surah093

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ١

вə ддуhəə

By the morning brightness,

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ٢

вə льлэйли из̃əə сəджəə

and by the night when it is calm!

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ٣

мəə вəддə'əкə рōббукə вəмəə ќōлəə

Your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you,

وَلَلْأَخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ٤

вəлə-ль-'əəхырōту хōйруль-лəкə минəль-уулəə

and the Hereafter shall be better for you than the world.

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ٥

вəлəсəуфə йу'т̣ыыкə рōббукə фəтəрдōō

Soon your Lord will give you [that with which] you will be pleased.

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔـاوَىٰ٦

əлəм йəджидкə йəтиимəн фə'əəвəə

Did He not find you an orphan, and shelter you?

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلاًّ فَهَدَىٰ٧

вəвəджəдəкə дōōльлəн фəhəдəə

Did He not find you astray, and guide you?

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلاً فَأَغْنَىٰ٨

вəвəджəдəкə 'əə'илəн фəəґнəə

Did He not find you needy, and enrich you?

فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ٩

фəəммəəль-йəтиимə фəлəə тəќhəр

So, as for the orphan, do not oppress him;

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ١٠

вəəммəə ссəə'илə фəлəə тəнhəр

and as for the beggar, do not chide him;

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ١١

вəəммəə бини'мəти рōббикə фəhəддиc̃

and as for your Lord’s blessing, proclaim it!
