ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ١

əль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу вəсōддуу 'əӈ-сəбиили льлəhи əдōльлə ə'мəəлəhум

Those who are [themselves] faithless and bar [others] from the way of Allah—He has rendered their works fruitless.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَءَامَنُواْ بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ‌ۙ كَفَّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔـاتِهِمْ وَأَصْلَحَ بَالَهُمْ٢

вəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əмилюю ссōōлиhəəти вə'əəмəнуу бимəə нуззилə 'əлəə муhəммəдиу-вəhувəль-həќќу миррōббиhим кəффəрō 'əнhум сəййи'əəтиhим вəəслəhə бəəлəhум

But those who have faith and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down to Muhammad—and it is the truth from their Lord—He shall absolve them of their misdeeds and set right their affairs.

ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلْبَـٰطِلَ وَأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلْحَقَّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ‌ۚ كَذَٲلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمْثَـٰلَهُمْ٣

з̃əəликə биəннə льлəз̃иинə кəфəруу-ттəбə'ууль-бəəт̣ылə вəəннə льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу-ттəбə'ууль-həќќō миррōббиhим, кəз̃əəликə йəдрибу ллаhу лин-нəəси əмc̃əəлəhум

That is because the faithless follow falsehood, and the faithful follow the truth from their Lord. That is how Allah draws comparisons for mankind.

فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَضَرْبَ ٱلرِّقَابِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَثْخَنتُمُوهُمْ فَشُدُّواْ ٱلْوَثَاقَ فَإِمَّا مَنَّۢا بَعْدُ وَإِمَّا فِدَآءً حَتَّىٰ تَضَعَ ٱلْحَرْبُ أَوْزَارَهَا‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ وَلَوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ لَٱنتَصَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَاْ بَعْضَكُم بِبَعْضٍ‌ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَلَن يُضِلَّ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ٤

фəиз̃əə лəќиитуму льлəз̃иинə кəфəруу фəдōрбə рриќōōби həттəə из̃əə əc̃хōӈтумууhум фəшуддууль-вəc̃əəќō фəиммəə мəннəмм-бə'ду вəиммəə фидəə'əн həттəə тəдō'əль-həрбу əузəəрōhəə, з̃əəликə вəлəу йəшəə'у ллаhу лəəӈтəсōрō минhум вəлəəкил-лийəблювə бə'дōкумм-бибə'д, вəль-лəз̃иинə ќутилюю фии сəбиили льлəhи фəлэй-йудыльлə ə'мəəлəhум

When you meet the faithless in battle, strike their necks. When you have thoroughly decimated them, bind the captives firmly. Thereafter either oblige them [by setting them free] or take ransom, until the war lays down its burdens. That [is Allah’s ordinance]. Had Allah wished He could have taken vengeance on them, but that He may test some of you by means of others. As for those who were slain in the way of Allah, He will not let their works go fruitless.

سَيَهْدِيهِمْ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَهُمْ٥

сəйəhдииhим вəйуслиhу бəəлəhум

He will guide them and set right their affairs,

وَيُدْخِلُهُمُ ٱلْجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمْ٦

вəйудхылюhумуль-джəннəтə 'əррōфəhəə лəhум

and admit them into paradise, with which He has acquainted them.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِن تَنصُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ٧

йəə əййуhəə льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу иӈ-тəӈсуруу ллаhə йəӈсуркум вəйуc̃əббит əќдəəмəкум

O you who have faith! If you help Allah, He will help you and make your feet steady.

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَتَعْسًا لَّهُمْ وَأَضَلَّ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ٨

вəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу фəтə'сəль-лəhум вəəдōльлə ə'мəəлəhум

As for the faithless, their lot will be to fall [into ruin], and He will render their works fruitless.

ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ٩

з̃əəликə биəннəhум кəриhуу мəə əӈзəлə ллаhу фəəhбəт̣ō ə'мəəлəhум

That is because they loathed what Allah has sent down, so He made their works fail.

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُواْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ‌ۚ دَمَّرَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ‌ۖ وَلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ أَمْثَـٰلُهَا١٠

əфəлəм йəсиируу фииль-əрды фəйəӈз̃уруу кəйфə кəəнə 'əəќибəту льлəз̃иинə миӈ-ќōблиhим, дəммəрō ллаhу 'əлэйhим, вəли-ль-кəəфириинə əмc̃əəлюhəə

Have they not travelled through the land so that they may observe how was the fate of those who were before them? Allah destroyed them, and a similar [fate] awaits these faithless.

ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَوْلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَأَنَّ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ لَا مَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ١١

з̃əəликə биəннə ллаhə мəулəə льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вəəннəль-кəəфириинə лəə мəулəə лəhум

That is because Allah is the protector of the faithful, and because the faithless have no protector.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ‌ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَتَمَتَّعُونَ وَيَأْكُلُونَ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمُ وَٱلنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ١٢

иннə ллаhə йудхылю льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əмилюю ссōōлиhəəти джəннəəтин тəджрии миӈ-тəhтиhəəль-əнhəəр, вəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу йəтəмəттə'уунə вəйəкулююнə кəмəə тəкулюль-əн'əəму вə ннəəру мəc̃вəль-лəhум

Indeed Allah will admit those who have faith and do righteous deeds into gardens with streams running in them. As for the faithless, they enjoy and eat like the cattle do, and the Fire will be their [final] abode.

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ هِىَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةً مِّن قَرْيَتِكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَخْرَجَتْكَ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمْ١٣

вəкəəййимм-миӈ-ќōрйəтин hийə əшəдду ќуувəтəмм-миӈ-ќōрйəтикə льлəтии əхрōджəткə əhлəкнəəhум фəлəə нəəсырō лəhум

How many a town We have destroyed which was more powerful than your town which expelled you, and they had no helper.

أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهْوَآءَهُم١٤

əфəмəӈ-кəəнə 'əлəə бэййинəтимм-мир-рōббиhи кəмəӈ-зуййинə лəhу суу'у 'əмəлиhи вəəттəбə'уу əhвəə'əhум

Is he who stands on a manifest proof from his Lord like those to whom the evil of their conduct is made to seem decorous and who follow their desires?

مَّثَلُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ‌ۖ فِيهَآ أَنْهَـٰرٌ مِّن مَّآءٍ غَيْرِ ءَاسِنٍ وَأَنْهَـٰرٌ مِّن لَّبَنٍ لَّمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُۥ وَأَنْهَـٰرٌ مِّنْ خَمْرٍ لَّذَّةٍ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ وَأَنْهَـٰرٌ مِّنْ عَسَلٍ مُّصَفًّى‌ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٲتِ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ‌ۖ كَمَنْ هُوَ خَـٰلِدٌ فِى ٱلنَّارِ وَسُقُواْ مَآءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَآءَهُمْ١٥

мəc̃əлюль-джəннəти льлəтии ву'идəль-муттəќуун, фииhəə əнhəəрумм-мимм-мəə'ин ґōйри əəсиниу-вəəнhəəрумм-миль-лəбəниль-лəм йəтəґōййəр т̣ō'муhу вəəнhəəрумм-мин хōмриль-лəз̃з̃əтил-лиш-шəəрибиинə вəəнhəəрумм-мин 'əсəлимм-мусōффəн, вəлəhум фииhəə миӈ-кулли c̃c̃əмəрōōти вəмəґфирōтумм-миррōббиhим, кəмəн hувə хōōлидун фии ннəəри вəсуќуу мəə'əн həмиимəн фəќōт̣т̣ō'ə əм'əə'əhум

A description of the paradise promised to the Godwary: therein are streams of unstaling water and streams of milk unchanging in flavour, and streams of wine delicious to the drinkers, and streams of purified honey; there will be every kind of fruit in it for them, and forgiveness from their Lord. [Are such ones] like those who abide in the Fire and are given to drink boiling water which cuts up their bowels?

وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا خَرَجُواْ مِنْ عِندِكَ قَالُواْ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ ءَانِفًا‌ۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ١٦

вəминhум-мəй-йəстəми'у илəйкə həттəə из̃əə хōрōджуу мин 'иӈдикə ќōōлюю лильлəз̃иинə уутууль-'ильмə мəəз̃əə ќōōлə əəнифə, уулəə'икə льлəз̃иинə т̣ōбə'ə ллаhу 'əлəə ќулююбиhим вəəттəбə'уу əhвəə'əhум

There are some among them who prick up their ears at you. But when they go out from your presence, they say to those who have been given knowledge, ‘What did he say just now?’ They are the ones on whose hearts Allah has set a seal, and they follow their own desires.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱهْتَدَوْاْ زَادَهُمْ هُدًى وَءَاتَـٰهُمْ تَقْوَٮٰهُمْ١٧

вəль-лəз̃иинə-hтəдəу зəəдəhум hудəу-вə'əəтəəhум тəќвəəhум

As for those who are [rightly] guided, He enhances their guidance and invests them with their Godwariness.

فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً‌ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءَ أَشْرَاطُهَا‌ۚ فَأَنَّىٰ لَهُمْ إِذَا جَآءَتْهُمْ ذِكْرَٮٰهُمْ١٨

фəhəль йəӈз̃уруунə ильлəə ссəə'əтə əӈ-тəтийəhумм-бəґтəh, фəќōд джəə'ə əшрōōт̣уhəə, фəəннəə лəhум из̃əə джəə'əтhум з̃икрōōhум

Do they await anything except that the Hour should overtake them suddenly? Its portents have already come. When it overtakes them of what avail will the admonitions they were given?

فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنۢبِكَ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ‌ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مُتَقَلَّبَكُمْ وَمَثْوَٮٰكُمْ١٩

фəə'лəм əннəhу лəə илəəhə ильлəə ллаhу вəəстəґфир лиз̃əмм-бикə вəли-ль-му'миниинə вəəльму'минəəт, вə ллаhу йə'лəму мутəќōльлəбəкум вəмəc̃вəəкум

Know that there is no god except Allah, and plead [to Allah] for forgiveness of your sin and for the faithful, men and women. Allah knows your itinerary and your [final] abode.

وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَتْ سُورَةٌ‌ۖ فَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ مُّحْكَمَةٌ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا ٱلْقِتَالُ‌ۙ رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ نَظَرَ ٱلْمَغْشِىِّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ‌ۖ فَأَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ٢٠

вəйəќуулю льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу лəулəə нуззилəт суурōh, фəиз̃əə уӈзилəт суурōтумм-муhкəмəтуу-вəз̃укирō фииhəəль-ќитəəлю рōəйтə льлəз̃иинə фии ќулююбиhим-мəрōдуй-йəӈз̃уруунə илəйкə нəз̃ōрōль-мəґшиййи 'əлэйhи минəль-мəут, фəəулəə лəhум

The faithful say, ‘If only a surah were sent down!’ But when a conclusive surah is sent down and war is mentioned in it, you see those in whose hearts is a sickness looking upon you with the look of someone fainting at death. So woe to them!

طَاعَةٌ وَقَوْلٌ مَّعْرُوفٌ‌ۚ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ ٱلْأَمْرُ فَلَوْ صَدَقُواْ ٱللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ٢١

т̣ōō'əтуу-вəќōулюмм-мə'рууф, фəиз̃əə 'əзəмəль-əмру фəлəу сōдəќуу ллаhə лəкəəнə хōйрōль-лəhум

Obedience and upright speech.... So when the matter has been resolved upon [concerning going to war], if they remain true to Allah that will surely be better for them.

فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَن تُفْسِدُواْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوٓاْ أَرْحَامَكُمْ٢٢

фəhəль 'əсəйтум иӈ-тəвəльлəйтум əӈ-туфсидуу фииль-əрды вəтуќōт̣т̣ы'уу əрhəəмəкум

May it not be that if you were to wield authority you would cause corruption in the land and ill-treat your blood relations?

أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَىٰٓ أَبْصَـٰرَهُمْ٢٣

уулəə'икə льлəз̃иинə лə'əнəhуму ллаhу фəəсōммəhум вəə'мəə əбсōōрōhум

They are the ones whom Allah has cursed, so He made them deaf, and blinded their sight.

أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَآ٢٤

əфəлəə йəтəдəббəруунəль-ќур'əəнə əм 'əлəə ќулююбин əќфəəлюhəə

Do they not contemplate the Quran, or are there locks on the hearts?

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱرْتَدُّواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَـٰرِهِم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَى‌ۙ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْ وَأَمْلَىٰ لَهُمْ٢٥

иннəль-лəз̃иинə-ртəддуу 'əлəə əдбəəриhим-мимм-бə'ди мəə тəбэййəнə лəhумуль-hудəə шшэйт̣ōōну сəувəлə лəhум вəəмлəə лəhум

Indeed those who turned their backs after the guidance had become clear to them, it was Satan who had seduced them, and he had given them [far-flung] hopes.

ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُواْ لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُواْ مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِى بَعْضِ ٱلْأَمْرِ‌ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ٢٦

з̃əəликə биəннəhум ќōōлюю лильлəз̃иинə кəриhуу мəə нəззəлə ллаhу сəнут̣ыы'укум фии бə'дыль-əмр, вə ллаhу йə'лəму исрōōрōhум

That is because they said to those who loathed what Allah had sent down: ‘We shall obey you in some matters,’ and Allah knows their secret dealings.

فَكَيْفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَـٰرَهُمْ٢٧

фəкəйфə из̃əə тəвəффəтhумуль-мəлəə'икəту йəдрибуунə вуджууhəhум вəəдбəəрōhум

But how will it be [with them] when the angels take them away, striking their faces and their backs?!

ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱتَّبَعُواْ مَآ أَسْخَطَ ٱللَّهَ وَكَرِهُواْ رِضْوَٲنَهُۥ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ٢٨

з̃əəликə биəннəhуму-ттəбə'уу мəə əсхōт̣ō ллаhə вəкəриhуу ридвəəнəhу фəəhбəт̣ō ə'мəəлəhум

That, because they pursued what displeased Allah, and loathed His pleasure. So He has made their works fail.

أَمْ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ أَن لَّن يُخْرِجَ ٱللَّهُ أَضْغَـٰنَهُمْ٢٩

əм həсибə льлəз̃иинə фии ќулююбиhим-мəрōдун əль-лэй-йухриджə ллаhу əдґōōнəhум

Do those in whose hearts is a sickness suppose that Allah will not expose their spite?

وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَأَرَيْنَـٰكَهُمْ فَلَعَرَفْتَهُم بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ‌ۚ وَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْ فِى لَحْنِ ٱلْقَوْلِ‌ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ أَعْمَـٰلَكُمْ٣٠

вəлəу нəшəə'у лəəрōйнəəкəhум фəлə'əрōфтəhумм-бисиимəəhум, вəлəтə'рифəннəhум фии лəhниль-ќōуль, вə ллаhу йə'лəму ə'мəəлəкум

If We wish, We will show them to you so that you recognize them by their mark. Yet you will recognize them by their tone of speech, and Allah knows your deeds.

وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَعْلَمَ ٱلْمُجَـٰهِدِينَ مِنكُمْ وَٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ وَنَبْلُوَاْ أَخْبَارَكُمْ٣١

вəлəнəблювəннəкум həттəə нə'лəмəль-муджəəhидиинə миӈкум вə ссōōбириинə вəнəблювə əхбəəрōкум

We will surely test you until We ascertain those of you who wage jihad and those who are steadfast, and We shall appraise your record.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَشَآقُّواْ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ لَن يَضُرُّواْ ٱللَّهَ شَيْــًٔا وَسَيُحْبِطُ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ٣٢

иннəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу вəсōддуу 'əӈ-сəбиили льлəhи вəшəəќќуу ррōсуулə мимм-бə'ди мəə тəбэййəнə лəhумуль-hудəə лэй-йəдурруу ллаhə шэй'əу-вəсəйуhбит̣у ə'мəəлəhум

Indeed those who are faithless and bar from the way of Allah and defy the Apostle after guidance has become clear to them, they will not hurt Allah in the least, and He shall make their works fail.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَلَا تُبْطِلُوٓاْ أَعْمَـٰلَكُمْ٣٣

йəə əййуhəə льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу əт̣ыы'уу ллаhə вəəт̣ыы'уу ррōсуулə вəлəə тубт̣ылюю ə'мəəлəкум

O you who have faith! Obey Allah and obey the Apostle, and do not render your works void.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ مَاتُواْ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ فَلَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ٣٤

иннəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу вəсōддуу 'əӈ-сəбиили льлəhи c̃уммə мəəтуу вəhум куффəəрун фəлэй-йəґфирō ллаhу лəhум

Indeed those who are faithless and bar from the way of Allah and then die faithless, Allah will never forgive them.

فَلَا تَهِنُواْ وَتَدْعُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلسَّلْمِ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ وَٱللَّهُ مَعَكُمْ وَلَن يَتِرَكُمْ أَعْمَـٰلَكُمْ٣٥

фəлəə тəhинуу вəтəд'уу илəə ссəльми вəəӈтумуль-ə'лəунə вə ллаhу мə'əкум вəлэй-йəтирōкум ə'мəəлəкум

So do not slacken and [do not] call for peace when you have the upper hand and Allah is with you, and He will not stint [the reward of] your works.

إِنَّمَا ٱلْحَيَوٲةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ‌ۚ وَإِن تُؤْمِنُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ يُؤْتِكُمْ أُجُورَكُمْ وَلَا يَسْــَٔلْكُمْ أَمْوَٲلَكُمْ٣٦

иннəмəəль-həйəəту ддунйəə лə'ибуу-вəлəhу, вəиӈ-ту'минуу вəтəттəќуу йу'тикум уджуурōкум вəлəə йəсəлькум əмвəəлəкум

The life of the world is just play and diversion, but if you are faithful and Godwary, He will give you your rewards, and will not ask your wealth [in return] from you.

إِن يَسْــَٔلْكُمُوهَا فَيُحْفِكُمْ تَبْخَلُواْ وَيُخْرِجْ أَضْغَـٰنَكُمْ٣٧

ий-йəсəлькумууhəə фəйуhфикум тəбхōлюю вəйухридж əдґōōнəкум

Should He ask it from you and press you, you will be stingy, and He will expose your spite.

هَـٰٓأَنتُمْ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ تُدْعَوْنَ لِتُنفِقُواْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَمِنكُم مَّن يَبْخَلُ‌ۖ وَمَن يَبْخَلْ فَإِنَّمَا يَبْخَلُ عَن نَّفْسِهِۦ‌ۚ وَٱللَّهُ ٱلْغَنِىُّ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْفُقَرَآءُ‌ۚ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْاْ يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوٓاْ أَمْثَـٰلَكُم٣٨

həə əӈтум həə'улəə'и туд'əунə литуӈфиќуу фии сəбиили льлəhи фəмиӈкум-мəй-йəбхōль, вəмəй-йəбхōль фəиннəмəə йəбхōлю 'əн-нəфсиh, вə ллаhуль-ґōниййу вəəӈтумуль-фуќōрōō', вəиӈ-тəтəвəльлəу йəстəбдиль ќōумəн ґōйрōкум c̃уммə лəə йəкуунуу əмc̃əəлəкум

Ah! There you are, being invited to spend in the way of Allah; yet among you there are those who are stingy; and whoever is stingy is stingy only to himself. Allah is the All-sufficient, and you are all-needy, and if you turn away He will replace you with another people, and they will not be like you.
