  • بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

    бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим

    In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
  • 111:1

    تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ

    тəббəт йəдəə əбии лəhəбиу-вəтəбб

    Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he!
  • 111:2

    مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ

    мəə əґнəə 'əнhу мəəлюhу вəмəə кəсəб

    Neither his wealth availed him, nor what he had earned.
  • 111:3

    سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ

    сəйəслəə нəəрōн з̃əəтə лəhəб

    Soon he will enter the blazing fire,
  • 111:4

    وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ

    вəəмрō`əтуhу həммəəлəтəль-həтōб

    and his wife [too], the firewood carrier,
  • 111:5

    فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ

    фии джиидиhəə həблюмм-мимм-мəсəд

    with a rope of palm fibre around her neck.
