16:62
وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ مَا يَكْرَهُونَ وَتَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُهُمُ الْكَذِبَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ النَّارَ وَأَنَّهُم مُّفْرَطُونَвəйəдж'əлююнə лильлəhи мəə йəкрōhуунə вəтəсыфу əльсинəтуhумуль-кəз̃ибə əннə лəhумуль-hуснəə, лəə джəрōмə əннə лəhумун-нəəрō вə`əннəhум-муфрōтуун
They attribute to Allah what they dislike [for themselves], and their tongues assert the lie that the best of rewards [in the Hereafter] will be theirs. Undoubtedly, the Fire shall be their lot and they will be foremost [in entering it]. -
16:63
تَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ الْيَوْمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌтəл-лаhи лəќōд əрсəльнəə илəə умəмимм-миŋŋ-ќōбликə фəзəййəнə лəhумуш-шэйтōōну ə'мəəлəhум фəhувə вəлиййуhумуль-йəумə вəлəhум 'əз̃əəбун əлиим
By Allah, We have certainly sent [apostles] to nations before you. But Satan made their deeds seem decorous to them. So he is their master today and there is a painful punishment for them. -
16:64
وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ الَّذِي اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ ۙ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَвəмəə əŋŋзəльнəə 'əлэйкəль-китəəбə ильлəə литубəййинə лəhумуль-лəз̃ии-хтəлəфуу фииhи вəhудəу-вəрōhмəтəл-лиќōумий-йу`минуун
We did not send down the Book to you except [for the purpose] that you may clarify for them what they differ about, and as a guidance and mercy for a people who have faith. -
16:65
وَاللَّهُ أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَвəл-лаhу əŋŋзəлə минəс-сəмəə`и мəə`əн фə`əhйəə биhиль-əрдō бə'дə мəутиhəə, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə`əəйəтəл-лиќōумий-йəсмə'уун
Allah sends down water from the sky with which He revives the earth after its death. There is indeed a sign in that for a people who listen. -
16:66
وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۖ نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِي بُطُونِهِ مِن بَيْنِ فَرْثٍ وَدَمٍ لَّبَنًا خَالِصًا سَائِغًا لِّلشَّارِبِينَвə`иннə лəкум фииль-əн'əəми лə'ибрōh, нусќиикум-миммəə фии бутууниhи мимм-бэйни фəрc̃иу-вəдəмиль-лəбəнəн хōōлисōн сəə`иґōл-лиш-шəəрибиин
There is indeed a lesson for you in the cattle: We give you a drink pleasant to those who drink, pure milk, which is in their bellies, between [intestinal] waste and blood. -
16:67
وَمِن ثَمَرَاتِ النَّخِيلِ وَالْأَعْنَابِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْهُ سَكَرًا وَرِزْقًا حَسَنًا ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَвəмиŋŋ-c̃əмəрōōтин-нəхыыли вəəль`ə'нəəби тəттəхыз̃уунə минhу сəкəрōу-вəризќōн həсəнə, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə`əəйəтəл-лиќōумий-йə'ќилююн
From the fruits of date palms and vines you draw wine and goodly provision. There are indeed signs in that for people who exercise their reason. -
16:68
وَأَوْحَىٰ رَبُّكَ إِلَى النَّحْلِ أَنِ اتَّخِذِي مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا وَمِنَ الشَّجَرِ وَمِمَّا يَعْرِشُونَвə`əуhəə рōббукə илəəн-нəhли əни-ттəхыз̃ии минəль-джибəəли буйуутəу-вəминəш-шəджəри вəмиммəə йə'ришуун
And your Lord inspired the bee [saying]: ‘Make your home in the mountains, and on the trees and the trellises that they erect. -
16:69
ثُمَّ كُلِي مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ فَاسْلُكِي سُبُلَ رَبِّكِ ذُلُلًا ۚ يَخْرُجُ مِن بُطُونِهَا شَرَابٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهُ فِيهِ شِفَاءٌ لِّلنَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَc̃уммə кулии миŋŋ-куллиc̃-c̃əмəрōōти фəəслюкии субулə рōббики з̃улюлə, йəхруджу мимм-бутууниhəə шəрōōбумм-мухтəлифун əльвəəнуhу фииhи шифəə`ул-лин-нəəс, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə`əəйəтəл-лиќōумий-йəтəфəккəруун
Then eat from every [kind of] fruit and follow meekly the ways of your Lord.’ There issues from its belly a juice of diverse hues, in which there is a cure for the people. There is indeed a sign in that for a people who reflect. -
16:70
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ ۚ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰ أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَيْ لَا يَعْلَمَ بَعْدَ عِلْمٍ شَيْئًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ قَدِيرٌвəл-лаhу хōлəќōкум c̃уммə йəтəвəффəəкум, вəмиŋŋкум-мəй-йурōдду илəə əрз̃əлиль-'умури ликəй лəə йə'лəмə бə'дə 'ильмин шэй`ə, иннəл-лаhə 'əлиимун ќōдиир
Allah has created you, then He takes you away, and there are some among you who are relegated to the nethermost age so that he knows nothing after [having possessed] some knowledge. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-powerful. -
16:71
وَاللَّهُ فَضَّلَ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فِي الرِّزْقِ ۚ فَمَا الَّذِينَ فُضِّلُوا بِرَادِّي رِزْقِهِمْ عَلَىٰ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِيهِ سَوَاءٌ ۚ أَفَبِنِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَвəл-лаhу фəддōлə бə'дōкум 'əлəə бə'дын фиир-ризќ, фəмəəль-лəз̃иинə фуддылюю бирōōддии ризќиhим 'əлəə мəə мəлəкəт əймəəнуhум фəhум фииhи сəвəə, əфəбини'мəтиль-лəhи йəджhəдуун
Allah has granted some of you an advantage over others in [respect of] provision. Those who have been granted an advantage do not give over their provision to their slaves so that they become equal in its respect. What, do they deny the blessing of Allah? -
16:72
وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَاجِكُم بَنِينَ وَحَفَدَةً وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ ۚ أَفَبِالْبَاطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَتِ اللَّهِ هُمْ يَكْفُرُونَвəл-лаhу джə'əлə лəкум-мин əŋŋфусикум əзвəəджəу-вəджə'əлə лəкум-мин əзвəəджикумм-бəниинə вəhəфəдəтəу-вəрōзəќōкум-минəт-тōййибəəт, əфəби-ль-бəəтыли йу`минуунə вəбини'мəтиль-лəhи hум йəкфуруун
Allah made for you mates from your own selves and appointed for you children and grandchildren from your mates, and We provided you with all the good things. What, do they believe in falsehood while they deny the blessing of Allah? -
16:73
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ رِزْقًا مِّنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَвəйə'будуунə миŋŋ-дууниль-лəhи мəə лəə йəмлику лəhум ризќōмм-минəс-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрды шэй`əу-вəлəə йəстəтыы'уун
They worship besides Allah what has no power to provide them with anything from the heavens and the earth, nor are they capable [of anything]. -
16:75
۞ ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا عَبْدًا مَّمْلُوكًا لَّا يَقْدِرُ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ وَمَن رَّزَقْنَاهُ مِنَّا رِزْقًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ يُنفِقُ مِنْهُ سِرًّا وَجَهْرًا ۖ هَلْ يَسْتَوُونَ ۚ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَдōрōбəл-лаhу мəc̃əлəн 'əбдəмм-мəмлююкəль-лəə йəќдиру 'əлəə шэй`иу-вəмəр-рōзəќнəəhу миннəə ризќōн həсəнəн фəhувə йуŋŋфиќу минhу сиррōу-вəджəhрō, həль йəстəвуун, əльhəмду лильлəh, бəль əкc̃əруhум лəə йə'лəмуун
Allah draws a parable: a slave owned [by his master] who has no power over anything, and another one [a free man] whom We have provided a goodly provision and who spends out of it secretly and openly. Are they equal? All praise belongs to Allah. But most of them do not know. -
16:76
وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا رَّجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَبْكَمُ لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ كَلٌّ عَلَىٰ مَوْلَاهُ أَيْنَمَا يُوَجِّههُّ لَا يَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ ۖ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي هُوَ وَمَن يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ ۙ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍвəдōрōбəл-лаhу мəc̃əлəр-рōджулəйни əhəдуhумəə əбкəму лəə йəќдиру 'əлəə шэй`иу-вəhувə кəллюн 'əлəə мəулəəhу əйнəмəə йувəджджиhhу лəə йə`ти бихōйр, həль йəстəвии hувə вəмəй-йə`муру би-ль-'əдли вəhувə 'əлəə сырōōтымм-мустəќиим
Allah draws [another] parable: Two men, one of whom is dumb, having no power over anything and who is a liability to his master: wherever he directs him he does not bring any good. Is he equal to someone who enjoins justice and is [steady] on a straight path? -
16:77
وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَا أَمْرُ السَّاعَةِ إِلَّا كَلَمْحِ الْبَصَرِ أَوْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌвəлильлəhи ґōйбус-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрд, вəмəə əмрус-сəə'əти ильлəə кəлəмhиль-бəсōри əу hувə əќрōб, иннəл-лаhə 'əлəə кулли шэй`ин ќōдиир
To Allah belongs the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. The matter of the Hour is just like the twinkling of an eye, or [even] swifter. Indeed Allah has power over all things. -
16:78
وَاللَّهُ أَخْرَجَكُم مِّن بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۙ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَвəл-лаhу əхрōджəкум-мимм-бутууни уммəhəəтикум лəə тə'лəмуунə шэй`əу-вəджə'əлə лəкумус-сəм'ə вəəль`əбсōōрō вəəль`əф`идəтə лə'əльлəкум тəшкуруун
Allah has brought you forth from the bellies of your mothers while you did not know anything. He made for you hearing, eyesight, and hearts so that you may give thanks. -
16:79
أَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ فِي جَوِّ السَّمَاءِ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَəлəм йəрōу илəəт-тōйри мусəххōрōōтин фии джəувис-сəмəə`и мəə йумсикуhуннə ильлəл-лаh, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə`əəйəəтил-лиќōумий-йу`минуун
Have they not regarded the birds disposed in the air of the sky: no one sustains them except Allah. There are indeed signs in that for a people who have faith. -
16:80
وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّن بُيُوتِكُمْ سَكَنًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّن جُلُودِ الْأَنْعَامِ بُيُوتًا تَسْتَخِفُّونَهَا يَوْمَ ظَعْنِكُمْ وَيَوْمَ إِقَامَتِكُمْ ۙ وَمِنْ أَصْوَافِهَا وَأَوْبَارِهَا وَأَشْعَارِهَا أَثَاثًا وَمَتَاعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍвəл-лаhу джə'əлə лəкум-мимм-буйуутикум сəкəнəу-вəджə'əлə лəкум-миŋŋ-джулююдиль-əн'əəми буйуутəн тəстəхыффуунəhəə йəумə з̃ō'никум вəйəумə иќōōмəтикум вəмин əсвəəфиhəə вə`əубəəриhəə вə`əш'əəриhəə əc̃əəc̃əу-вəмəтəə'əн илəə hиин
It is Allah who has made your homes as a place of rest for you and He made for you homes out of the skins of the cattle which you find portable on the day of your shifting and on the day of your halt, and out of their wool, fur and hair [He has appointed] furniture and wares [enduring] for a while. -
16:81
وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّمَّا خَلَقَ ظِلَالًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الْجِبَالِ أَكْنَانًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ سَرَابِيلَ تَقِيكُمُ الْحَرَّ وَسَرَابِيلَ تَقِيكُم بَأْسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُتِمُّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْلِمُونَвəл-лаhу джə'əлə лəкум-миммəə хōлəќō з̃ылəəлəу-вəджə'əлə лəкум-минəль-джибəəли əкнəəнəу-вəджə'əлə лəкум сəрōōбиилə тəќиикумуль-həррō вəсəрōōбиилə тəќиикумм-бə`сəкум, кəз̃əəликə йутимму ни'мəтəhу 'əлэйкум лə'əльлəкум туслимуун
It is Allah who made for you the shade from what He has created, and made for you retreats in the mountains, and made for you garments that protect you from heat, and garments that protect you from your [mutual] violence. That is how He completes His blessing upon you so that you may submit [to Him].
