصِيبًا مَّفْرُوضًاлир-риджəəли нəсыыбумм-миммəə тəрōкəль-вəəлидəəни вəəль`əќрōбуунə вəлин-нисəə`и нəсыыбумм-миммəə тəрōкəль-вəəлидəəни вəəль`əќрōбуунə миммəə ќōльлə минhу əу кəc̃ур, нəсыыбəмм-мəфруудō
Men have a share in the heritage left by parents and near relatives, and women have a share in the heritage left by parents and near relatives, whether it be little or much, a share ordained [by Allah]. -
4:8
وَإِذَا حَضَرَ الْقِسْمَةَ أُولُو الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينُ فَارْزُقُوهُم مِّنْهُ وَقُولُوا لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًاвə`из̃əə həдōрōль-ќисмəтə уулююль-ќурбəə вəəльйəтəəмəə вəəльмəсəəкиину фəəрзуќууhум-минhу вəќуулюю лəhум ќōулəмм-мə'рууфə
And when the division is attended by relatives, the orphans and the needy, provide for them out of it, and speak to them honourable words. -
4:9
وَلْيَخْشَ الَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَافًا خَافُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلْيَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًاвəльйəхшəль-лəз̃иинə лəу тəрōкуу мин хōльфиhим з̃урриййəтəн ды'əəфəн хōōфуу 'əлэйhим фəльйəттəќуул-лаhə вəльйəќуулюю ќōулəн сəдиидə
Let those fear [the result of mistreating orphans] who, were they to leave behind weak offspring, would be concerned on their account. So let them be wary of Allah, and let them speak upright words. -
4:10
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ الْيَتَامَىٰ ظُلْمًا إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِي بُطُونِهِمْ نَارًا ۖ وَسَيَصْلَوْنَ سَعِيرًاиннəль-лəз̃иинə йə`кулююнə əмвəəлəль-йəтəəмəə з̃ульмəн иннəмəə йə`кулююнə фии бутууниhим нəəрō, вəсəйəслəунə сə'иирō
Indeed those who consume the property of orphans wrongfully, only ingest fire into their bellies, and soon they will enter the Blaze. -
4:11
يُوصِيكُمُ اللَّهُ فِي أَوْلَادِكُمْ ۖ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۚ فَإِن كُنَّ نِسَاءً فَوْقَ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ ۖ وَإِن كَانَتْ وَاحِدَةً فَلَهَا النِّصْفُ ۚ وَلِأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِن كَانَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ ۚ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُ وَلَدٌ وَوَرِثَهُ أَبَوَاهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ الثُّلُثُ ۚ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُ إِخْوَةٌ فَلِأُمِّهِ السُّدُسُ ۚ مِن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِي بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ ۗ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعًا ۚ فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ اللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًاйуусыыкумул-лаhу фии əулəəдикум, лиз̃-з̃əкəри миc̃лю həз̃з̃ыль-уŋŋc̃əйəйн, фə`иŋŋ-куннə нисəə`əн фəуќō-c̃нəтəйни фəлəhуннə c̃улюc̃əə мəə тəрōк, вə`иŋŋ-кəəнəт вəəhидəтəн фəлəhəəн-нисф, вəли`əбəвəйhи ликулли вəəhидимм-минhумəəс-судусу миммəə тəрōкə иŋŋ-кəəнə лəhу вəлəд, фə`иль-лəм йəкуль-лəhу вəлəдуу-вəвəриc̃əhу əбəвəəhу фəли`уммиhиc̃-c̃улюc̃, фə`иŋŋ-кəəнə лəhу ихвəтун фəли`уммиhис-судус, мимм-бə'ди вəсыййəтий-йуусыы биhəə əу дəйн, əəбəə`укум вə`əбнəə`укум лəə тəдруунə əййуhум əќрōбу лəкум нəф'ə, фəриидōтəмм-минəл-лаh, иннəл-лаhə кəəнə 'əлиимəн həкиимə
Allah enjoins you concerning your children: for the male shall be the like of the share of two females, and if there be [two or] more than two females, then for them shall be two-thirds of what he leaves; but if she be alone, then for her shall be a half; and for each of his parents a sixth of what he leaves, if he has children; but if he has no children, and his parents are his [sole] heirs, then it shall be a third for his mother; but if he has brothers, then a sixth for his mother, after [paying off] any bequest he may have made or any debt [he may have incurred]. Your parents and your children—you do not know which of them is likelier to be beneficial for you. This is an ordinance from Allah. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise. -
4:12
۞ وَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَاجُكُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُنَّ وَلَدٌ ۚ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَلَكُمُ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ ۚ مِن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِينَ بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ ۚ وَلَهُنَّ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّكُمْ وَلَدٌ ۚ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ الثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُم ۚ مِّن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ تُوصُونَ بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ ۗ وَإِن كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُورَثُ كَلَالَةً أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ وَلَهُ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ ۚ فَإِن كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ فِي الثُّلُثِ ۚ مِن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصَىٰ بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ غَيْرَ مُضَارٍّ ۚ وَصِيَّةً مِّنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌвəлəкум нисфу мəə тəрōкə əзвəəджукум иль-лəм йəкуль-лəhуннə вəлəд, фə`иŋŋ-кəəнə лəhуннə вəлəдун фəлəкумур-рубу'у миммəə тəрōкн, мимм-бə'ди вəсыййəтий-йуусыынə биhəə əу дəйн, вəлəhуннəр-рубу'у миммəə тəрōктум иль-лəм йəкуль-лəкум вəлəд, фə`иŋŋ-кəəнə лəкум вəлəдун фəлəhуннəc̃-c̃умуну миммəə тəрōктум, мимм-бə'ди вəсыййəтин туусуунə биhəə əу дəйн, вə`иŋŋ-кəəнə рōджулюй-йуурōc̃у кəлəəлəтəн əви-мрō`əтуу-вəлəhу əхун əу ухтун фəликулли вəəhидимм-минhумəəс-судус, фə`иŋŋ-кəəнуу əкc̃əрō миŋŋ-з̃əəликə фəhум шурōкəə`у фииc̃-c̃улюc̃, мимм-бə'ди вəсыййəтий-йуусōō биhəə əу дəйнин ґōйрō мудōōрр, вəсыййəтəмм-минəл-лаh, вəл-лаhу 'əлиимун həлиим
For you shall be a half of what your wives leave, if they have no children; but if they have children, then for you shall be a fourth of what they leave, after [paying off] any bequest they may have made or any debt [they may have incurred]. And for them [it shall be] a fourth of what you leave, if you have no children; but if you have children, then for them shall be an eighth of what you leave, after [paying off] any bequest you may have made or any debt [you may have incurred]. If a man or woman is inherited by siblings and has a brother or a sister, then each of them shall receive a sixth; but if they are more than that, then they shall share in one third, after [paying off] any bequest he may have made or any debt [he may have incurred] without prejudice. [This is] an enjoinment from Allah, and Allah is all-knowing, all-forbearing.
