    الَّذِي أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ

    əльлəз̃ии əŋŋќōдō з̃ōhрōк

    which [almost] broke your back?
  • 94:4

    وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ

    вəрōфə'нəə лəкə з̃икрōк

    Did We not exalt your name?
  • 94:5

    فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

    фə`иннə мə'əль-'усри йусрō

    Indeed ease accompanies hardship.
  • 94:6

    إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

    иннə мə'əль-'усри йусрō

    Indeed ease accompanies hardship.
  • 94:7

    فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ

    фə`из̃əə фəрōґтə фəəŋŋсōб

    So when you are done, appoint,
  • 94:8

    وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَب

    вə`илəə рōббикə фəəрґōб

    and supplicate your Lord.
  • 95:1

    وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ

    вəт-тиини вəз-зəйтуун

    By the fig and the olive,
  • 95:2

    وَطُورِ سِينِينَ

    вəтуури сииниин

    by Mount Sinai,
  • 95:3

    وَهَـٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ

    вəhəəз̃əəль-бəлəдиль-əмиин

    and by this secure town:
  • 95:4

    لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ

    лəќōд хōлəќнəəль-иŋŋсəəнə фии əhсəни тəќвиим

    We certainly created man in the best of forms;
  • 95:5

    ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ

    c̃уммə рōдəднəəhу əсфəлə сəəфилиин

    then We relegated him to the lowest of the low,
  • 95:6

    إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ

    ильлəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əмилююс-сōōлиhəəти фəлəhум əджрун ґōйру мəмнуун

    except those who have faith and do righteous deeds. There will be an everlasting reward for them.
  • 95:7

    فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ

    фəмəə йукəз̃з̃ибукə бə'ду бид-диин

    So what makes you deny the Retribution?
  • 95:8

    أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ

    əлэйсəл-лаhу би`əhкəмиль-həəкимиин

    Is not Allah the fairest of all judges?
  • 96:1

    اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ

    иќрō бисми рōббикəль-лəз̃ии хōлəќ

    Read in the Name of your Lord who created;
  • 96:2

    خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ

    хōлəќōль-иŋŋсəəнə мин 'əлəќ

    created man from a clinging mass.
  • 96:3

    اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ

    иќрō вəрōббукəль-əкрōм

    Read, and your Lord is the most generous,
  • 96:4

    الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ

    əльлəз̃ии 'əльлəмə би-ль-ќōлəм

    who taught by the pen,
  • 96:5

    عَلَّمَ الْإِنسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ

    'əльлəмəль-иŋŋсəəнə мəə лəм йə'лəм

    taught man what he did not know.
  • 96:6

    كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَيَطْغَىٰ

    кəльлəə иннəль-иŋŋсəəнə лəйəтґōō

    Indeed man becomes rebellious
