  • بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

    бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим

    In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

  • 107:1
    أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ

    əрō`əйтəль-лəз̃ии йукəз̃з̃ибу бид-диин

    Did you see him who denies the Retribution?

  • 107:2
    فَذَ‌ٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ

    фəз̃əəликəль-лəз̃ии йəду''уль-йəтиим

    That is the one, who drives away the orphan,

  • 107:3
    وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ

    вəлəə йəhудду 'əлəə тō'əəмиль-мискиин

    and does not urge the feeding of the needy.

    فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ

    фəвəйлюл-ли-ль-мусōллиин

    Woe to those who pray

    الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ

    əльлəз̃иинə hум 'əŋŋ-сōлəəтиhим сəəhуун

    but are heedless of their prayers

    الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ

    əльлəз̃иинə hум йурōō`уун

    —who show off

    وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ

    вəйəмнə'уунəль-мəə'уун

    but deny aid.
