يسٓ١

Йа, син.

Ya Seen!

وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ٢

вəəльќур'əəниль-həкиим

By the Wise Quran,

إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ٣

иннəкə лəминəль-мурсəлиин

you are indeed one of the apostles,

عَلَىٰ صِرَٲطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ٤

'əлəə сырōōт̣ымм-мустəќиим

on a straight path.

تَنزِيلَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ٥

тəӈзиилəль-'əзиизи ррōhиим

[It is a scripture] sent down gradually from the All-mighty, the All-merciful

لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ أُنذِرَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَـٰفِلُونَ٦

литуӈз̃ирō ќōумəмм-мəə уӈз̃ирō əəбəə'уhум фəhум ґōōфилююн

that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, so they are oblivious.

لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ٧

лəќōд həќќōль-ќōулю 'əлəə əкc̃əриhим фəhум лəə йу'минуун

The word has certainly become due against most of them, so they will not have faith.

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِىٓ أَعْنَـٰقِهِمْ أَغْلَـٰلاً فَهِىَ إِلَى ٱلْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ٨

иннəə джə'əльнəə фии ə'нəəќиhим əґлəəлəн фəhийə илəəль-əз̃ќōōни фəhум-муќмəhуун

Indeed We have put iron collars around their necks, which are up to the chins, so their heads are upturned.

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَـٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ٩

вəджə'əльнəə мимм-бэйни əйдииhим сəддəу-вəмин хōльфиhим сəддəн фəəґшəйнəəhум фəhум лəə йубсыруун

And We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, then We have blind-folded them, so they do not see.

وَسَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ١٠

вəсəвəə'ун 'əлэйhим ə'əӈз̃əртəhум əм лəм туӈз̃ирhум лəə йу'минуун

It is the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not have faith.

إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَخَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ١١

иннəмəə туӈз̃иру мəни-ттəбə'ə з̃з̃икрō вəхōшийə ррōhмəəнə биль-ґōйб, фəбəшширhу бимəґфирōтиу-вəəджрин кəриим

You can only warn someone who follows the Reminder and fears the All-beneficent in secret; so give him the good news of forgiveness and a noble reward.

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمْۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ١٢

иннəə нəhну нуhйииль-мəутəə вəнəктубу мəə ќōддəмуу вə'əəc̃əəрōhум, вəкульлə шэй'ин əhсōйнəəhу фии имəəмимм-мубиин

Indeed it is We who revive the dead and write what they have sent ahead and their effects [which they left behind], and We have figured everything in a manifest Imam.

وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلاً أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَآءَهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ١٣

вəəдриб лəhум-мəc̃əлəн əсhəəбəль-ќōрйəти из̃ джəə'əhəəль-мурсəлююн

Cite for them the example of the inhabitants of the town when the apostles came to it.

إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ١٤

из̃ əрсəльнəə илəйhиму-c̃нəйни фəкəз̃з̃əбууhумəə фə'əззəзнəə биc̃əəлиc̃ин фəќōōлюю иннəə илəйкум-мурсəлююн

When We sent to them two [apostles], they impugned both of them. Then We reinforced them with a third, and they said, ‘We have indeed been sent to you.’

قَالُواْ مَآ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ١٥

ќōōлюю мəə əӈтум ильлəə бəшəрумм-миc̃люнəə вəмəə əӈзəлə ррōhмəəну миӈ-шэй'ин ин əӈтум ильлəə тəкз̃ибуун

They said, ‘You are no other than human beings like us, and the All-beneficent has not sent down anything, and you are only lying.’

قَالُواْ رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ١٦

ќōōлюю рōббунəə йə'лəму иннəə илəйкум лəмурсəлююн

They said, ‘Our Lord knows that we have indeed been sent to you,

وَمَا عَلَيْنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ١٧

вəмəə 'əлэйнəə ильлəəль-бəлəəґуль-мубиин

and our duty is only to communicate in clear terms.’

قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهُواْ لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ١٨

ќōōлюю иннəə тəт̣ōййəрнəə бикум, лə'иль-лəм тəӈтəhуу лəнəрджумəннəкум вəлəйəмəссəннəкум-миннəə 'əз̃əəбун əлиим

They said, ‘Indeed we take you for a bad omen. If you do not desist we will stone you, and surely a painful punishment will visit you from us.’

قَالُواْ طَـٰٓئِرُكُم مَّعَكُمْۚ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُمۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ١٩

ќōōлюю т̣ōō'ирукум-мə'əкум, ə'иӈ-з̃уккиртум, бəль əӈтум ќōумумм-мусрифуун

They said, ‘Your bad omens attend you. What! If you are admonished.... Indeed, you are an unrestrained lot.’

وَجَآءَ مِنْ أَقْصَا ٱلْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱتَّبِعُواْ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ٢٠

вəджəə'ə мин əќсōōль-мəдиинəти рōджулюй-йəс'əə ќōōлə йəə ќōуми-ттəби'ууль-мурсəлиин

There came a man hurrying from the city outskirts. He said, ‘O my people! Follow the apostles!

ٱتَّبِعُواْ مَن لَّا يَسْــَٔلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ٢١

иттəби'уу мəль-лəə йəсəлюкум əджрōу-вəhум-муhтəдуун

Follow them who do not ask you any reward and they are rightly guided.

وَمَا لِىَ لَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ٢٢

вəмəə лийə лəə ə'буду льлəз̃ии фəт̣ōрōнии вəилəйhи турджə'уун

Why should I not worship Him who has originated me, and to whom you shall be brought back?

ءَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّى شَفَـٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْــًٔا وَلَا يُنقِذُونِ٢٣

əəттəхыз̃у миӈ-дууниhи əəлиhəтəн ий-йуридни ррōhмəəну бидурриль-лəə туґни 'əннии шəфəə'əтуhум шэй'əу-вəлəə йуӈќиз̃уун

Shall I take gods besides Him? If the All-beneficent desired to cause me any distress, their intercession will not avail me in any way, nor will they rescue me.

إِنِّىٓ إِذًا لَّفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ٢٤

иннии из̃əль-лəфии дōлəəлимм-мубиин

Indeed, then I would be in manifest error.

إِنِّىٓ ءَامَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَٱسْمَعُونِ٢٥

иннии əəмəӈту бирōббикум фəəсмə'уун

Indeed I have faith in your Lord, so listen to me.’

قِيلَ ٱدْخُلِ ٱلْجَنَّةَۖ قَالَ يَـٰلَيْتَ قَوْمِى يَعْلَمُونَ٢٦

ќиилə-дхулиль-джəннəh, ќōōлə йəə лэйтə ќōумии йə'лəмуун

He was told, ‘Enter paradise!’ He said, ‘Alas! Had my people only known

بِمَا غَفَرَ لِى رَبِّى وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ٢٧

бимəə ґōфəрō лии рōббии вəджə'əлəнии минəль-мукрōмиин

for what my Lord forgave me and made me one of the honoured ones!’

وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِن جُندٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ٢٨

вəмəə əӈзəльнəə 'əлəə ќōумиhи мимм-бə'диhи миӈ-джуӈдимм-минə ссəмəə'и вəмəə куннəə муӈзилиин

After him We did not send down on his people a host from the sky, nor We would have sent down.

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٲحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَـٰمِدُونَ٢٩

иӈ-кəəнəт ильлəə сōйhəтəу-вəəhидəтəн фəиз̃əə hум хōōмидуун

It was but a single Cry, and, behold, they were stilled [like burnt ashes]!

يَـٰحَسْرَةً عَلَى ٱلْعِبَادِ‌ۚ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ٣٠

йəə həсрōтəн 'əлəəль-'ибəəд, мəə йəтииhим-мир-рōсуулин ильлəə кəəнуу биhи йəстəhзи'уун

How regrettable of the servants! There did not come to them any apostle but that they used to deride him.

أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ٣١

əлəм йəрōу кəм əhлəкнəə ќōблəhум-минəль-ќурууни əннəhум илəйhим лəə йəрджи'уун

Have they not regarded how many generations We have destroyed before them who will not come back to them?

وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ٣٢

вəиӈ-куллюль-лəммəə джəмии'уль-лəдəйнəə муhдōруун

And all of them will indeed be presented before Us.

وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَـٰهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ٣٣

вə'əəйəтуль-лəhумуль-əрдуль-мəйтəту əhйəйнəəhəə вəəхрōджнəə минhəə həббəн фəминhу йəкулююн

A sign for them is the dead earth, which We revive and bring forth grain out of it, so they eat of it.

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّـٰتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَـٰبٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْعُيُونِ٣٤

вəджə'əльнəə фииhəə джəннəəтимм-мин-нəхыылиу-вəə'нəəбиу-вəфəджджəрнəə фииhəə минəль-'уйуун

We make in it orchards of date palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth in it,

لِيَأْكُلُواْ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ‌ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ٣٥

лийəкулюю миӈ-c̃əмəриhи вəмəə 'əмилəтhу əйдииhим, əфəлəə йəшкуруун

so that they may eat of its fruit and what their hands have cultivated. Will they not then give thanks?

سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٲجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ٣٦

субhəəнə льлəз̃ии хōлəќōль-əзвəəджə кульлəhəə миммəə тумм-битуль-əрду вəмин əӈфусиhим вəмиммəə лəə йə'лəмуун

Immaculate is He who has created all the kinds of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and of what they do not know.

وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ٣٧

вə'əəйəтуль-лəhуму льлэйлю нəслəху минhу ннəhəəрō фəиз̃əə hум-муз̃лимуун

A sign for them is the night, which We strip of daylight, and, behold, they find themselves in the dark!

وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ٣٨

вə шшəмсу тəджрии лимустəќōрриль-лəhəə, з̃əəликə тəќдиируль-'əзиизиль-'əлиим

The sun runs on to its place of rest: That is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing.

وَٱلْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَـٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلْعُرْجُونِ ٱلْقَدِيمِ٣٩

вəəльќōмəрō ќōддəрнəəhу мəнəəзилə həттəə 'əəдə кəəль'урджууниль-ќōдиим

As for the moon, We have ordained its phases, until it becomes like an old palm leaf.

لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ‌ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ٤٠

лəə шшəмсу йəмм-бəґии лəhəə əӈ-тудрикəль-ќōмəрō вəлəə льлэйлю сəəбиќу ннəhəəр, вəкуллюн фии фəлəкий-йəсбəhуун

Neither it behooves the sun to overtake the moon, nor may the night outrun the day, and each swims in an orbit.

وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ٤١

вə'əəйəтуль-лəhум əннəə həмəльнəə з̃урриййəтəhум фииль-фулькиль-мəшhуун

A sign for them is that We carried their progeny in the laden ship,

وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِۦ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ٤٢

вəхōлəќнəə лəhум-мимм-миc̃лиhи мəə йəркəбуун

and We have created for them what is similar to it, which they ride.

وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ٤٣

вəин-нəшə нуґриќhум фəлəə сōриихō лəhум вəлəə hум йуӈќōз̃уун

And if We like We drown them, whereat they have no one to call for help, nor are they rescued

إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَمَتَـٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍ٤٤

ильлəə рōhмəтəмм-миннəə вəмəтəə'əн илəə hиин

except by a mercy from Us and for an enjoyment until some time.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُواْ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ٤٥

вəиз̃əə ќиилə лəhуму-ттəќуу мəə бэйнə əйдиикум вəмəə хōльфəкум лə'əльлəкум турhəмуун

And when they are told, ‘Beware of that which is before you and that which is behind you, so that you may receive [His] mercy…’

وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ مِّنْ ءَايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُواْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ٤٦

вəмəə тəтииhим-мин əəйəтимм-мин əəйəəти рōббиhим ильлəə кəəнуу 'əнhəə му'ридыын

There does not come to them any sign from among the signs of their Lord but that they have been disregarding it.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنفِقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَنُطْعِمُ مَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ٤٧

вəиз̃əə ќиилə лəhум əӈфиќуу миммəə рōзəќōкуму ллаhу ќōōлə льлəз̃иинə кəфəруу лильлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу əнут̣'иму мəль-лəу йəшəə'у ллаhу əт̣'əмəhу ин əӈтум ильлəə фии дōлəəлимм-мубиин

When they are told, ‘Spend out of what Allah has provided you,’ the faithless say to the faithful, ‘Shall we feed [someone] whom Allah would feed, if He wished? You are only in manifest error.’

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ٤٨

вəйəќуулююнə мəтəə həəз̃əəль-вə'ду иӈ-куӈтум сōōдиќиин

And they say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, should you be truthful?’

مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٲحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ٤٩

мəə йəӈз̃уруунə ильлəə сōйhəтəу-вəəhидəтəн тəхуз̃уhум вəhум йəхыссымуун

They do not await but a single Cry that will seize them as they wrangle.

فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ٥٠

фəлəə йəстəт̣ыы'уунə тəусыйəтəу-вəлəə илəə əhлиhим йəрджи'уун

Then they will not be able to make any will, nor will they return to their folks.

وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَنسِلُونَ٥١

вəнуфихō фии ссуури фəиз̃əə hум-минəль-əдждəəc̃и илəə рōббиhим йəӈсилююн

And when the Trumpet is blown, behold, there they will be, scrambling towards their Lord from their graves!

قَالُواْ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا مَنۢ بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَاۜ‌ۗ هَـٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَصَدَقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ٥٢

ќōōлюю йəə вəйлəнəə мəмм-бə'əc̃əнəə мимм-мəрќōдинəə, həəз̃əə мəə вə'əдə ррōhмəəну вəсōдəќōль-мурсəлююн

They will say, ‘Woe to us! Who raised us from our place of sleep?’ ‘This is what the All-beneficent had promised, and the apostles had spoken the truth!’

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٲحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ٥٣

иӈ-кəəнəт ильлəə сōйhəтəу-вəəhидəтəн фəиз̃əə hум джəмии'уль-лəдəйнəə муhдōруун

It will be but a single Cry, and, behold, they will all be presented before Us!

فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْــًٔا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ٥٤

фəəльйəумə лəə туз̃лəму нəфсун шэй'əу-вəлəə туджзəунə ильлəə мəə куӈтум тə'мəлююн

‘Today no soul will be wronged in the least, nor will you be requited except for what you used to do.’

إِنَّ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى شُغُلٍ فَـٰكِهُونَ٥٥

иннə əсhəəбəль-джəннəтиль-йəумə фии шуґулин фəəкиhуун

Indeed today the inhabitants of paradise rejoice in their engagements

هُمْ وَأَزْوَٲجُهُمْ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ مُتَّكِــُٔونَ٥٦

hум вəəзвəəджуhум фии з̃ылəəлин 'əлəəль-əрōō'ики муттəки'уун

—they and their mates, reclining on couches in the shades.

لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ٥٧

лəhум фииhəə фəəкиhəтуу-вəлəhум-мəə йəддə'уун

There they have fruits, and they have whatever they want.

سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْلاً مِّن رَّبٍّ رَّحِيمٍ٥٨

сəлəəмун ќōулəмм-мир-рōббиррōhиим

‘Peace!’—a watchword from the all-merciful Lord.

وَٱمْتَـٰزُواْ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ٥٩

вəəмтəəзууль-йəумə əййуhəəль-муджримуун

And ‘Get apart today, you guilty ones!’

أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَـٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُواْ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ‌ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ٦٠

əлəм ə'həд илəйкум йəə бəнии əəдəмə əль-лəə тə'будуу шшэйт̣ōōн, иннəhу лəкум 'əдуувумм-мубиин

‘Did I not exhort you, O children of Adam, saying, “Do not worship Satan. He is indeed your manifest enemy.

وَأَنِ ٱعْبُدُونِى‌ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٲطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ٦١

вəəни-'будууний, həəз̃əə сырōōт̣умм-мустəќиим

Worship Me. That is a straight path”?

وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلاًّ كَثِيرًا‌ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُواْ تَعْقِلُونَ٦٢

вəлəќōд əдōльлə миӈкум джибильлəн кəc̃иирō, əфəлəм тəкуунуу тə'ќилююн

Certainly, he has led astray many of your generations. Have you not exercised your reason?

هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ٦٣

həəз̃иhи джəhəннəму льлəтии куӈтум туу'əдуун

This is the hell you had been promised!

ٱصْلَوْهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ٦٤

ислəуhəəль-йəумə бимəə куӈтум тəкфуруун

Enter it today, because of what you used to deny.

ٱلْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفْوَٲهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ٦٥

əль-йəумə нəхтиму 'əлəə əфвəəhиhим вəтукəллимунəə əйдииhим вəтəшhəду əрджулюhумм-бимəə кəəнуу йəксибуун

Today We shall seal their mouths, and their hands shall speak to Us, and their feet shall bear witness concerning what they used to earn.’

وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَٱسْتَبَقُواْ ٱلصِّرَٲطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ٦٦

вəлəу нəшəə'у лəт̣ōмəснəə 'əлəə ə'йуниhим фəəстəбəќуу ссырōōт̣ō фəəннəə йубсыруун

Had We wished We would have blotted out their eyes: then, were they to advance towards the path, how would have they seen?

وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُواْ مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ٦٧

вəлəу нəшəə'у лəмəсəхнəəhум 'əлəə мəкəəнəтиhим фəмəə-стəт̣ōō'уу мудыййəу-вəлəə йəрджи'уун

And had We wished We would have deformed them in their place; then they would neither have been able to move ahead nor to return.

وَمَن نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِى ٱلْخَلْقِ‌ۖ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ٦٨

вəмəн-ну'əммирhу нунəккисhу фииль-хōльќ, əфəлəə йə'ќилююн

And whomever We give a long life, We cause him to regress in creation. Then, will they not exercise their reason?

وَمَا عَلَّمْنَـٰهُ ٱلشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُۥٓ‌ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْءَانٌ مُّبِينٌ٦٩

вəмəə 'əльлəмнəəhу шши'рō вəмəə йəмм-бəґии лəh, ин hувə ильлəə з̃икруу-вəќур'əəнумм-мубиин

We did not teach him poetry, nor does it behoove him. This is just a reminder and a manifest Quran,

لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ٧٠

лийуӈз̃ирō мəӈ-кəəнə həййəу-вəйəhиќќōль-ќōулю 'əлəəль-кəəфириин

so that anyone who is alive may be warned, and that the word may come due against the faithless.

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَآ أَنْعَـٰمًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَـٰلِكُونَ٧١

əвəлəм йəрōу əннəə хōлəќнəə лəhум-миммəə 'əмилəт əйдиинəə əн'əəмəн фəhум лəhəə мəəликуун

Have they not seen that We have created for them—of what Our hands have worked—cattle, so they have become their masters?

وَذَلَّلْنَـٰهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ٧٢

вəз̃əльлəльнəəhəə лəhум фəминhəə рōкуубуhум вəминhəə йəкулююн

And We made them tractable for them; so some of them make their mounts and some of them they eat.

وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَـٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ‌ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ٧٣

вəлəhум фииhəə мəнəəфи'у вəмəшəəриб, əфəлəə йəшкуруун

There are other benefits for them therein, and drinks. Will they not then give thanks?

وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ٧٤

вəəттəхōз̃уу миӈ-дууни льлəhи əəлиhəтəль-лə'əльлəhум йуӈсōруун

They have taken gods besides Allah, [hoping] that they might be helped [by the fake deities].

لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ٧٥

лəə йəстəт̣ыы'уунə нəсрōhум вəhум лəhум джуӈдумм-муhдōруун

[But] they cannot help them, while they [themselves] are an army mobilized for their defence.

فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ‌ۘ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ٧٦

фəлəə йəhзуӈкə ќōулюhум, иннəə нə'лəму мəə йусирруунə вəмəə йу'линуун

So do not let their remarks grieve you. We indeed know whatever they hide and whatever they disclose.

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ٧٧

əвəлəм йəрōль-иӈсəəну əннəə хōлəќнəəhу мин-нут̣фəтин фəиз̃əə hувə хōсыымумм-мубиин

Does not man see that We created him from a drop of [seminal] fluid, and, behold, he is an open contender!?

وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلاً وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ‌ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌ٧٨

вəдōрōбə лəнəə мəc̃əлəу-вəнəсийə хōльќōh, ќōōлə мəй-йуhйииль-'из̃ōōмə вəhийə рōмиим

He draws comparisons for Us, and forgets his own creation. He says, ‘Who shall revive the bones when they have decayed?’

قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَهَآ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ‌ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ٧٩

ќуль йуhйииhəə льлəз̃ии əӈшəəhəə əувəлə мəррōh, вəhувə бикулли хōльќин 'əлиим

Say, ‘He will revive them who produced them the first time, and He has knowledge of all creation.

ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلْأَخْضَرِ نَارًا فَإِذَآ أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ٨٠

əльлəз̃ии джə'əлə лəкум-минə шшəджəриль-əхдōри нəəрōн фəиз̃əə əӈтум-минhу тууќидуун

He, who made for you fire out of the green tree, and, behold, you light fire from it!

أَوَلَيْسَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُم‌ۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلْخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ٨١

əвəлэйсə льлəз̃ии хōлəќō ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрдō биќōōдирин 'əлəə əй-йəхлюќō миc̃лəhум, бəлəə вəhувəль-хōльлəəќуль-'əлиим

Is not He who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Yes indeed! He is the All-creator, the All-knowing.

إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُۥٓ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيْــًٔا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ٨٢

иннəмəə əмруhу из̃əə əрōōдə шэй'əн əй-йəќуулə лəhу куӈ-фəйəкуун

All His command, when He wills something, is to say to it ‘Be,’ and it is.

فَسُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ٨٣

фəсубhəəнə льлəз̃ии бийəдиhи мəлəкууту кулли шэй'иу-вəилəйhи турджə'уун

So immaculate is He in whose hand is the dominion of all things, and to whom you shall be brought back.
