surah016

أَتَىٰٓ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوهُ‌ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ١

əтəə əмру ллаhи фəлəə тəстə'джилююhу субhəəнəhу вəтə'əəлəə 'əммəə йушрикуун

Allah’s edict is coming! So do not seek to hasten it. Immaculate is He and exalted above [having] any partners that they ascribe [to Him].

يُنَزِّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ بِٱلرُّوحِ مِنْ أَمْرِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرُوٓاْ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۟ فَٱتَّقُونِ٢

йунəззилюль-мəлəə'икəтə бир-рууhи мин əмриhи 'əлəə мəй-йəшəə'у мин 'ибəəдиhи əн əӈз̃ируу əннəhу лəə илəəhə ильлəə əнəə фəəттəќуун

He sends down the angels with the spirit of His command to whomever He wishes of His servants: ‘Warn [the people] that there is no god except Me; so be wary of Me.’

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ‌ۚ تَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ٣

хōлəќō ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрдō биль-həќќ, тə'əəлəə 'əммəə йушрикуун

He created the heavens and the earth with consummate wisdom. He is above having any partners that they ascribe [to Him].

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ٤

хōлəќōль-иӈсəəнə мин-нут̣фəтин фəиз̃əə hувə хōсыымумм-мубиин

He created man from a drop of [seminal] fluid, and, behold, he is an open contender!

وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمَ خَلَقَهَا‌ۗ لَكُمْ فِيهَا دِفْءٌ وَمَنَـٰفِعُ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ٥

вəəльəн'əəмə хōлəќōhəə, лəкум фииhəə диф'уу-вəмəнəəфи'у вəминhəə тəкулююн

He created the cattle, in which there is warmth for you and [other] uses, and some of them you eat.

وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا جَمَالٌ حِينَ تُرِيحُونَ وَحِينَ تَسْرَحُونَ٦

вəлəкум фииhəə джəмəəлюн hиинə турииhуунə вəhиинə тəсрōhуун

There is in them a beauty for you when you bring them home for rest and when you drive them forth to pasture.

وَتَحْمِلُ أَثْقَالَكُمْ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍ لَّمْ تَكُونُواْ بَـٰلِغِيهِ إِلَّا بِشِقِّ ٱلْأَنفُسِ‌ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ٧

вəтəhмилю əc̃ќōōлəкум илəə бəлəдиль-лəм тəкуунуу бəəлиґииhи ильлəə бишиќќиль-əӈфус, иннə рōббəкум лəрō'ууфуррōhиим

And they bear your burdens to towns, which you could not reach except by straining yourselves. Indeed your Lord is most kind and merciful.

وَٱلْخَيْلَ وَٱلْبِغَالَ وَٱلْحَمِيرَ لِتَرْكَبُوهَا وَزِينَةً‌ۚ وَيَخْلُقُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ٨

вəəльхōйлə вəəльбиґōōлə вəəльhəмиирō литəркəбууhəə вəзиинəh, вəйəхлюќу мəə лəə тə'лəмуун

And horses, mules and asses, for you to ride them, and for pomp, and He creates what you do not know.

وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ قَصْدُ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَمِنْهَا جَآئِرٌ‌ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَهَدَٮٰكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ٩

вə'əлəə ллаhи ќōсду ссəбиили вəминhəə джəə'ир, вəлəу шəə'ə лəhəдəəкум əджмə'иин

With Allah rests guidance to the straight path, and some of the paths are devious, and had He wished He would have guided you all.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً‌ۖ لَّكُم مِّنْهُ شَرَابٌ وَمِنْهُ شَجَرٌ فِيهِ تُسِيمُونَ١٠

hувə льлəз̃ии əӈзəлə минə ссəмəə'и мəə'ə, лəкум-минhу шəрōōбуу-вəминhу шəджəрун фииhи тусиимуун

It is He who sends down water from the sky: from it you get your drink and with it are [sustained] the plants wherein you pasture your herds.

يُنۢبِتُ لَكُم بِهِ ٱلزَّرْعَ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلنَّخِيلَ وَٱلْأَعْنَـٰبَ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٲتِ‌ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ١١

йумм-биту лəкумм-биhи ззəр'ə вə ззəйтуунə вə ннəхыылə вəəльə'нəəбə вəмиӈ-кулли c̃c̃əмəрōōт, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə'əəйəтəл-лиќōумий-йəтəфəккəруун

For you He makes the crops grow with it and olives, date palms, vines, and fruits of all kinds. There is indeed a sign in that for a people who reflect.

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ‌ۖ وَٱلنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَٲتُۢ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ‌ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ١٢

вəсəххōрō лəкуму льлэйлə вə ннəhəəрō вə шшəмсə вəəльќōмəр, вə ннуджууму мусəххōрōōтумм-биəмриh, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə'əəйəəтил-лиќōумий-йə'ќилююн

He disposed the night and the day for you, and the sun, the moon and the stars are disposed by His command. There are indeed signs in that for people who exercise their reason.

وَمَا ذَرَأَ لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٲنُهُۥٓ‌ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَذَّكَّرُونَ١٣

вəмəə з̃əрōə лəкум фииль-əрды мухтəлифəн əльвəəнуh, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə'əəйəтəл-лиќōумий-йəз̃з̃əккəруун

And [He disposed for your benefit] whatever He has created for you in the earth of diverse hues—there is indeed a sign in that for a people who take admonition.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ ٱلْبَحْرَ لِتَأْكُلُواْ مِنْهُ لَحْمًا طَرِيًّا وَتَسْتَخْرِجُواْ مِنْهُ حِلْيَةً تَلْبَسُونَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلْفُلْكَ مَوَاخِرَ فِيهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُواْ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ١٤

вəhувə льлəз̃ии сəххōрōль-бəhрō литəкулюю минhу лəhмəн т̣ōриййəу-вəтəстəхриджуу минhу hильйəтəн тəльбəсуунəhəə вəтəрōōль-фулькə мəвəəхырō фииhи вəлитəбтəґуу миӈ-фəдлиhи вəлə'əльлəкум тəшкуруун

It is He who disposed the sea [for your benefit] that you may eat from it fresh meat, and obtain from it ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships plowing through it, that you may seek His bounty and that you may give thanks.

وَأَلْقَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٲسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَأَنْهَـٰرًا وَسُبُلاً لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ١٥

вəəльќōō фииль-əрды рōвəəсийə əӈ-тəмиидə бикум вəəнhəəрōу-вəсубулəль-лə'əльлəкум тəhтəдуун

He cast firm mountains in the earth lest it should shake with you, and [made] streams and ways, so that you may be guided

وَعَلَـٰمَـٰتٍ‌ۚ وَبِٱلنَّجْمِ هُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ١٦

вə'əлəəмəəт, вəбин-нəджми hум йəhтəдуун

—and the landmarks [as well]—and by the stars they are guided.

أَفَمَن يَخْلُقُ كَمَن لَّا يَخْلُقُ‌ۗ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ١٧

əфəмəй-йəхлюќу кəмəль-лəə йəхлюќ, əфəлəə тəз̃əккəруун

Is He who creates like one who does not create? Will you not then take admonition?

وَإِن تَعُدُّواْ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ‌ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ١٨

вəиӈ-тə'уддуу ни'мəтə ллаhи лəə туhсууhəə, иннə ллаhə лəґōфууруррōhиим

If you enumerate Allah’s blessings, you will not be able to count them. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful,

وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ١٩

вə ллаhу йə'лəму мəə тусирруунə вəмəə ту'линуун

and Allah knows whatever you hide and whatever you disclose.

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْــًٔا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ٢٠

вəль-лəз̃иинə йəд'уунə миӈ-дууни льлəhи лəə йəхлюќуунə шэй'əу-вəhум йухлəќуун

Those whom they invoke besides Allah do not create anything and are themselves created.

أَمْوَٲتٌ غَيْرُ أَحْيَآءٍ‌ۖ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُونَ٢١

əмвəəтун ґōйру əhйəə', вəмəə йəш'уруунə əййəəнə йуб'əc̃уун

They are dead and lifeless, and are not aware when they will be resurrected.

إِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٲحِدٌ‌ۚ فَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْأَخِرَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مُّنكِرَةٌ وَهُم مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ٢٢

илəəhукум илəəhуу-вəəhид, фəəль-лəз̃иинə лəə йу'минуунə биль-'əəхырōти ќулююбуhум-муӈкирōтуу-вəhум-мустəкбируун

Your God is the One God. Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts are in denial [of the truth], and they are arrogant.

لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ‌ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ٢٣

лəə джəрōмə əннə ллаhə йə'лəму мəə йусирруунə вəмəə йу'линуун, иннəhу лəə йуhиббуль-мустəкбириин

Undoubtedly, Allah knows whatever they hide and whatever they disclose. Indeed, He does not like the arrogant.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُم مَّاذَآ أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمْ‌ۙ قَالُوٓاْ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ٢٤

вəиз̃əə ќиилə лəhум-мəəз̃əə əӈзəлə рōббукум ќōōлюю əсəəт̣ыыруль-əувəлиин

When they are asked, ‘What is it that your Lord has sent down?’ They say, ‘Myths of the ancients,’

لِيَحْمِلُوٓاْ أَوْزَارَهُمْ كَامِلَةً يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ‌ۙ وَمِنْ أَوْزَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُضِلُّونَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ‌ۗ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ٢٥

лийəhмилюю əузəəрōhум кəəмилəтəй-йəумəль-ќийəəмəти вəмин əузəəри льлəз̃иинə йудыллююнəhумм-биґōйри 'ильм, əлəə сəə'ə мəə йəзируун

[with the result] that they will bear the full weight of their own burden on the Day of Resurrection, along with part of the burden of those whom they mislead without any knowledge. Behold! Evil is what they bear!

قَدْ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَى ٱللَّهُ بُنْيَـٰنَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّقْفُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَأَتَـٰهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ٢٦

ќōд мəкəрō льлəз̃иинə миӈ-ќōблиhим фəəтəə ллаhу бунйəəнəhум-минəль-ќōвəə'иди фəхōррō 'əлэйhиму ссəќфу миӈ-фəуќиhим вəəтəəhумуль-'əз̃əəбу мин həйc̃у лəə йəш'уруун

Those who were before them [had also] schemed. Then Allah came at their edifice from the foundations and the roof fell down upon them from above and the punishment overtook them whence they were not aware.

ثُمَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ يُخْزِيهِمْ وَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآءِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تُشَـٰٓقُّونَ فِيهِمْ‌ۚ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلْعِلْمَ إِنَّ ٱلْخِزْىَ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَٱلسُّوٓءَ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ٢٧

c̃уммə йəумəль-ќийəəмəти йухзииhим вəйəќуулю əйнə шурōкəə'ийə льлəз̃иинə куӈтум тушəəќќуунə фииhим, ќōōлə льлəз̃иинə уутууль-'ильмə иннəль-хызйəль-йəумə вə ссуу'ə 'əлəəль-кəəфириин

Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace them, and say, ‘Where are My “partners” for whose sake you used to defy [Allah]?’ Those who were given knowledge will say, ‘Indeed today disgrace and distress pursue the faithless.’

ٱلَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّـٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ ظَالِمِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ‌ۖ فَأَلْقَوُاْ ٱلسَّلَمَ مَا كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ مِن سُوٓءِۭ‌ۚ بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ٢٨

əль-лəз̃иинə тəтəвəффəəhумуль-мəлəə'икəту з̃ōōлимии əӈфусиhим, фəəльќōву ссəлəмə мəə куннəə нə'мəлю миӈ-суу', бəлəə иннə ллаhə 'əлиимумм-бимəə куӈтум тə'мəлююн

—Those whom the angels take away while they were wronging themselves. Thereat they submit: ‘We were not doing any evil!’ ‘Yes, [the angels say to them,] indeed Allah knows best what you used to do!

فَٱدْخُلُوٓاْ أَبْوَٲبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا‌ۖ فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ٢٩

фəəдхулюю əбвəəбə джəhəннəмə хōōлидиинə фииhəə, фəлəби'сə мəc̃вəəль-мутəкəббириин

Enter the gates of hell to remain in it [forever]. Evil is the [final] abode of the arrogant.’

وَقِيلَ لِلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْاْ مَاذَآ أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمْ‌ۚ قَالُواْ خَيْرًا‌ۗ لِّلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُواْ فِى هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌ‌ۚ وَلَدَارُ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ‌ۚ وَلَنِعْمَ دَارُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ٣٠

вəќиилə лильлəз̃иинə-ттəќōу мəəз̃əə əӈзəлə рōббукум, ќōōлюю хōйрō, лильлəз̃иинə əhсəнуу фии həəз̃иhи ддунйəə həсəнəh, вəлəдəəруль-'əəхырōти хōйр, вəлəни'мə дəəруль-муттəќиин

But those who were Godwary will be asked, ‘What is it that your Lord has sent down?’ They will say, ‘Good.’ For those who do good in this world there will be a good [reward], and the abode of the Hereafter is better, and the abode of the Godwary is surely excellent:

جَنَّـٰتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ‌ۖ لَهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ‌ۚ كَذَٲلِكَ يَجْزِى ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ٣١

джəннəəту 'əдний-йəдхулююнəhəə тəджрии миӈ-тəhтиhəəль-əнhəəр, лəhум фииhəə мəə йəшəə'уун, кəз̃əəликə йəджзии ллаhуль-муттəќиин

the Gardens of Eden, which they will enter, with streams running in them. There they will have whatever they wish, and thus does Allah reward the Godwary

ٱلَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّـٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ طَيِّبِينَ‌ۙ يَقُولُونَ سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱدْخُلُواْ ٱلْجَنَّةَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ٣٢

əль-лəз̃иинə тəтəвəффəəhумуль-мəлəə'икəту т̣ōййибиинə йəќуулююнə сəлəəмун 'əлэйкуму-дхулююль-джəннəтə бимəə куӈтум тə'мəлююн

—those whom the angels take away while they are pure. They say [to them], ‘Peace be to you! Enter paradise because of what you used to do.’

هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِىَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ‌ۚ كَذَٲلِكَ فَعَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ‌ۚ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَـٰكِن كَانُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ٣٣

həль йəӈз̃уруунə ильлəə əӈ-тəтийəhумуль-мəлəə'икəту əу йəтийə əмру рōббик, кəз̃əəликə фə'əлə льлəз̃иинə миӈ-ќōблиhим, вəмəə з̃ōлəмəhуму ллаhу вəлəəкиӈ-кəəнуу əӈфусəhум йəз̃лимуун

Do they not consider that the angels may come to them, or your Lord’s edict may come? Those who were before them had acted likewise; Allah did not wrong them, but they used to wrong themselves.

فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔـاتُ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ٣٤

фəəсōōбəhум сəййи'əəту мəə 'əмилюю вəhəəќō биhим-мəə кəəнуу биhи йəстəhзи'уун

So the evils of what they had earned visited them, and they were besieged by what they used to deride.

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا عَبَدْنَا مِن دُونِهِۦ مِن شَىْءٍ نَّحْنُ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِن دُونِهِۦ مِن شَىْءٍ‌ۚ كَذَٲلِكَ فَعَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ‌ۚ فَهَلْ عَلَى ٱلرُّسُلِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ٣٥

вəќōōлə льлəз̃иинə əшрōкуу лəу шəə'ə ллаhу мəə 'əбəднəə миӈ-дууниhи миӈ-шэй'ин-ннəhну вəлəə əəбəə'унəə вəлəə həррōмнəə миӈ-дууниhи миӈ-шэй', кəз̃əəликə фə'əлə льлəз̃иинə миӈ-ќōблиhим, фəhəль 'əлəə ррусули ильлəəль-бəлəəґуль-мубиин

The polytheists say, ‘Had Allah wished, we would not have worshiped anything besides Him—neither we, nor our fathers—nor we would have forbidden anything without His sanction.’ Those who were before them had acted likewise. Is the apostles’ duty anything but to communicate in clear terms?

وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولاً أَنِ ٱعْبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱجْتَنِبُواْ ٱلطَّـٰغُوتَ‌ۖ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ هَدَى ٱللَّهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةُ‌ۚ فَسِيرُواْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٣٦

вəлəќōд бə'əc̃нəə фии кулли уммəтир-рōсуулəн əни-'будуу ллаhə вəəджтəнибуу т̣т̣ōōґуут, фəминhум-мəн həдəə ллаhу вəминhум-мəн həќќōт 'əлэйhи ддōлəəлəh, фəсиируу фииль-əрды фəəӈз̃уруу кəйфə кəəнə 'əəќибəтуль-мукəз̃з̃ибиин

Certainly We raised an apostle in every nation [to preach:] ‘Worship Allah, and shun fake deities.’ Among them were some whom Allah guided, and among them were some who deserved to be in error. So travel over the land and observe how was the fate of the deniers.

إِن تَحْرِصْ عَلَىٰ هُدَٮٰهُمْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى مَن يُضِلُّ‌ۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّـٰصِرِينَ٣٧

иӈ-тəhрис 'əлəə hудəəhум фəиннə ллаhə лəə йəhдии мəй-йудылль, вəмəə лəhум-мин-нəəсыриин

Even if you are eager for them to be guided, indeed Allah does not guide those who mislead [others], and they will have no helpers.

وَأَقْسَمُواْ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ‌ۙ لَا يَبْعَثُ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَمُوتُ‌ۚ بَلَىٰ وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّا وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ٣٨

вəəќсəмуу биль-лəhи джəhдə əймəəниhим лəə йəб'əc̃у ллаhу мəй-йəмуут, бəлəə вə'дəн 'əлэйhи həќќōу-вəлəəкиннə əкc̃əрō ннəəси лəə йə'лəмуун

They swear by Allah with solemn oaths that Allah will not resurrect those who die. Yes indeed [He will], it is a promise binding upon Him, but most people do not know,

لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ كَـٰذِبِينَ٣٩

лийубəййинə лəhуму льлəз̃ии йəхтəлифуунə фииhи вəлийə'лəмə льлəз̃иинə кəфəруу əннəhум кəəнуу кəəз̃ибиин

so that He may clarify for them what they differ about, and that the faithless may know that they were liars.

إِنَّمَا قَوْلُنَا لِشَىْءٍ إِذَآ أَرَدْنَـٰهُ أَن نَّقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ٤٠

иннəмəə ќōулюнəə лишəй'ин из̃əə əрōднəəhу əн-нəќуулə лəhу куӈ-фəйəкуун

All that We say to a thing, when We will it, is to say to it ‘Be!’ and it is.

وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ فِى ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُواْ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً‌ۖ وَلَأَجْرُ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ‌ۚ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ٤١

вəль-лəз̃иинə həəджəруу фии ллаhи мимм-бə'ди мəə з̃улимуу лəнубəуви'əннəhум фии ддунйəə həсəнəh, вəлəəджруль-'əəхырōти əкбəр, лəу кəəнуу йə'лəмуун

Those who migrate for the sake of Allah after they have been wronged, We will surely settle them in a good place in the world, and the reward of the Hereafter is surely greater, had they known

ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُواْ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ٤٢

əль-лəз̃иинə сōбəруу вə'əлəə рōббиhим йəтəвəккəлююн

—those who are patient and who put their trust in their Lord.

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالاً نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ‌ۚ فَسْــَٔلُوٓاْ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ٤٣

вəмəə əрсəльнəə миӈ-ќōбликə ильлəə риджəəлəн-ннууhии илəйhим, фəəсəлюю əhлə з̃з̃икри иӈ-куӈтум лəə тə'лəмуун

We did not send [any apostles] before you except as men to whom We revealed. Ask the People of the Reminder if you do not know.

بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ وَٱلزُّبُرِ‌ۗ وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ٤٤

биль-бэййинəəти вə ззубур, вəəӈзəльнəə илəйкə з̃з̃икрō литубəййинə лин-нəəси мəə нуззилə илəйhим вəлə'əльлəhум йəтəфəккəруун

[We sent them] with manifest proofs and scriptures. We have sent down the reminder to you so that you may clarify for the people that which has been sent down to them, so that they may reflect.

أَفَأَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَكَرُواْ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔـاتِ أَن يَخْسِفَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ٤٥

əфəəминə льлəз̃иинə мəкəруу ссəййи'əəти əй-йəхсифə ллаhу биhимуль-əрдō əу йəтийəhумуль-'əз̃əəбу мин həйc̃у лəə йəш'уруун

Do those who devise evil schemes feel secure that Allah will not make the earth swallow them, or the punishment will not overtake them whence they are not aware?

أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ فِى تَقَلُّبِهِمْ فَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ٤٦

əу йəхуз̃əhум фии тəќōллюбиhим фəмəə hумм-биму'джизиин

Or that He will not seize them in the midst of their bustle, whereupon they will not be able to frustrate [Him]?

أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ عَلَىٰ تَخَوُّفٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ٤٧

əу йəхуз̃əhум 'əлəə тəхōувуфин фəиннə рōббəкум лəрō'ууфуррōhиим

Or that He will not visit them with attrition? Indeed your Lord is most kind and merciful.

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ إِلَىٰ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍ يَتَفَيَّؤُاْ ظِلَـٰلُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَٱلشَّمَآئِلِ سُجَّدًا لِّلَّهِ وَهُمْ دَٲخِرُونَ٤٨

əвəлəм йəрōу илəə мəə хōлəќō ллаhу миӈ-шэй'ий-йəтəфəййəу з̃ылəəлюhу 'əниль-йəмиини вə шшəмəə'или суджджəдəл-ли-Ллəhи вəhум дəəхыруун

Have they not regarded that whatever thing Allah has created casts its shadow to the right and to the left, prostrating to Allah in utter humility?

وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن دَآبَّةٍ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ٤٩

вəли-Ллəhи йəсджуду мəə фии ссəмəəвəəти вəмəə фииль-əрды миӈ-дəəббəтиу-вəəльмəлəə'икəту вəhум лəə йəстəкбируун

To Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, including animals and angels, and they are not arrogant.

يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ٥٠

йəхōōфуунə рōббəhум-миӈ-фəуќиhим вəйəф'əлююнə мəə йу'мəруун

They fear their Lord above them, and do what they are commanded.

وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓاْ إِلَـٰهَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ‌ۖ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٲحِدٌ‌ۖ فَإِيَّـٰىَ فَٱرْهَبُونِ٥١

вəќōōлə ллаhу лəə тəттəхыз̃уу илəəhəйни-c̃нəйн, иннəмəə hувə илəəhуу-вəəhид, фəиййəəйə фəəрhəбуун

Allah has said, ‘Do not worship two gods. Indeed He is the One God, so be in awe of Me [alone].’

وَلَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَهُ ٱلدِّينُ وَاصِبًا‌ۚ أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَتَّقُونَ٥٢

вəлəhу мəə фии ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрды вəлəhу ддиину вəəсыбə, əфəґōйрō ллаhи тəттəќуун

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him belongs the enduring religion. Will you, then, be wary of other than Allah?

وَمَا بِكُم مِّن نِّعْمَةٍ فَمِنَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۖ ثُمَّ إِذَا مَسَّكُمُ ٱلضُّرُّ فَإِلَيْهِ تَجْــَٔرُونَ٥٣

вəмəə бикум-мин-ни'мəтин фəминə ллаh, c̃уммə из̃əə мəссəкуму ддурру фəилəйhи тəджəруун

Whatever blessing you have is from Allah, and when a distress befalls you, you make entreaties to Him.

ثُمَّ إِذَا كَشَفَ ٱلضُّرَّ عَنكُمْ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنكُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ٥٤

c̃уммə из̃əə кəшəфə ддуррō 'əӈкум из̃əə фəрииќумм-миӈкумм-бирōббиhим йушрикуун

Then, when He removes the distress from you—behold, a part of them ascribe partners to their Lord,

لِيَكْفُرُواْ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ‌ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُواْ‌ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ٥٥

лийəкфуруу бимəə əəтəйнəəhум, фəтəмəттə'уу, фəсəуфə тə'лəмуун

being unthankful for what We have given them. So let them enjoy. Soon they shall know!

وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ نَصِيبًا مِّمَّا رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ‌ۗ تَٱللَّهِ لَتُسْــَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمْ تَفْتَرُونَ٥٦

вəйəдж'əлююнə лимəə лəə йə'лəмуунə нəсыыбəмм-миммəə рōзəќнəəhум, тə ллаhи лəтусəлюннə 'əммəə куӈтум тəфтəруун

They assign a share in what We have provided them to what they do not know. By Allah, you will surely be questioned concerning what you used to fabricate.

وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ ٱلْبَنَـٰتِ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ‌ۙ وَلَهُم مَّا يَشْتَهُونَ٥٧

вəйəдж'əлююнə ли-Ллəhиль-бəнəəти субhəəнəhу вəлəhум-мəə йəштəhуун

And they attribute daughters to Allah—immaculate is He—while they will have what they desire!

وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِٱلْأُنثَىٰ ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُۥ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ٥٨

вəиз̃əə бушширō əhəдуhумм-биль-уӈc̃əə з̃ōльлə вəджhуhу мусвəддəу-вəhувə кəз̃ыым

When one of them is brought the news of a female [newborn], his face becomes darkened, and he chokes with suppressed agony.

يَتَوَٲرَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ مِن سُوٓءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهِۦٓ‌ۚ أَيُمْسِكُهُۥ عَلَىٰ هُونٍ أَمْ يَدُسُّهُۥ فِى ٱلتُّرَابِ‌ۗ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ٥٩

йəтəвəəрōō минəль-ќōуми миӈ-суу'и мəə бушширō биh, əйумсикуhу 'əлəə hуунин əм йəдуссуhу фии ттурōōб, əлəə сəə'ə мəə йəhкумуун

He hides from the people out of distress at the news he has been brought: shall he retain it in humiliation, or bury it in the ground! Behold! Evil is the judgement that they make.

لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْأَخِرَةِ مَثَلُ ٱلسَّوْءِ‌ۖ وَلِلَّهِ ٱلْمَثَلُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ‌ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ٦٠

лильлəз̃иинə лəə йу'минуунə биль-'əəхырōти мəc̃əлю ссəу', вəли-Ллəhиль-мəc̃əлюль-ə'лəə, вəhувəль-'əзиизуль-həкиим

There is an evil description for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, and the loftiest description belongs to Allah, and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise.

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِم مَّا تَرَكَ عَلَيْهَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ وَلَـٰكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى‌ۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَــْٔخِرُونَ سَاعَةً‌ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ٦١

вəлəу йу'əəхыз̃у ллаhу ннəəсə биз̃ульмиhим-мəə тəрōкə 'əлэйhəə миӈ-дəəббəтиу-вəлəəкий-йу'əххыруhум илəə əджəлимм-мусəммəн, фəиз̃əə джəə'ə əджəлюhум лəə йəстəхыруунə сəə'əh, вəлəə йəстəќдимуун

Were Allah to take mankind to task for their wrongdoing, He would not leave any living being upon it. But He respites them until a specified time; so when their time comes they shall not defer it by a single hour nor shall they advance it.

وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ مَا يَكْرَهُونَ وَتَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُهُمُ ٱلْكَذِبَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ‌ۖ لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَأَنَّهُم مُّفْرَطُونَ٦٢

вəйəдж'əлююнə ли-Ллəhи мəə йəкрōhуунə вəтəсыфу əльсинəтуhумуль-кəз̃ибə əннə лəhумуль-hуснəə, лəə джəрōмə əннə лəhуму ннəəрō вəəннəhум-муфрōт̣уун

They attribute to Allah what they dislike [for themselves], and their tongues assert the lie that the best of rewards [in the Hereafter] will be theirs. Undoubtedly, the Fire shall be their lot and they will be foremost [in entering it].

تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ٦٣

тə ллаhи лəќōд əрсəльнəə илəə умəмимм-миӈ-ќōбликə фəзəййəнə лəhуму шшэйт̣ōōну ə'мəəлəhум фəhувə вəлиййуhумуль-йəумə вəлəhум 'əз̃əəбун əлиим

By Allah, We have certainly sent [apostles] to nations before you. But Satan made their deeds seem decorous to them. So he is their master today and there is a painful punishment for them.

وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى ٱخْتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ‌ۙ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ٦٤

вəмəə əӈзəльнəə 'əлэйкəль-китəəбə ильлəə литубəййинə лəhуму льлəз̃ии-хтəлəфуу фииhи вəhудəу-вəрōhмəтəл-лиќōумий-йу'минуун

We did not send down the Book to you except [for the purpose] that you may clarify for them what they differ about, and as a guidance and mercy for a people who have faith.

وَٱللَّهُ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ‌ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ٦٥

вə ллаhу əӈзəлə минə ссəмəə'и мəə'əн фəəhйəə биhиль-əрдō бə'дə мəутиhəə, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə'əəйəтəл-лиќōумий-йəсмə'уун

Allah sends down water from the sky with which He revives the earth after its death. There is indeed a sign in that for a people who listen.

وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ لَعِبْرَةً‌ۖ نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِى بُطُونِهِۦ مِنۢ بَيْنِ فَرْثٍ وَدَمٍ لَّبَنًا خَالِصًا سَآئِغًا لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ٦٦

вəиннə лəкум фииль-əн'əəми лə'ибрōh, нусќиикум-миммəə фии бут̣ууниhи мимм-бэйни фəрc̃иу-вəдəмиль-лəбəнəн хōōлисōн сəə'иґōл-лиш-шəəрибиин

There is indeed a lesson for you in the cattle: We give you a drink pleasant to those who drink, pure milk, which is in their bellies, between [intestinal] waste and blood.

وَمِن ثَمَرَٲتِ ٱلنَّخِيلِ وَٱلْأَعْنَـٰبِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْهُ سَكَرًا وَرِزْقًا حَسَنًا‌ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ٦٧

вəмиӈ-c̃əмəрōōти ннəхыыли вəəльə'нəəби тəттəхыз̃уунə минhу сəкəрōу-вəризќōн həсəнə, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə'əəйəтəл-лиќōумий-йə'ќилююн

From the fruits of date palms and vines you draw wine and goodly provision. There are indeed signs in that for people who exercise their reason.

وَأَوْحَىٰ رَبُّكَ إِلَى ٱلنَّحْلِ أَنِ ٱتَّخِذِى مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا وَمِنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ وَمِمَّا يَعْرِشُونَ٦٨

вəəуhəə рōббукə илəə ннəhли əни-ттəхыз̃ии минəль-джибəəли буйуутəу-вəминə шшəджəри вəмиммəə йə'ришуун

And your Lord inspired the bee [saying]: ‘Make your home in the mountains, and on the trees and the trellises that they erect.

ثُمَّ كُلِى مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٲتِ فَٱسْلُكِى سُبُلَ رَبِّكِ ذُلُلاً‌ۚ يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بُطُونِهَا شَرَابٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٲنُهُۥ فِيهِ شِفَآءٌ لِّلنَّاسِ‌ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ٦٩

c̃уммə кулии миӈ-кулли c̃c̃əмəрōōти фəəслюкии субулə рōббики з̃улюлə, йəхруджу мимм-бут̣ууниhəə шəрōōбумм-мухтəлифун əльвəəнуhу фииhи шифəə'ул-лин-нəəс, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə'əəйəтəл-лиќōумий-йəтəфəккəруун

Then eat from every [kind of] fruit and follow meekly the ways of your Lord.’ There issues from its belly a juice of diverse hues, in which there is a cure for the people. There is indeed a sign in that for a people who reflect.

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَفَّـٰكُمْ‌ۚ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَىْ لَا يَعْلَمَ بَعْدَ عِلْمٍ شَيْــًٔا‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ قَدِيرٌ٧٠

вə ллаhу хōлəќōкум c̃уммə йəтəвəффəəкум, вəмиӈкум-мəй-йурōдду илəə əрз̃əлиль-'умури ликəй лəə йə'лəмə бə'дə 'ильмин шэй'ə, иннə ллаhə 'əлиимун ќōдиир

Allah has created you, then He takes you away, and there are some among you who are relegated to the nethermost age so that he knows nothing after [having possessed] some knowledge. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-powerful.

وَٱللَّهُ فَضَّلَ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فِى ٱلرِّزْقِ‌ۚ فَمَا ٱلَّذِينَ فُضِّلُواْ بِرَآدِّى رِزْقِهِمْ عَلَىٰ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِيهِ سَوَآءٌ‌ۚ أَفَبِنِعْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ٧١

вə ллаhу фəддōлə бə'дōкум 'əлəə бə'дын фии рризќ, фəмəə льлəз̃иинə фуддылюю бирōōддии ризќиhим 'əлəə мəə мəлəкəт əймəəнуhум фəhум фииhи сəвəə', əфəбини'мəти льлəhи йəджhəдуун

Allah has granted some of you an advantage over others in [respect of] provision. Those who have been granted an advantage do not give over their provision to their slaves so that they become equal in its respect. What, do they deny the blessing of Allah?

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٲجًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٲجِكُم بَنِينَ وَحَفَدَةً وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ‌ۚ أَفَبِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ هُمْ يَكْفُرُونَ٧٢

вə ллаhу джə'əлə лəкум-мин əӈфусикум əзвəəджəу-вəджə'əлə лəкум-мин əзвəəджикумм-бəниинə вəhəфəдəтəу-вəрōзəќōкум-минə т̣т̣ōййибəəт, əфəбиль-бəəт̣ыли йу'минуунə вəбини'мəти льлəhи hум йəкфуруун

Allah made for you mates from your own selves and appointed for you children and grandchildren from your mates, and We provided you with all the good things. What, do they believe in falsehood while they deny the blessing of Allah?

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ رِزْقًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ شَيْــًٔا وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ٧٣

вəйə'будуунə миӈ-дууни льлəhи мəə лəə йəмлику лəhум ризќōмм-минə ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрды шэй'əу-вəлəə йəстəт̣ыы'уун

They worship besides Allah what has no power to provide them with anything from the heavens and the earth, nor are they capable [of anything].

فَلَا تَضْرِبُواْ لِلَّهِ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ٧٤

фəлəə тəдрибуу ли-Ллəhиль-əмc̃əəль, иннə ллаhə йə'лəму вəəӈтум лəə тə'лəмуун

So do not draw comparisons for Allah: indeed Allah knows and you do not know.

ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلاً عَبْدًا مَّمْلُوكًا لَّا يَقْدِرُ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ وَمَن رَّزَقْنَـٰهُ مِنَّا رِزْقًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ يُنفِقُ مِنْهُ سِرًّا وَجَهْرًا‌ۖ هَلْ يَسْتَوُۥنَ‌ۚ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ‌ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ٧٥

дōрōбə ллаhу мəc̃əлəн 'əбдəмм-мəмлююкəль-лəə йəќдиру 'əлəə шэй'иу-вəмəр-рōзəќнəəhу миннəə ризќōн həсəнəн фəhувə йуӈфиќу минhу сиррōу-вəджəhрō, həль йəстəвуун, əль-həмду лильлəh, бəль əкc̃əруhум лəə йə'лəмуун

Allah draws a parable: a slave owned [by his master] who has no power over anything, and another one [a free man] whom We have provided a goodly provision and who spends out of it secretly and openly. Are they equal? All praise belongs to Allah. But most of them do not know.

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلاً رَّجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَآ أَبْكَمُ لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ وَهُوَ كَلٌّ عَلَىٰ مَوْلَـٰهُ أَيْنَمَا يُوَجِّههُّ لَا يَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ‌ۖ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى هُوَ وَمَن يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْعَدْلِ‌ۙ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٲطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ٧٦

вəдōрōбə ллаhу мəc̃əлəр-рōджулəйни əhəдуhумəə əбкəму лəə йəќдиру 'əлəə шэй'иу-вəhувə кəллюн 'əлəə мəулəəhу əйнəмəə йувəджджиhhу лəə йəти бихōйр, həль йəстəвии hувə вəмəй-йəмуру биль-'əдли вəhувə 'əлəə сырōōт̣ымм-мустəќиим

Allah draws [another] parable: Two men, one of whom is dumb, having no power over anything and who is a liability to his master: wherever he directs him he does not bring any good. Is he equal to someone who enjoins justice and is [steady] on a straight path?

وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ‌ۚ وَمَآ أَمْرُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ إِلَّا كَلَمْحِ ٱلْبَصَرِ أَوْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ٧٧

вəли-Ллəhи ґōйбу ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрд, вəмəə əмру ссəə'əти ильлəə кəлəмhиль-бəсōри əу hувə əќрōб, иннə ллаhə 'əлəə кулли шэй'ин ќōдиир

To Allah belongs the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. The matter of the Hour is just like the twinkling of an eye, or [even] swifter. Indeed Allah has power over all things.

وَٱللَّهُ أَخْرَجَكُم مِّنۢ بُطُونِ أُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ شَيْــًٔا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ وَٱلْأَفْــِٔدَةَ‌ۙ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ٧٨

вə ллаhу əхрōджəкум-мимм-бут̣ууни уммəhəəтикум лəə тə'лəмуунə шэй'əу-вəджə'əлə лəкуму ссəм'ə вəəльəбсōōрō вəəльəф'идəтə лə'əльлəкум тəшкуруун

Allah has brought you forth from the bellies of your mothers while you did not know anything. He made for you hearing, eyesight, and hearts so that you may give thanks.

أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ إِلَى ٱلطَّيْرِ مُسَخَّرَٲتٍ فِى جَوِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ‌ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ٧٩

əлəм йəрōу илəə т̣т̣ōйри мусəххōрōōтин фии джəуви ссəмəə'и мəə йумсикуhуннə ильлəə ллаh, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə'əəйəəтил-лиќōумий-йу'минуун

Have they not regarded the birds disposed in the air of the sky: no one sustains them except Allah. There are indeed signs in that for a people who have faith.

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنۢ بُيُوتِكُمْ سَكَنًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّن جُلُودِ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ بُيُوتًا تَسْتَخِفُّونَهَا يَوْمَ ظَعْنِكُمْ وَيَوْمَ إِقَامَتِكُمْ‌ۙ وَمِنْ أَصْوَافِهَا وَأَوْبَارِهَا وَأَشْعَارِهَآ أَثَـٰثًا وَمَتَـٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍ٨٠

вə ллаhу джə'əлə лəкум-мимм-буйуутикум сəкəнəу-вəджə'əлə лəкум-миӈ-джулююдиль-əн'əəми буйуутəн тəстəхыффуунəhəə йəумə з̃ō'никум вəйəумə иќōōмəтикум вəмин əсвəəфиhəə вəəубəəриhəə вəəш'əəриhəə əc̃əəc̃əу-вəмəтəə'əн илəə hиин

It is Allah who has made your homes as a place of rest for you and He made for you homes out of the skins of the cattle which you find portable on the day of your shifting and on the day of your halt, and out of their wool, fur and hair [He has appointed] furniture and wares [enduring] for a while.

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّمَّا خَلَقَ ظِلَـٰلاً وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ أَكْنَـٰنًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ سَرَٲبِيلَ تَقِيكُمُ ٱلْحَرَّ وَسَرَٲبِيلَ تَقِيكُم بَأْسَكُمْ‌ۚ كَذَٲلِكَ يُتِمُّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْلِمُونَ٨١

вə ллаhу джə'əлə лəкум-миммəə хōлəќō з̃ылəəлəу-вəджə'əлə лəкум-минəль-джибəəли əкнəəнəу-вəджə'əлə лəкум сəрōōбиилə тəќиикумуль-həррō вəсəрōōбиилə тəќиикумм-бəсəкум, кəз̃əəликə йутимму ни'мəтəhу 'əлэйкум лə'əльлəкум туслимуун

It is Allah who made for you the shade from what He has created, and made for you retreats in the mountains, and made for you garments that protect you from heat, and garments that protect you from your [mutual] violence. That is how He completes His blessing upon you so that you may submit [to Him].

فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ٨٢

фəиӈ-тəвəльлəу фəиннəмəə 'əлэйкəль-бəлəəґуль-мубиин

But if they turn their backs [on you], your duty is only to communicate in clear terms.

يَعْرِفُونَ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنكِرُونَهَا وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ٨٣

йə'рифуунə ни'мəтə ллаhи c̃уммə йуӈкируунəhəə вəəкc̃əруhумуль-кəəфируун

They recognize the blessing of Allah and then deny it, and most of them are faithless.

وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا ثُمَّ لَا يُؤْذَنُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ٨٤

вəйəумə нəб'əc̃у миӈ-кулли уммəтин шəhиидəн c̃уммə лəə йу'з̃əну лильлəз̃иинə кəфəруу вəлəə hум йустə'тəбуун

The day We shall raise a witness from every nation, the faithless will not be permitted [to speak], nor will they be asked to propitiate [Allah].

وَإِذَا رَءَا ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ٱلْعَذَابَ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ٨٥

вəиз̃əə рōəə льлəз̃иинə з̃ōлəмууль-'əз̃əəбə фəлəə йухōффəфу 'əнhум вəлəə hум йуӈз̃ōруун

And when the wrongdoers sight the punishment, it shall not be lightened for them, nor will they be granted any respite.

وَإِذَا رَءَا ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ شُرَكَآءَهُمْ قَالُواْ رَبَّنَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُرَكَآؤُنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كُنَّا نَدْعُواْ مِن دُونِكَ‌ۖ فَأَلْقَوْاْ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ إِنَّكُمْ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ٨٦

вəиз̃əə рōəə льлəз̃иинə əшрōкуу шурōкəə'əhум ќōōлюю рōббəнəə həə'улəə'и шурōкəə'унəə льлəз̃иинə куннəə нəд'уу миӈ-дууник, фəəльќōу илəйhимуль-ќōулə иннəкум лəкəəз̃ибуун

When the polytheists sight their partners, they will say, ‘Our Lord! These are our partners whom we used to invoke besides You.’ But they will retort to them, ‘You are indeed liars!’

وَأَلْقَوْاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلسَّلَمَ‌ۖ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ٨٧

вəəльќōу илəə ллаhи йəумə'из̃ин ссəлəм, вəдōльлə 'əнhум-мəə кəəнуу йəфтəруун

They will submit to Allah on that day, and what they used to fabricate will forsake them.

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ زِدْنَـٰهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ ٱلْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يُفْسِدُونَ٨٨

əль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу вəсōддуу 'əӈ-сəбиили льлəhи зиднəəhум 'əз̃əəбəн фəуќōль-'əз̃əəби бимəə кəəнуу йуфсидуун

Those who are faithless and bar from the way of Allah—We shall add punishment to their punishment because of the corruption they used to cause.

وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ فِى كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ‌ۖ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ شَهِيدًا عَلَىٰ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ‌ۚ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ تِبْيَـٰنًا لِّكُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ٨٩

вəйəумə нəб'əc̃у фии кулли уммəтин шəhиидəн 'əлэйhим-мин əӈфусиhим, вəджи'нəə бикə шəhиидəн 'əлəə həə'улəə', вəнəззəльнəə 'əлэйкəль-китəəбə тибйəəнəл-ликулли шэй'иу-вəhудəу-вəрōhмəтəу-вəбушрōō ли-ль-муслимиин

The day We raise in every nation a witness against them from among themselves, We shall bring you as a witness against these. We have sent down the Book to you as a clarification of all things and as guidance, mercy and good news for the Muslims.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ وَإِيتَآىِٕ ذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَيَنْهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلْفَحْشَآءِ وَٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱلْبَغْىِ‌ۚ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ٩٠

иннə ллаhə йəмуру биль-'əдли вəəльиhсəəни вəиитəə'и з̃ииль-ќурбəə вəйəнhəə 'əниль-фəhшəə'и вəəльмуӈкəри вəəльбəґй, йə'из̃укум лə'əльлəкум тəз̃əккəруун

Indeed Allah enjoins justice and kindness, and generosity towards relatives, and He forbids indecency, wrongdoing, and aggression. He advises you, so that you may take admonition.

وَأَوْفُواْ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا عَـٰهَدتُّمْ وَلَا تَنقُضُواْ ٱلْأَيْمَـٰنَ بَعْدَ تَوْكِيدِهَا وَقَدْ جَعَلْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَيْكُمْ كَفِيلاً‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ٩١

вəəуфуу би'əhди льлəhи из̃əə 'əəhəттум вəлəə тəӈќудууль-əймəəнə бə'дə тəукиидиhəə вəќōд джə'əльтуму ллаhə 'əлэйкум кəфиилə, иннə ллаhə йə'лəму мəə тəф'əлююн

Fulfill Allah’s covenant when you pledge, and do not break [your] oaths, after pledging them solemnly and having made Allah a witness over yourselves. Indeed Allah knows what you do.

وَلَا تَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّتِى نَقَضَتْ غَزْلَهَا مِنۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنكَـٰثًا تَتَّخِذُونَ أَيْمَـٰنَكُمْ دَخَلاَۢ بَيْنَكُمْ أَن تَكُونَ أُمَّةٌ هِىَ أَرْبَىٰ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ‌ۚ إِنَّمَا يَبْلُوكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦ‌ۚ وَلَيُبَيِّنَنَّ لَكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ مَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ٩٢

вəлəə тəкуунуу кəəльлəтии нəќōдōт ґōзлəhəə мимм-бə'ди ќуувəтин əӈкəəc̃əн тəттəхыз̃уунə əймəəнəкум дəхōлəмм-бэйнəкум əӈ-тəкуунə уммəтун hийə əрбəə мин уммəh, иннəмəə йəблююкуму ллаhу биh, вəлəйубəййинəннə лəкум йəумəль-ќийəəмəти мəə куӈтум фииhи тəхтəлифуун

Do not be like her who would undo her yarn, breaking it up after [spinning it to] strength, by making your oaths a means of [mutual] deceit among yourselves, so that one community may become more affluent than another community. Indeed Allah tests you thereby, and He will surely clarify for you on the Day of Resurrection what you used to differ about.

وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَٲحِدَةً وَلَـٰكِن يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ‌ۚ وَلَتُسْــَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ٩٣

вəлəу шəə'ə ллаhу лəджə'əлəкум уммəтəу-вəəhидəтəу-вəлəəкий-йудыллю мəй-йəшəə'у вəйəhдии мəй-йəшəə', вəлəтусəлюннə 'əммəə куӈтум тə'мəлююн

Had Allah wished, He would have made you one community, but He leads astray whomever He wishes and guides whomever He wishes, and you will surely be questioned concerning what you used to do.

وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوٓاْ أَيْمَـٰنَكُمْ دَخَلاَۢ بَيْنَكُمْ فَتَزِلَّ قَدَمُۢ بَعْدَ ثُبُوتِهَا وَتَذُوقُواْ ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِمَا صَدَدتُّمْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ‌ۖ وَلَكُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ٩٤

вəлəə тəттəхыз̃уу əймəəнəкум дəхōлəмм-бэйнəкум фəтəзильлə ќōдəмумм-бə'дə c̃убуутиhəə вəтəз̃ууќуу ссуу'ə бимəə сōдəттум 'əӈ-сəбиили льлəh, вəлəкум 'əз̃əəбун 'əз̃ыым

Do not make your oaths a means of [mutual] deceit among yourselves, lest feet should stumble after being steady and [lest] you suffer ill for barring from the way of Allah and face a great punishment.

وَلَا تَشْتَرُواْ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلاً‌ۚ إِنَّمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ٩٥

вəлəə тəштəруу би'əhди льлəhи c̃əмəнəн ќōлиилə, иннəмəə 'иӈдə ллаhи hувə хōйруль-лəкум иӈ-куӈтум тə'лəмуун

Do not sell Allah’s covenants for a paltry gain. Indeed, what is with Allah is better for you, should you know.

مَا عِندَكُمْ يَنفَدُ‌ۖ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ بَاقٍ‌ۗ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوٓاْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ٩٦

мəə 'иӈдəкум йəӈфəд, вəмəə 'иӈдə ллаhи бəəќ, вəлəнəджзийəннə льлəз̃иинə сōбəруу əджрōhумм-биəhсəни мəə кəəнуу йə'мəлююн

That which is with you will be spent [and gone], but what is with Allah shall last, and We will surely pay the patient their reward by the best of what they used to do.

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُۥ حَيَوٲةً طَيِّبَةً‌ۖ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ٩٧

мəн 'əмилə сōōлиhəмм-миӈ-з̃əкəрин əу уӈc̃əə вəhувə му'минун фəлəнуhйийəннəhу həйəəтəн т̣ōййибəh, вəлəнəджзийəннəhум əджрōhумм-биəhсəни мəə кəəнуу йə'мəлююн

Whoever acts righteously, [whether] male or female, should he be faithful, We shall revive him with a good life and pay them their reward by the best of what they used to do.

فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ فَٱسْتَعِذْ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ٩٨

фəиз̃əə ќōрōтəль-ќур'əəнə фəəстə'из̃ биль-лəhи минə шшэйт̣ōōни ррōджиим

When you recite the Quran, seek the protection of Allah against the outcast Satan.

إِنَّهُۥ لَيْسَ لَهُۥ سُلْطَـٰنٌ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ٩٩

иннəhу лэйсə лəhу сульт̣ōōнун 'əлəə льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əлəə рōббиhим йəтəвəккəлююн

Indeed he does not have any authority over those who have faith and put their trust in their Lord.

إِنَّمَا سُلْطَـٰنُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَوَلَّوْنَهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِهِۦ مُشْرِكُونَ١٠٠

иннəмəə сульт̣ōōнуhу 'əлəə льлəз̃иинə йəтəвəльлəунəhу вəль-лəз̃иинə hумм-биhи мушрикуун

His authority is only over those who befriend him and those who make him a partner [of Allah].

وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَآ ءَايَةً مَّكَانَ ءَايَةٍ‌ۙ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُفْتَرِۭ‌ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ١٠١

вəиз̃əə бəддəльнəə əəйəтəмм-мəкəəнə əəйəтин вə ллаhу ə'лəму бимəə йунəззилю ќōōлюю иннəмəə əӈтə муфтəр, бəль əкc̃əруhум лəə йə'лəмуун

When We change a sign for another in its stead—and Allah knows best what He sends down—they say, ‘You are indeed a fabricator.’ Indeed, most of them do not know.

قُلْ نَزَّلَهُۥ رُوحُ ٱلْقُدُسِ مِن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ لِيُثَبِّتَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ١٠٢

ќуль нəззəлəhу рууhуль-ќудуси мир-рōббикə биль-həќќи лийуc̃əббитə льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вəhудəу-вəбушрōō ли-ль-муслимиин

Say, the Holy Spirit has brought it down duly from your Lord to fortify those who have faith and as guidance and good news for the Muslims.

وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّمَا يُعَلِّمُهُۥ بَشَرٌ‌ۗ لِّسَانُ ٱلَّذِى يُلْحِدُونَ إِلَيْهِ أَعْجَمِىٌّ وَهَـٰذَا لِسَانٌ عَرَبِىٌّ مُّبِينٌ١٠٣

вəлəќōд нə'лəму əннəhум йəќуулююнə иннəмəə йу'əллимуhу бəшəр, лисəəну льлəз̃ии йульhидуунə илəйhи ə'джəмиййуу-вəhəəз̃əə лисəəнун 'əрōбиййумм-мубиин

We certainly know that they say, ‘It is only a human that instructs him.’ The language of him to whom they refer is non-Arabic, while this is a clear Arabic language.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَهْدِيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ١٠٤

иннəль-лəз̃иинə лəə йу'минуунə би'əəйəəти льлəhи лəə йəhдииhиму ллаhу вəлəhум 'əз̃əəбун əлиим

Indeed those who do not believe in the signs of Allah—Allah shall not guide them and there is a painful punishment for them.

إِنَّمَا يَفْتَرِى ٱلْكَذِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ‌ۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَ١٠٥

иннəмəə йəфтəрииль-кəз̃ибə льлəз̃иинə лəə йу'минуунə би'əəйəəти льлəh, вə-уулəə'икə hумуль-кəəз̃ибуун

Only those fabricate lies who do not believe in the signs of Allah, and it is they who are the liars.

مَن كَفَرَ بِٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِيمَـٰنِهِۦٓ إِلَّا مَنْ أُكْرِهَ وَقَلْبُهُۥ مُطْمَئِنُّۢ بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ وَلَـٰكِن مَّن شَرَحَ بِٱلْكُفْرِ صَدْرًا فَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ١٠٦

мəӈ-кəфəрō биль-лəhи мимм-бə'ди иимəəниhи ильлəə мəн укриhə вəќōльбуhу мут̣мə'иннумм-биль-иимəəни вəлəəкимм-мəӈ-шəрōhə биль-куфри сōдрōн фə'əлэйhим ґōдōбумм-минə ллаhи вəлəhум 'əз̃əəбун 'əз̃ыым

Excepting someone who is compelled [to recant his faith] while his heart is at rest in it, those who disbelieve in Allah after [affirming] their faith and open up their breasts to unfaith, Allah’s wrath shall be upon them and there is a great punishment for them.

ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱسْتَحَبُّواْ ٱلْحَيَوٲةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا عَلَى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ١٠٧

з̃əəликə биəннəhуму-стəhəббууль-həйəəтə ддунйəə 'əлəəль-'əəхырōти вəəннə ллаhə лəə йəhдииль-ќōумəль-кəəфириин

That, because they preferred the life of the world to the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the faithless lot.

أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ‌ۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰفِلُونَ١٠٨

уулəə'икə льлəз̃иинə т̣ōбə'ə ллаhу 'əлəə ќулююбиhим вəсəм'иhим вəəбсōōриhим, вə-уулəə'икə hумуль-ґōōфилююн

They are the ones Allah has set a seal on their hearts, their hearing and their sight, and it is they who are the heedless.

لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَ١٠٩

лəə джəрōмə əннəhум фииль-'əəхырōти hумуль-хōōсируун

Undoubtedly, they are the ones who will be the losers in the Hereafter.

ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا فُتِنُواْ ثُمَّ جَـٰهَدُواْ وَصَبَرُوٓاْ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ١١٠

c̃уммə иннə рōббəкə лильлəз̃иинə həəджəруу мимм-бə'ди мəə футинуу c̃уммə джəəhəдуу вəсōбəруу иннə рōббəкə мимм-бə'диhəə лəґōфууруррōhиим

Thereafter your Lord will indeed be forgiving and merciful to those who migrated after they were persecuted, waged jihad and remained steadfast.

يَوْمَ تَأْتِى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ تُجَـٰدِلُ عَن نَّفْسِهَا وَتُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ١١١

йəумə тəтии куллю нəфсин туджəəдилю 'əн-нəфсиhəə вəтувəффəə куллю нəфсимм-мəə 'əмилəт вəhум лəə йуз̃лəмуун

The day [will come] when every soul will come pleading for itself and every soul will be recompensed fully for what it has done, and they will not be wronged.

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلاً قَرْيَةً كَانَتْ ءَامِنَةً مُّطْمَئِنَّةً يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَذَٲقَهَا ٱللَّهُ لِبَاسَ ٱلْجُوعِ وَٱلْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصْنَعُونَ١١٢

вəдōрōбə ллаhу мəc̃əлəн ќōрйəтəн кəəнəт əəминəтəмм-мут̣мə'иннəтəй-йəтииhəə ризќуhəə рōґōдəмм-миӈ-кулли мəкəəнин фəкəфəрōт биəн'уми льлəhи фəəз̃əəќōhəə ллаhу либəəсəль-джуу'и вəəльхōуфи бимəə кəəнуу йəснə'уун

Allah draws a parable: There was a town secure and peaceful, its provision coming abundantly from every place. But it was ungrateful toward Allah’s blessings. So Allah made it taste hunger and fear because of what they used to do.

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَهُمْ ظَـٰلِمُونَ١١٣

вəлəќōд джəə'əhум рōсуулюмм-минhум фəкəз̃з̃əбууhу фəəхōз̃əhумуль-'əз̃əəбу вəhум з̃ōōлимуун

Certainly there had come to them an apostle from among themselves, but they impugned him. So the punishment seized them while they were doing wrong.

فَكُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَـٰلاً طَيِّبًا وَٱشْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ١١٤

фəкулюю миммəə рōзəќōкуму ллаhу həлəəлəн т̣ōййибəу-вəəшкуруу ни'мəтə ллаhи иӈ-куӈтум иййəəhу тə'будуун

So eat out of what Allah has provided you as lawful and good, and give thanks for Allah’s blessing, if it is Him that you worship.

إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةَ وَٱلدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ‌ۖ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ١١٥

иннəмəə həррōмə 'əлэйкумуль-мəйтəтə вə ддəмə вəлəhмəль-хыӈзиири вəмəə уhильлə лиґōйри льлəhи биh, фəмəни-дт̣уррō ґōйрō бəəґиу-вəлəə 'əəдин фəиннə ллаhə ґōфууруррōhиим

He has forbidden you only carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been offered to other than Allah. But if someone is compelled [to eat any of that], without being rebellious or aggressive, indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ ٱلْكَذِبَ هَـٰذَا حَلَـٰلٌ وَهَـٰذَا حَرَامٌ لِّتَفْتَرُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ١١٦

вəлəə тəќуулюю лимəə тəсыфу əльсинəтукумуль-кəз̃ибə həəз̃əə həлəəлюу-вəhəəз̃əə həрōōмул-литəфтəруу 'əлəə ллаhиль-кəз̃иб, иннəль-лəз̃иинə йəфтəруунə 'əлəə ллаhиль-кəз̃ибə лəə йуфлиhуун

Do not say, asserting falsely with your tongues, ‘This is lawful, and that is unlawful,’ attributing lies to Allah. Indeed those who attribute lies to Allah will not be felicitous.

مَتَـٰعٌ قَلِيلٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ١١٧

мəтəə'ун ќōлиилюу-вəлəhум 'əз̃əəбун əлиим

[Their share of the present life is] a trifling enjoyment, and there will be a painful punishment for them.

وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ حَرَّمْنَا مَا قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ‌ۖ وَمَا ظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن كَانُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ١١٨

вə'əлəə льлəз̃иинə həəдуу həррōмнəə мəə ќōсōснəə 'əлэйкə миӈ-ќōбль, вəмəə з̃ōлəмнəəhум вəлəəкиӈ-кəəнуу əӈфусəhум йəз̃лимуун

We forbade to the Jews what We have recounted to you earlier, and We did not wrong them, but they used to wrong themselves.

ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ عَمِلُواْ ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِجَهَـٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابُواْ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٲلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوٓاْ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ١١٩

c̃уммə иннə рōббəкə лильлəз̃иинə 'əмилюю ссуу'ə биджəhəəлəтин c̃уммə тəəбуу мимм-бə'ди з̃əəликə вəəслəhуу иннə рōббəкə мимм-бə'диhəə лəґōфууруррōhиим

Moreover, your Lord will indeed be forgiving and merciful to those who repent after they having committed evil out of ignorance and reform themselves.

إِنَّ إِبْرَٲهِيمَ كَانَ أُمَّةً قَانِتًا لِّلَّهِ حَنِيفًا وَلَمْ يَكُ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ١٢٠

иннə ибрōōhиимə кəəнə уммəтəн ќōōнитəл-ли-Ллəhи həниифəу-вəлəм йəку минəль-мушрикиин

Indeed Abraham was a nation [all by himself], obedient to Allah, a Hanif, and he was not a polytheist.

شَاكِرًا لِّأَنْعُمِهِ‌ۚ ٱجْتَبَـٰهُ وَهَدَٮٰهُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٲطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ١٢١

шəəкирōл-лиəн'умиh, иджтəбəəhу вəhəдəəhу илəə сырōōт̣ымм-мустəќиим

Grateful [as he was] for His blessings, He chose him and guided him to a straight path.

وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً‌ۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ١٢٢

вə'əəтəйнəəhу фии ддунйəə həсəнəh, вəиннəhу фииль-'əəхырōти лəминə ссōōлиhиин

We gave him good in this world, and in the Hereafter he will indeed be among the Righteous.

ثُمَّ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ أَنِ ٱتَّبِعْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٲهِيمَ حَنِيفًا‌ۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ١٢٣

c̃уммə əуhəйнəə илəйкə əни-ттəби' мильлəтə ибрōōhиимə həниифə, вəмəə кəəнə минəль-мушрикиин

Thereafter We revealed to you [saying], ‘Follow the creed of Abraham, a Hanif, who was not a polytheist.’

إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ ٱلسَّبْتُ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخْتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ‌ۚ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ١٢٤

иннəмəə джу'илə ссəбту 'əлəə льлəз̃иинə-хтəлəфуу фииh, вəиннə рōббəкə лəйəhкуму бэйнəhум йəумəль-ќийəəмəти фиимəə кəəнуу фииhи йəхтəлифуун

The Sabbath was only prescribed for those who differed about it. Your Lord will indeed judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that about which they differ.

ٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ‌ۖ وَجَـٰدِلْهُم بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ‌ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ‌ۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ١٢٥

уд'у илəə сəбиили рōббикə биль-hикмəти вəəльмəу'из̃ōтиль-həсəнəh, вəджəəдильhумм-бильлəтии hийə əhсəн, иннə рōббəкə hувə ə'лəму бимəӈ-дōльлə 'əӈ-сəбиилиh, вəhувə ə'лəму биль-муhтəдиин

Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good advice and dispute with them in a manner that is best. Indeed your Lord knows best those who stray from His way, and He knows best those who are guided.

وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُواْ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُم بِهِۦ‌ۖ وَلَئِن صَبَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لِّلصَّـٰبِرِينَ١٢٦

вəин 'əəќōбтум фə'əəќибуу бимиc̃ли мəə 'ууќибтумм-биh, вəлə'иӈ-сōбəртум лəhувə хōйрул-лис-сōōбириин

Should you retaliate, retaliate with the like of what you have been made to suffer, but if you are patient that is surely better for the steadfast.

وَٱصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ‌ۚ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُ فِى ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ١٢٧

вəəсбир вəмəə сōбрукə ильлəə биль-лəh, вəлəə тəhзəн 'əлэйhим вəлəə тəку фии дōйќимм-миммəə йəмкуруун

So be steadfast, and you cannot be steadfast except with Allah [’s help]. And do not grieve for them, nor be upset by their guile.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَواْ وَّٱلَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ١٢٨

иннə ллаhə мə'ə льлəз̃иинə-ттəќōу-вəль-лəз̃иинə hум-муhсинуун

Indeed Allah is with those who are Godwary and those who are virtuous.
