قٓ‌ۚ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْمَجِيدِ١

Каф. вəəльќур'əəниль-мəджиид

Qaf. By the glorious Quran.

بَلْ عَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ هَـٰذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ٢

бəль 'əджибуу əӈ-джəə'əhум-муӈз̃ирумм-минhум фəќōōлəль-кəəфируунə həəз̃əə шэй'ун 'əджииб

Indeed they consider it odd that a warner from among themselves should have come to them. So the faithless say, ‘This is an odd thing.’

أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا‌ۖ ذَٲلِكَ رَجْعُۢ بَعِيدٌ٣

əиз̃əə митнəə вəкуннəə турōōбə, з̃əəликə рōдж'умм-бə'иид

‘What! When we are dead and have become dust, [shall we be raised again]? That is a far-fetched return!’

قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ‌ۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَـٰبٌ حَفِيظُۢ٤

ќōд 'əлимнəə мəə тəӈќусуль-əрду минhум, вə'иӈдəнəə китəəбун həфииз̃

We know what the earth diminishes from them, and with Us is a preserving Book.

بَلْ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ٥

бəль кəз̃з̃əбуу биль-həќќи лəммəə джəə'əhум фəhум фии əмримм-мəриидж

Indeed, they denied the truth when it came to them; so they are now in a perplexed state of affairs.

أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ٦

əфəлəм йəӈз̃уруу илəə ссəмəə'и фəуќōhум кəйфə бəнəйнəəhəə вəзəййəннəəhəə вəмəə лəhəə миӈ-фуруудж

Have they not, then, observed the heaven above them, how We have built it and adorned it, and that there are no cracks in it?

وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَـٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٲسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجِۭ بَهِيجٍ٧

вəəльəрдō мəдəднəəhəə вəəльќōйнəə фииhəə рōвəəсийə вəəмм-бəтнəə фииhəə миӈ-кулли зəуджимм-бəhиидж

And We spread out the earth, and cast in it firm mountains, and caused every delightful kind [of vegetation] to grow in it.

تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ٨

тəбсырōтəу-вəз̃икрōō ликулли 'əбдимм-мунииб

[In this there is] an insight and admonition for every penitent servant.

وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً مُّبَـٰرَكًا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّـٰتٍ وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِ٩

вəнəззəльнəə минə ссəмəə'и мəə'əмм-мубəəрōкəн фəəмм-бəтнəə биhи джəннəəтиу-вəhəббəль-həсыыд

We send down from the sky salubrious water, with which We grow gardens and the grain which is harvested,

وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَـٰتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ١٠

вə ннəхлə бəəсиќōōтиль-лəhəə т̣ōль'ун-ннəдыыд

and tall date palms with regularly set spathes,

رِّزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ‌ۖ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا‌ۚ كَذَٲلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُ١١

ризќōл-ли-ль-'ибəəд, вəəhйəйнəə биhи бəльдəтəмм-мəйтə, кəз̃əəликəль-хуруудж

as a provision for Our servants, and with it We revive a dead country. Likewise will be the rising [from the dead].

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ١٢

кəз̃з̃əбəт ќōблəhум ќōуму нууhиу-вəəсhəəбу ррōсси вəc̃əмууд

The people of Noah denied before them, and [so did] the people of Rass and Thamud,

وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٲنُ لُوطٍ١٣

вə'əəдуу-вəфир'əуну вəихвəəну люют̣

and ‘Ad, Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,

وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ‌ۚ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ١٤

вəəсhəəбуль-əйкəти вəќōуму туббə', куллюн кəз̃з̃əбə ррусулə фəhəќќō вə'иид

and the inhabitants of Aykah and the people of Tubbac. Each [of them] impugned the apostles, and so My threat became due [against them].

أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ‌ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ١٥

əфə'əйиинəə биль-хōльќиль-əувəль, бəль hум фии лəбсимм-мин хōльќин джəдиид

Have We been exhausted by the first creation? No, they are in doubt about a new creation.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۥ‌ۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ١٦

вəлəќōд хōлəќнəəль-иӈсəəнə вəнə'лəму мəə тувəсвису биhи нəфсуh, вəнəhну əќрōбу илəйhи мин həблиль-вəриид

Certainly We have created man and We know to what his soul tempts him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.

إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ١٧

из̃ йəтəлəќќōōль-мутəлəќќийəəни 'əниль-йəмиини вə'əни шшимəəли ќō'иид

When the twin recorders record [his deeds], seated on the right hand and on the left:

مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ١٨

мəə йəльфиз̃у миӈ-ќōулин ильлəə лəдəйhи рōќиибун 'əтиид

he says no word but that there is a ready observer beside him.

وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ بِٱلْحَقِّ‌ۖ ذَٲلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ١٩

вəджəə'əт сəкрōтуль-мəути биль-həќќ, з̃əəликə мəə куӈтə минhу тəhиид

The throes of death bring the truth: ‘This is what you used to shun!’

وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِ٢٠

вəнуфихō фии ссуур, з̃əəликə йəумуль-вə'иид

And the Trumpet will be blown: ‘This is the promised day.’

وَجَآءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ٢١

вəджəə'əт куллю нəфсимм-мə'əhəə сəə'иќуу-вəшəhиид

Every soul will come accompanied by [two angels], a driver, and a witness:

لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ٢٢

лəќōд куӈтə фии ґōфлəтимм-мин həəз̃əə фəкəшəфнəə 'əӈкə ґит̣ōō'əкə фəбəсōрукəль-йəумə həдиид

[he will be told] ‘You were certainly oblivious of this. We have removed your veil from you, and so today your eyesight is acute.’

وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَـٰذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِيدٌ٢٣

вəќōōлə ќōриинуhу həəз̃əə мəə лəдəййə 'əтиид

Then his companion [angel] will say, ‘This is what is ready with me [of his record of deeds].’

أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ٢٤

əльќийəə фии джəhəннəмə кульлə кəффəəрин 'əниид

[The two angels accompany him will be told,] ‘Cast every obdurate ingrate into hell,

مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ٢٥

мəннəə'ил-ли-ль-хōйри му'тəдимм-мурииб

[every] hinderer of good, transgressor, and skeptic,

ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ٢٦

əльлəз̃ии джə'əлə мə'ə ллаhи илəəhəн əəхōрō фəəльќийəəhу фииль-'əз̃əəби шшəдиид

who had set up another god along with Allah and cast him into the severe punishment.’

قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَـٰلِۭ بَعِيدٍ٢٧

ќōōлə ќōриинуhу рōббəнəə мəə əт̣ґōйтуhу вəлəəкиӈ-кəəнə фии дōлəəлимм-бə'иид

His companion [devil] will say, ‘Our Lord! I did not incite him to rebel [against You], but he was [himself] in extreme error.’

قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُواْ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِ٢٨

ќōōлə лəə тəхтəсымуу лəдəййə вəќōд ќōддəмту илəйкумм-биль-вə'иид

He will say, ‘Do not wrangle in My presence, for I had already warned you in advance.

مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۟ بِظَلَّـٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ٢٩

мəə йубəддəлюль-ќōулю лəдəййə вəмəə əнəə биз̃ōльлəəмил-ли-ль-'əбиид

The word [of judgement] is unalterable with Me, and I am not tyrannical to My servants.’

يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ٣٠

йəумə нəќуулю лиджəhəннəмə həли-мтəлəти вəтəќуулю həль мимм-мəзиид

The day when We shall say to hell, ‘Are you full?’ It will say, ‘Is there any more?’

وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ٣١

вəузлифəтиль-джəннəту ли-ль-муттəќиинə ґōйрō бə'иид

And paradise will be brought near for the Godwary, it will not be distant [any more]:

هَـٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ٣٢

həəз̃əə мəə туу'əдуунə ликулли əувəəбин həфииз̃

‘This is what you were promised. [It is] for every penitent and dutiful [servant]

مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ٣٣

мəн хōшийə ррōhмəəнə биль-ґōйби вəджəə'ə биќōльбимм-мунииб

who fears the All-beneficent in secret and comes with a penitent heart.

ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَـٰمٍ‌ۖ ذَٲلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِ٣٤

удхулююhəə бисəлəəм, з̃əəликə йəумуль-хулююд

Enter it in peace! This is the day of immortality.’

لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ٣٥

лəhум-мəə йəшəə'уунə фииhəə вəлəдəйнəə мəзиид

There they will have whatever they wish, and with Us there is yet more.

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُواْ فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ٣٦

вəкəм əhлəкнəə ќōблəhум-миӈ-ќōрнин hум əшəдду минhумм-бəт̣шəн фəнəќќōбуу фииль-билəəди həль мимм-мəhиис

How many generations We have destroyed before them, who were stronger than these, insomuch that they ransacked the towns?! So, is there any escape [from Allah’s punishment]?

إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ٣٧

иннə фии з̃əəликə лəз̃икрōō лимəӈ-кəəнə лəhу ќōльбун əу əльќōō ссəм'ə вəhувə шəhиид

There is indeed an admonition in that for one who has a heart, or gives ear, being attentive.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ٣٨

вəлəќōд хōлəќнəə ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрдō вəмəə бэйнəhумəə фии ситтəти əййəəмиу-вəмəə мəссəнəə мил-люґууб

Certainly We created the heavens and the earth, and whatever is between them, in six days, and any fatigue did not touch Us.

فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ ٱلْغُرُوبِ٣٩

фəəсбир 'əлəə мəə йəќуулююнə вəсəббиh биhəмди рōббикə ќōблə т̣улюю'и шшəмси вəќōблəль-ґурууб

So be patient at what they say, and celebrate the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before the sunset,

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَـٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ٤٠

вəминə льлэйли фəсəббиhhу вəəдбəəрō ссуджууд

and glorify Him through part of the night and after the prostrations.

وَٱسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ ٱلْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ٤١

вəəстəми' йəумə йунəəдиль-мунəəди мимм-мəкəəнин ќōрииб

And be on the alert for the day when the caller calls from a close quarter,

يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ٤٢

йəумə йəсмə'уунə ссōйhəтə биль-həќќ, з̃əəликə йəумуль-хуруудж

the day when they hear the Cry in all truth. That is the day of rising [from the dead].

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا ٱلْمَصِيرُ٤٣

иннəə нəhну нуhйии вəнумииту вəилəйнəəль-мəсыыр

Indeed it is We who give life and bring death, and toward Us is the [final] destination.

يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ٤٤

йəумə тəшəќќōќуль-əрду 'əнhум сирōō'ə, з̃əəликə həшрун 'əлэйнəə йəсиир

The day the earth is split open for [disentombing] them, [they will come out] hastening. That mustering is easy for Us [to carry out].

نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ‌ۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ‌ۖ فَذَكِّرْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ٤٥

нəhну ə'лəму бимəə йəќуулююн, вəмəə əӈтə 'əлэйhимм-биджəббəəр, фəз̃əккир биль-ќур'əəни мəй-йəхōōфу вə'иид

We know well what they say, and you are not there to compel them. So admonish by the Quran those who fear My threat.
