الٓر‌ۚ كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٲطِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ١

Алиф, лəм, ра. китəəбун əӈзəльнəəhу илəйкə литухриджə ннəəсə минə з̃з̃улюмəəти илəə ннуури бииз̃ни рōббиhим илəə сырōōт̣ыль-'əзиизиль-həмиид

Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book We have sent down to you that you may bring mankind out from darkness into light, by the command of their Lord, to the path of the All-mighty, the All-laudable

ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ‌ۗ وَوَيْلٌ لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ٢

əллаhи льлəз̃ии лəhу мəə фии ссəмəəвəəти вəмəə фииль-əрд, вəвəйлюл-ли-ль-кəəфириинə мин 'əз̃əəбин шəдиид

—Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Woe to the faithless for a severe punishment

ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ ٱلْحَيَوٲةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا عَلَى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا‌ۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَـٰلِۭ بَعِيدٍ٣

əль-лəз̃иинə йəстəhиббуунəль-həйəəтə ддунйəə 'əлəəль-'əəхырōти вəйəсуддуунə 'əӈ-сəбиили льлəhи вəйəбґуунəhəə 'ивəджə, уулəə'икə фии дōлəəлимм-бə'иид

—those who prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter, and bar [others] from the way of Allah, and seek to make it crooked. They are in extreme error.

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِۦ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ‌ۖ فَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ‌ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ٤

вəмəə əрсəльнəə мир-рōсуулин ильлəə билисəəни ќōумиhи лийубəййинə лəhум, фəйудыллю ллаhу мəй-йəшəə'у вəйəhдии мəй-йəшəə', вəhувəль-'əзиизуль-həкиим

We did not send any apostle except with the language of his people, so that he might make [Our messages] clear to them. Then Allah leads astray whomever He wishes, and He guides whomsoever He wishes, and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise.

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِنَآ أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ وَذَكِّرْهُم بِأَيَّـٰمِ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَـٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ٥

вəлəќōд əрсəльнəə муусəə би'əəйəəтинəə əн əхридж ќōумəкə минə з̃з̃улюмəəти илəə ннуури вəз̃əккирhумм-биəййəəми льлəh, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə'əəйəəтил-ликулли сōббəəрин шəкуур

Certainly We sent Moses with Our signs: ‘Bring your people out from darkness into light and remind them of Allah’s [holy] days. There are indeed signs in that for every patient and grateful [servant].’

وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ ٱذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ أَنجَـٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ‌ۚ وَفِى ذَٲلِكُم بَلَآءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ٦

вəиз̃ ќōōлə муусəə лиќōумиhи-з̃куруу ни'мəтə ллаhи 'əлэйкум из̃ əӈджəəкум-мин əəли фир'əунə йəсуумуунəкум суу'əль-'əз̃əəби вəйуз̃əббиhуунə əбнəə'əкум вəйəстəhйуунə нисəə'əкум, вəфии з̃əəликумм-бəлəə'умм-мир-рōббикум 'əз̃ыым

When Moses said to his people, ‘Remember Allah’s blessing upon you when He delivered you from Pharaoh’s clan who inflicted a terrible torment on you, and slaughtered your sons and spared your women, and in that there was a great test from your Lord.

وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ‌ۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌ٧

вəиз̃ тəəз̃з̃əнə рōббукум лə'иӈ-шəкəртум лəəзиидəннəкум, вəлə'иӈ-кəфəртум иннə 'əз̃əəбии лəшəдиид

And when your Lord proclaimed, “If you are grateful, I will surely enhance you [in blessing], but if you are ungrateful, My punishment is indeed severe.” ’

وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِن تَكْفُرُوٓاْ أَنتُمْ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌ٨

вəќōōлə муусəə иӈ-тəкфуруу əӈтум вəмəӈ-фииль-əрды джəмии'əн фəиннə ллаhə лəґōниййун həмиид

And Moses said, ‘Should you be faithless,—you and everyone on the earth, all together—indeed Allah is all-sufficient, all-laudable.’

أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُاْ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ‌ۛ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ‌ۛ لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ‌ۚ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَرَدُّوٓاْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِىٓ أَفْوَٲهِهِمْ وَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَنَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ٩

əлəм йəтикум нəбəу льлəз̃иинə миӈ-ќōбликум ќōуми нууhиу-вə'əəдиу-вəc̃əмуудə вəль-лəз̃иинə мимм-бə'диhим, лəə йə'лəмуhум ильлəə ллаh, джəə'əтhум русулюhумм-биль-бэййинəəти фəрōддуу əйдийəhум фии əфвəəhиhим вəќōōлюю иннəə кəфəрнəə бимəə урсильтумм-биhи вəиннəə лəфии шəккимм-миммəə тəд'уунəнəə илəйhи мурииб

Has there not come to you the account of those who were before you—the people of Noah, ‘Ad and Thamud, and those who were after them, whom no one knows [well] except Allah? Their apostles brought them manifest proofs, but they did not respond to them, and said, ‘We disbelieve in what you have been sent with. Indeed we have grave doubts concerning that to which you invite us.’

قَالَتْ رُسُلُهُمْ أَفِى ٱللَّهِ شَكٌّ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ‌ۖ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِيَغْفِرَ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى‌ۚ قَالُوٓاْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأْتُونَا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ١٠

ќōōлəт русулюhум əфии ллаhи шəккун фəəт̣ыри ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрд, йəд'уукум лийəґфирō лəкум-миӈ-з̃унуубикум вəйу'əххырōкум илəə əджəлимм-мусəммəн, ќōōлюю ин əӈтум ильлəə бəшəрумм-миc̃люнəə туриидуунə əӈ-тəсуддуунəə 'əммəə кəəнə йə'буду əəбəə'унəə фəтуунəə бисульт̣ōōнимм-мубиин

Their apostles said, ‘Is there any doubt about Allah, the originator of the heavens and the earth?! He calls you to forgive you a part of your sins, and grants you respite until a specified time.’ They said, ‘You are nothing but humans like us who desire to bar us from what our fathers used to worship. So bring us a manifest authority.’

قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِن نَّحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ‌ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نَّأْتِيَكُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ١١

ќōōлəт лəhум русулюhум ин-нəhну ильлəə бəшəрумм-миc̃люкум вəлəəкиннə ллаhə йəмунну 'əлəə мəй-йəшəə'у мин 'ибəəдиh, вəмəə кəəнə лəнəə əн-нəтийəкумм-бисульт̣ōōнин ильлəə бииз̃ни льлəh, вə'əлəə ллаhи фəльйəтəвəккəлиль-му'минуун

Their apostles said to them, ‘Indeed we are just human beings like yourselves; but Allah favours whomever of His servants that He wishes. We may not bring you an authority except by Allah’s leave, and in Allah let all the faithful put their trust.

وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَٮٰنَا سُبُلَنَا‌ۚ وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا‌ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ١٢

вəмəə лəнəə əльлəə нəтəвəккəлə 'əлəə ллаhи вəќōд həдəəнəə субулəнəə, вəлəнəсбирōннə 'əлəə мəə əəз̃əйтумуунəə, вə'əлəə ллаhи фəльйəтəвəккəлиль-мутəвəккилююн

And why should we not put our trust in Allah, seeing that He has guided us in our ways? Surely, we will put up patiently with whatever torment you may inflict upon us, and in Allah let all the trusting put their trust.’

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِرُسُلِهِمْ لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِنَآ أَوْ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِى مِلَّتِنَا‌ۖ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ لَنُهْلِكَنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ١٣

вəќōōлə льлəз̃иинə кəфəруу лирусулиhим лəнухриджəннəкум-мин əрдынəə əу лəтə'уудуннə фии мильлəтинəə, фəəуhəə илəйhим рōббуhум лəнуhликəннə з̃з̃ōōлимиин

But the faithless said to their apostles, ‘Surely we will expel you from our land, or you shall revert to our creed.’ Thereat their Lord revealed to them: ‘We will surely destroy the wrongdoers,

وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامِى وَخَافَ وَعِيدِ١٤

вəлəнускинəннəкумуль-əрдō мимм-бə'диhим, з̃əəликə лимəн хōōфə мəќōōмии вəхōōфə вə'иид

and surely We will settle you in the land after them. This [promise] is for someone who is awed to stand before Me and fears My threat.’

وَٱسْتَفْتَحُواْ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ١٥

вəəстəфтəhуу вəхōōбə куллю джəббəəрин 'əниид

They prayed for victory [against the infidels], and every obstinate tyrant was defeated,

مِّن وَرَآئِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسْقَىٰ مِن مَّآءٍ صَدِيدٍ١٦

миу-вəрōō'иhи джəhəннəму вəйусќōō мимм-мəə'ин сōдиид

with hell lying ahead of him, [where] he shall be given to drink of a purulent fluid,

يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأْتِيهِ ٱلْمَوْتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍ‌ۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌ١٧

йəтəджəррō'уhу вəлəə йəкəəду йусииґуhу вəйəтииhиль-мəуту миӈ-кулли мəкəəниу-вəмəə hувə бимəййит, вəмиу-вəрōō'иhи 'əз̃əəбун ґōлииз̃

gulping it down, but hardly swallowing it: death will assail him from every side, but he will not die, and there is [yet] a harsh punishment ahead of him.

مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمْ‌ۖ أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ كَرَمَادٍ ٱشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى يَوْمٍ عَاصِفٍ‌ۖ لَّا يَقْدِرُونَ مِمَّا كَسَبُواْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ١٨

мəc̃əлю льлəз̃иинə кəфəруу бирōббиhим, ə'мəəлюhум кəрōмəəдин-штəддəт биhи ррииhу фии йəумин 'əəсыф, лəə йəќдируунə миммəə кəсəбуу 'əлəə шэй', з̃əəликə hувə ддōлəəлюль-бə'иид

A parable of those who defy their Lord: their deeds are like ashes over which the wind blows hard on a tempestuous day: they have no power over anything they have earned. That is extreme error.

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ‌ۚ إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ١٩

əлəм тəрō əннə ллаhə хōлəќō ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрдō биль-həќќ, ий-йəшə йуз̃hибкум вəйəти бихōльќин джəдиид

Have you not regarded that Allah created the heavens and the earth with justice? If He wishes, He will take you away, and bring about a new creation,

وَمَا ذَٲلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ بِعَزِيزٍ٢٠

вəмəə з̃əəликə 'əлəə ллаhи би'əзииз

and that is not a formidable thing for Allah.

وَبَرَزُواْ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا فَقَالَ ٱلضُّعَفَـٰٓؤُاْ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّغْنُونَ عَنَّا مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ‌ۚ قَالُواْ لَوْ هَدَٮٰنَا ٱللَّهُ لَهَدَيْنَـٰكُمْ‌ۖ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَجَزِعْنَآ أَمْ صَبَرْنَا مَا لَنَا مِن مَّحِيصٍ٢١

вəбəрōзуу ли-Ллəhи джəмии'əн фəќōōлə дду'əфəə'у лильлəз̃иинə-стəкбəруу иннəə куннəə лəкум тəбə'əн фəhəль əӈтум-муґнуунə 'əннəə мин 'əз̃əəби льлəhи миӈ-шэй', ќōōлюю лəу həдəəнəə ллаhу лəhəдəйнəəкум, сəвəə'ун 'əлэйнəə əджəзи'нəə əм сōбəрнəə мəə лəнəə мимм-мəhиис

Together they will be presented before Allah. Then those who were weak will say to the arrogant [leaders], ‘Indeed we were your followers. So will you avail us against Allah’s punishment in any wise?’ They will say, ‘Had Allah guided us, surely we would have guided you. It is the same to us whether we are restless or patient: there is no escape for us.’

وَقَالَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لَمَّا قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَعَدَكُمْ وَعْدَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَوَعَدتُّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُكُمْ‌ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِىَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَـٰنٍ إِلَّآ أَن دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَٱسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِى‌ۖ فَلَا تَلُومُونِى وَلُومُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُم‌ۖ مَّآ أَنَا۟ بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُصْرِخِىَّ‌ۖ إِنِّى كَفَرْتُ بِمَآ أَشْرَكْتُمُونِ مِن قَبْلُ‌ۗ إِنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ٢٢

вəќōōлə шшэйт̣ōōну лəммəə ќудыйəль-əмру иннə ллаhə вə'əдəкум вə'дəль-həќќи вəвə'əттукум фəəхлəфтукум, вəмəə кəəнə лийə 'əлэйкум-миӈ-сульт̣ōōнин ильлəə əӈ-дə'əутукум фəəстəджəбтум лий, фəлəə тəлююмуунии вəлююмуу əӈфусəкум, мəə əнəə бимусрихыкум вəмəə əӈтумм-бимусрихыйй, иннии кəфəрту бимəə əшрōктумууни миӈ-ќōбль, иннə з̃з̃ōōлимиинə лəhум 'əз̃əəбун əлиим

When the matter is all over, Satan will say, ‘Indeed Allah made you a promise that was true and I [too] made you a promise, but I failed you. I had no authority over you, except that I called you and you responded to me. So do not blame me, but blame yourselves. I cannot respond to your distress calls, neither can you respond to my distress calls. Indeed I disavow your taking me for [Allah’s] partner aforetime. There is indeed a painful punishment for the wrongdoers.’

وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ‌ۖ تَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَـٰمٌ٢٣

вəудхылə льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əмилюю ссōōлиhəəти джəннəəтин тəджрии миӈ-тəhтиhəəль-əнhəəру хōōлидиинə фииhəə бииз̃ни рōббиhим, тəhиййəтуhум фииhəə сəлəəм

Those who have faith and do righteous deeds will be admitted into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever], by the leave of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be ‘Peace!’

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلاً كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَفَرْعُهَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ٢٤

əлəм тəрō кəйфə дōрōбə ллаhу мəc̃əлəн кəлимəтəн т̣ōййибəтəн кəшəджəрōтин т̣ōййибəтин əслюhəə c̃əəбитуу-вəфəр'уhəə фии ссəмəə'

Have you not regarded how Allah has drawn a parable? A good word is like a good tree: its roots are steady and its branches are in the sky.

تُؤْتِىٓ أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينِۭ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا‌ۗ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ٢٥

ту'тии укулəhəə кульлə hиинимм-бииз̃ни рōббиhəə, вəйəдрибу ллаhуль-əмc̃əəлə лин-нəəси лə'əльлəhум йəтəз̃əккəруун

It gives its fruit every season by the leave of its Lord. Allah draws these parables for mankind so that they may take admonition.

وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ ٱجْتُثَّتْ مِن فَوْقِ ٱلْأَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِن قَرَارٍ٢٦

вəмəc̃əлю кəлимəтин хōбииc̃əтин кəшəджəрōтин хōбииc̃əтин-джтуc̃c̃əт миӈ-фəуќиль-əрды мəə лəhəə миӈ-ќōрōōр

And the parable of a bad word is that of a bad tree: uprooted from the ground, it has no stability.

يُثَبِّتُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ بِٱلْقَوْلِ ٱلثَّابِتِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٲةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَفِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ‌ۖ وَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ‌ۚ وَيَفْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ٢٧

йуc̃əббиту ллаhу льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу биль-ќōули c̃c̃əəбити фииль-həйəəти ддунйəə вəфииль-'əəхырōh, вəйудыллю ллаhу з̃з̃ōōлимиин, вəйəф'əлю ллаhу мəə йəшəə'

Allah fortifies those who have faith with a constant creed in the life of this world and in the Hereafter, and Allah leads astray the wrongdoers, and Allah does whatever He wishes.

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ بَدَّلُواْ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ كُفْرًا وَأَحَلُّواْ قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ ٱلْبَوَارِ٢٨

əлəм тəрō илəə льлəз̃иинə бəддəлюю ни'мəтə ллаhи куфрōу-вəəhəллюю ќōумəhум дəəрōль-бəвəəр

Have you not regarded those who have changed Allah’s blessing with ingratitude, and landed their people in the house of ruin?

جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا‌ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرَارُ٢٩

джəhəннəмə йəслəунəhəə, вəби'сəль-ќōрōōр

—hell, which they shall enter, and it is an evil abode!

وَجَعَلُواْ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا لِّيُضِلُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ‌ۗ قُلْ تَمَتَّعُواْ فَإِنَّ مَصِيرَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ٣٠

вəджə'əлюю ли-Ллəhи əӈдəəдəл-лийудыллюю 'əӈ-сəбиилиh, ќуль тəмəттə'уу фəиннə мəсыырōкум илəə ннəəр

They have set up equals to Allah, to lead [people] astray from His way. Say, ‘Enjoy [for a while], for indeed your destination is hellfire!’

قُل لِّعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يُقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٲةَ وَيُنفِقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ يَوْمٌ لَّا بَيْعٌ فِيهِ وَلَا خِلَـٰلٌ٣١

ќул-ли'ибəəдийə льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу йуќиимуу ссōлəəтə вəйуӈфиќуу миммəə рōзəќнəəhум сиррōу-вə'əлəəнийəтəмм-миӈ-ќōбли əй-йəтийə йəумуль-лəə бэй'ун фииhи вəлəə хылəəль

Tell My servants who have faith to maintain the prayer and to spend out of what We have provided them with, secretly and openly, before there comes a day on which there will be neither any bargaining nor friendship.

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٲتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ‌ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْفُلْكَ لِتَجْرِىَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ‌ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرَ٣٢

əллаhу льлəз̃ии хōлəќō ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрдō вəəӈзəлə минə ссəмəə'и мəə'əн фəəхрōджə биhи минə c̃c̃əмəрōōти ризќōль-лəкум, вəсəххōрō лəкумуль-фулькə литəджрийə фииль-бəhри биəмриh, вəсəххōрō лəкумуль-əнhəəр

It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth, and He sends down water from the sky and with it He brings forth crops for your sustenance. And He disposed the ships for you[r benefit] so that they may sail at sea by His command, and He disposed the rivers for you.

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ دَآئِبَيْنِ‌ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ٣٣

вəсəххōрō лəкуму шшəмсə вəəльќōмəрō дəə'ибəйн, вəсəххōрō лəкуму льлэйлə вə ннəhəəр

He disposed the sun and the moon for you, constant [in their courses], and He disposed the night and the day,

وَءَاتَـٰكُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُ‌ۚ وَإِن تَعُدُّواْ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ‌ۗ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَظَلُومٌ كَفَّارٌ٣٤

вə'əəтəəкум-миӈ-кулли мəə сəəльтумууh, вəиӈ-тə'уддуу ни'мəтə ллаhи лəə туhсууhəə, иннəль-иӈсəəнə лəз̃ōлююмун кəффəəр

and He gave you all that you had asked Him. If you enumerate Allah’s blessings, you will not be able to count them. Indeed man is most unfair and ungrateful!

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٲهِيمُ رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْ هَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدَ ءَامِنًا وَٱجْنُبْنِى وَبَنِىَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ ٱلْأَصْنَامَ٣٥

вəиз̃ ќōōлə ибрōōhииму рōбби-дж'əль həəз̃əəль-бəлəдə əəминəу-вəəджнубнии вəбəниййə əн-нə'будəль-əснəəм

When Abraham said, ‘My Lord! Make this city a sanctuary, and save me and my children from worshiping idols.

رَبِّ إِنَّهُنَّ أَضْلَلْنَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ‌ۖ فَمَن تَبِعَنِى فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنِّى‌ۖ وَمَنْ عَصَانِى فَإِنَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ٣٦

рōбби иннəhуннə əдлəльнə кəc̃иирōмм-минə ннəəс, фəмəӈ-тəби'əнии фəиннəhу минний, вəмəн 'əсōōнии фəиннəкə ґōфууруррōhиим

My Lord! Indeed they have misled many people. So whoever follows me indeed belongs to me, and as for those who disobey me, well, You are indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful.

رَّبَّنَآ إِنِّىٓ أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِى بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِى زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٲةَ فَٱجْعَلْ أَفْــِٔدَةً مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ تَهْوِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ وَٱرْزُقْهُم مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٲتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ٣٧

рōббəнəə иннии əскəӈту миӈ-з̃урриййəтии бивəəдин ґōйри з̃ии зəр'ин 'иӈдə бэйтикəль-муhəррōми рōббəнəə лийуќиимуу ссōлəəтə фəəдж'əль əф'идəтəмм-минə ннəəси тəhвии илəйhим вəəрзуќhум-минə c̃c̃əмəрōōти лə'əльлəhум йəшкуруун

Our Lord! I have settled part of my descendants in a barren valley, by Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may maintain the prayer. So make the hearts of a part of the people fond of them, and provide them with fruits, so that they may give thanks.

رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِى وَمَا نُعْلِنُ‌ۗ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ٣٨

рōббəнəə иннəкə тə'лəму мəə нухфии вəмəə ну'лин, вəмəə йəхфəə 'əлəə ллаhи миӈ-шэй'ин фииль-əрды вəлəə фии ссəмəə'

Our Lord! Indeed You know whatever we hide and whatever we disclose, and nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth or in the sky.

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى وَهَبَ لِى عَلَى ٱلْكِبَرِ إِسْمَـٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَـٰقَ‌ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَسَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ٣٩

əль-həмду ли-Ллəhи льлəз̃ии вəhəбə лии 'əлəəль-кибəри исмəə'иилə вəисhəəќ, иннə рōббии лəсəмии'у дду'əə'

All praise belongs to Allah, who gave me Ishmael and Isaac despite [my] old age. Indeed my Lord hears all supplications.

رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْنِى مُقِيمَ ٱلصَّلَوٲةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى‌ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَآءِ٤٠

рōбби-дж'əльнии муќиимə ссōлəəти вəмиӈ-з̃урриййəтий, рōббəнəə вəтəќōббəль ду'əə'

My Lord! Make me a maintainer of prayer, and my descendants [as well]. Our Lord, accept my supplication.

رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِوَٲلِدَىَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلْحِسَابُ٤١

рōббəнəə-ґфир лии вəливəəлидəййə вəли-ль-му'миниинə йəумə йəќуумуль-hисəəб

Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and all the faithful, on the day when the reckoning is held.’

وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَـٰفِلاً عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ‌ۚ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ٤٢

вəлəə тəhсəбəннə ллаhə ґōōфилəн 'əммəə йə'мəлю з̃з̃ōōлимуун, иннəмəə йу'əххыруhум лийəумин тəшхōсу фииhиль-əбсōōр

Do not suppose that Allah is oblivious of what the wrongdoers are doing. He is only granting them respite until the day when the eyes will be glazed.

مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِى رُءُوسِهِمْ لَا يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ‌ۖ وَأَفْــِٔدَتُهُمْ هَوَآءٌ٤٣

муhт̣ы'иинə муќни'ии ру'уусиhим лəə йəртəдду илəйhим т̣ōрфуhум, вəəф'идəтуhум həвəə'

Scrambling with their heads upturned, there will be a fixed gaze in their eyes, and their hearts will be vacant.

وَأَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ فَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ رَبَّنَآ أَخِّرْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ نُّجِبْ دَعْوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ ٱلرُّسُلَ‌ۗ أَوَلَمْ تَكُونُوٓاْ أَقْسَمْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ مَا لَكُم مِّن زَوَالٍ٤٤

вəəӈз̃ири ннəəсə йəумə йəтииhимуль-'əз̃əəбу фəйəќуулю льлəз̃иинə з̃ōлəмуу рōббəнəə əххырнəə илəə əджəлин ќōриибин-ннуджиб дə'вəтəкə вəнəттəби'и ррусуль, əвəлəм тəкуунуу əќсəмтум-миӈ-ќōблю мəə лəкум-миӈ-зəвəəль

Warn the people of the day when the punishment will overtake them, whereat the wrongdoers will say, ‘Our Lord! Respite us for a short time so that we may respond to Your call and follow the apostles.’ [They will be told,] ‘Did you not use to swear earlier that there would be no reverse for you,

وَسَكَنتُمْ فِى مَسَـٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ كَيْفَ فَعَلْنَا بِهِمْ وَضَرَبْنَا لَكُمُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ٤٥

вəсəкəӈтум фии мəсəəкини льлəз̃иинə з̃ōлəмуу əӈфусəhум вəтəбэййəнə лəкум кəйфə фə'əльнəə биhим вəдōрōбнəə лəкумуль-əмc̃əəль

while you dwelt in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves [before], and it had been made clear to you how We had dealt with them [before you], and We had [also] cited examples for you?’

وَقَدْ مَكَرُواْ مَكْرَهُمْ وَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَكْرُهُمْ وَإِن كَانَ مَكْرُهُمْ لِتَزُولَ مِنْهُ ٱلْجِبَالُ٤٦

вəќōд мəкəруу мəкрōhум вə'иӈдə ллаhи мəкруhум вəиӈ-кəəнə мəкруhум литəзуулə минhуль-джибəəль

They certainly devised their plots, but their plots are known to Allah, and their plots are not such as to dislodge the mountains.

فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِفَ وَعْدِهِۦ رُسُلَهُۥٓ‌ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ٤٧

фəлəə тəhсəбəннə ллаhə мухлифə вə'диhи русулəh, иннə ллаhə 'əзиизун з̃уу-ӈтиќōōм

So do not suppose that Allah will break His promise to His apostles. Indeed Allah is all-mighty, avenger.

يَوْمَ تُبَدَّلُ ٱلْأَرْضُ غَيْرَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتُ‌ۖ وَبَرَزُواْ لِلَّهِ ٱلْوَٲحِدِ ٱلْقَهَّارِ٤٨

йəумə тубəддəлюль-əрду ґōйрōль-əрды вə ссəмəəвəəт, вəбəрōзуу ли-Ллəhиль-вəəhидиль-ќōhhəəр

The day when the earth is turned into another earth and the heavens [as well], and they are presented before Allah, the One, the All-paramount

وَتَرَى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّقَرَّنِينَ فِى ٱلْأَصْفَادِ٤٩

вəтəрōōль-муджримиинə йəумə'из̃имм-муќōррōниинə фииль-əсфəəд

—on that day you will see the guilty bound together in chains,

سَرَابِيلُهُم مِّن قَطِرَانٍ وَتَغْشَىٰ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ٥٠

сəрōōбиилюhум-миӈ-ќōт̣ырōōниу-вəтəґшəə вуджууhəhуму ннəəр

their garments made of pitch, and the Fire covering their faces,

لِيَجْزِىَ ٱللَّهُ كُلَّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ٥١

лийəджзийə ллаhу кульлə нəфсимм-мəə кəсəбəт, иннə ллаhə сəрии'уль-hисəəб

so that Allah may reward every soul for what it has earned. Indeed Allah is swift at reckoning.

هَـٰذَا بَلَـٰغٌ لِّلنَّاسِ وَلِيُنذَرُواْ بِهِۦ وَلِيَعْلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٲحِدٌ وَلِيَذَّكَّرَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ٥٢

həəз̃əə бəлəəґул-лин-нəəси вəлийуӈз̃əруу биhи вəлийə'лəмуу əннəмəə hувə илəəhуу-вəəhидуу-вəлийəз̃з̃əккəрō уулююль-əльбəəб

This is a proclamation for mankind, so that they may be warned thereby and know that He is indeed the One God, and those who possess intellect may take admonition.
