3:113
۞ لَيْسُوا سَوَاءً ۗ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أُمَّةٌ قَائِمَةٌ يَتْلُونَ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَлэйсуу сəвəə`ə, мин əhлиль-китəəби уммəтун ќōō`имəтуй-йəтлююнə əəйəəтиль-лəhи əəнəə`əль-лэйли вəhум йəсджудуун
Yet they are not all alike. Among the People of the Book is an upright nation; they recite Allah’s signs in the watches of the night and prostrate. -
3:114
يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَيُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَйу`минуунə биль-лəhи вəəльйəумиль-əəхыри вəйə`муруунə би-ль-мə'рууфи вəйəнhəунə 'əниль-муŋŋкəри вəйусəəри'уунə фииль-хōйрōōти вə`уулəə`икə минəс-сōōлиhиин
They have faith in Allah and the Last Day, and bid what is right and forbid what is wrong, and they are active in [performing] good deeds. Those are among the righteous. -
3:116
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَن تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا ۖ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۚ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَиннəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу лəŋŋ-туґнийə 'əнhум əмвəəлюhум вəлəə əулəəдуhум-минəл-лаhи шэй`ə, вə`уулəə`икə əсhəəбун-нəəр, hум фииhəə хōōлидуун
As for the faithless, neither their wealth nor their children will avail them anything against Allah. They shall be the inmates of the Fire and remain in it [forever]. -
3:117
مَثَلُ مَا يُنفِقُونَ فِي هَـٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ رِيحٍ فِيهَا صِرٌّ أَصَابَتْ حَرْثَ قَوْمٍ ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ فَأَهْلَكَتْهُ ۚ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَلَـٰكِنْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَмəc̃əлю мəə йуŋŋфиќуунə фии həəз̃иhиль-həйəəтид-дунйəə кəмəc̃əли рииhин фииhəə сыррун əсōōбəт həрc̃ə ќōумин з̃ōлəмуу əŋŋфусəhум фə`əhлəкəтh, вəмəə з̃ōлəмəhумул-лаhу вəлəəкин əŋŋфусəhум йəз̃лимуун
The parable of what they spend in the life of this world is that of a cold wind that strikes the tillage of a people who wronged themselves, destroying it. Allah does not wrong them, but they wrong themselves. -
3:118
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا بِطَانَةً مِّن دُونِكُمْ لَا يَأْلُونَكُمْ خَبَالًا وَدُّوا مَا عَنِتُّمْ قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ ۚ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу лəə тəттəхыз̃уу битōōнəтəмм-миŋŋ-дууникум лəə йə`лююнəкум хōбəəлəу-вəддуу мəə 'əниттум ќōд бəдəтиль-бəґдōō`у мин əфвəəhиhим вəмəə тухфии судууруhум əкбəр, ќōд бэййəннəə лəкумуль-əəйəəт, иŋŋ-куŋŋтум тə'ќилююн
O you who have faith! Do not take your confidants from others than yourselves; they will spare nothing to ruin you. They are eager to see you in distress. Hatred has already shown itself from their mouths, and what their breasts hide [within] is yet worse. We have certainly made the signs clear for you, should you exercise your reason. -
3:119
هَا أَنتُمْ أُولَاءِ تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْكِتَابِ كُلِّهِ وَإِذَا لَقُوكُمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا عَضُّوا عَلَيْكُمُ الْأَنَامِلَ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۚ قُلْ مُوتُوا بِغَيْظِكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِhəə əŋŋтум уулəə`и туhиббуунəhум вəлəə йуhиббуунəкум вəту`минуунə би-ль-китəəби куллиhи вə`из̃əə лəќуукум ќōōлюю əəмəннəə вə`из̃əə хōлəу 'əддуу 'əлэйкумуль-əнəəмилə минəль-ґōйз̃, ќуль муутуу биґōйз̃ыкум, иннəл-лаhə 'əлиимумм-биз̃əəтис-судуур
Ah! You are the ones who bear love towards them, while they do not love you, though you believe in all the Books. When they meet you, they say, ‘We believe,’ but when they are alone, they bite their fingertips at you out of rage. Say, ‘Die of your rage!’ Indeed Allah knows well what is in the breasts. -
3:120
إِن تَمْسَسْكُمْ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ وَإِن تُصِبْكُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَفْرَحُوا بِهَا ۖ وَإِن تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌиŋŋ-тəмсəскум həсəнəтун тəсу`hум вə`иŋŋ-тусыбкум сəййи`əтуй-йəфрōhуу биhəə, вə`иŋŋ-тəсбируу вəтəттəќуу лəə йəдуррукум кəйдуhум шэй`ə, иннəл-лаhə бимəə йə'мəлююнə муhиит
If some good should befall you, it upsets them, but if some ill befalls you, they rejoice at it. Yet if you are patient and Godwary, their guile will not harm you in any way. Indeed Allah encompasses what they do. -
3:121
وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌвə`из̃ ґōдəутə мин əhликə тубəуви`уль-му`миниинə мəќōō'идə ли-ль-ќитəəль, вəл-лаhу сəмии'ун 'əлиим
When you left your family at dawn to settle the faithful in their positions for battle —and Allah is all-hearing, all-knowing. -
3:122
إِذْ هَمَّت طَّائِفَتَانِ مِنكُمْ أَن تَفْشَلَا وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا ۗ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَиз̃ həммəт-тōō`ифəтəəни миŋŋкум əŋŋ-тəфшəлəə вəл-лаhу вəлиййуhумəə, вə'əлəл-лаhи фəльйəтəвəккəлиль-му`минуун
When two groups among you were about to lose courage—though Allah is their guardian, and in Allah let all the faithful put their trust. -
3:123
وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَвəлəќōд нəсōрōкумул-лаhу бибəдриу-вə`əŋŋтум əз̃ильлəh, фəəттəќуул-лаhə лə'əльлəкум тəшкуруун
Certainly Allah helped you at Badr, when you were weak [in the enemy’s eyes]. So be wary of Allah so that you may give thanks. -
3:124
إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَن يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَن يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِثَلَاثَةِ آلَافٍ مِّنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُنزَلِينَиз̃ тəќуулю ли-ль-му`миниинə əлэй-йəкфийəкум əй-йумиддəкум рōббукумм-биc̃əлəəc̃əти əəлəəфимм-минəль-мəлəə`икəти муŋŋзəлиин
When you were saying to the faithful, ‘Is it not enough for you that your Lord should aid you with three thousand angels sent down?’ -
3:125
بَلَىٰ ۚ إِن تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا وَيَأْتُوكُم مِّن فَوْرِهِمْ هَـٰذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِخَمْسَةِ آلَافٍ مِّنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَбəлəə, иŋŋ-тəсбируу вəтəттəќуу вəйə`туукум-миŋŋ-фəуриhим həəз̃əə йумдидкум рōббукумм-бихōмсəти əəлəəфимм-минəль-мəлəə`икəти мусəувимиин
Yes, if you are steadfast and Godwary, and should they come at you suddenly, your Lord will aid you with five thousand angels sent in [to the scene of battle]. -
3:126
وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بُشْرَىٰ لَكُمْ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُكُم بِهِ ۗ وَمَا النَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِвəмəə джə'əлəhул-лаhу ильлəə бушрōō лəкум вəлитəтмə`иннə ќулююбукумм-биh, вəмəəн-нəсру ильлəə мин 'иŋŋдиль-лəhиль-'əзиизиль-həкиим
Allah did not appoint it but as a good news for you and to reassure with it your hearts; and victory comes only from Allah, the All-mighty, the All-wise, -
3:128
لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَлэйсə лəкə минəль-əмри шэй`ун əу йəтуубə 'əлэйhим əу йу'əз̃з̃ибəhум фə`иннəhум з̃ōōлимуун
You have no hand in the matter, whether He accepts their repentance or punishes them, for they are indeed wrongdoers. -
3:129
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌвəлильлəhи мəə фиис-сəмəəвəəти вəмəə фииль-əрд, йəґфиру лимəй-йəшəə`у вəйу'əз̃з̃ибу мəй-йəшəə, вəл-лаhу ґōфуурур-рōhиим
To Allah belongs whatever there is in the heavens and the earth: He forgives whomever He wishes and punishes whomever He wishes, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful. -
3:130
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَأْكُلُوا الرِّبَا أَضْعَافًا مُّضَاعَفَةً ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу лəə тə`кулююр-рибəə əд'əəфəмм-мудōō'əфəh, вəəттəќуул-лаhə лə'əльлəкум туфлиhуун
O you who have faith! Do not exact usury, twofold and severalfold, and be wary of Allah so that you may be felicitous.
