Maytham Al Tammar
-
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. -
66:1
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبْتَغِي مَرْضَاتَ أَزْوَاجِكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌйəə əййуhəəн-нəбиййу лимə туhəрриму мəə əhəльлəл-лаhу лəкə тəбтəґии мəрдōōтə əзвəəджикə вəл-лаhу ґōфуурур-рōhиим
O Prophet! Why do you disallow [yourself] what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful. -
66:2
قَدْ فَرَضَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ تَحِلَّةَ أَيْمَانِكُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُќōд фəрōдōл-лаhу лəкум тəhильлəтə əймəəникум, вəл-лаhу мəулəəкум, вəhувəль-'əлиимуль-həкиим
Allah has certainly made lawful for you the dissolution of your oaths, and Allah is your master and He is the All-knowing, the All-wise. -
66:3
وَإِذْ أَسَرَّ النَّبِيُّ إِلَىٰ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ حَدِيثًا فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَتْ بِهِ وَأَظْهَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَرَّفَ بَعْضَهُ وَأَعْرَضَ عَن بَعْضٍ ۖ فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَهَا بِهِ قَالَتْ مَنْ أَنبَأَكَ هَـٰذَا ۖ قَالَ نَبَّأَنِيَ الْعَلِيمُ الْخَبِيرُвə`из̃ əсəррōн-нəбиййу илəə бə'ды əзвəəджиhи həдииc̃əн фəлəммəə нəббə`əт биhи вə`əз̃həрōhул-лаhу 'əлэйhи 'əррōфə бə'дōhу вə`ə'рōдō 'əмм-бə'д, фəлəммəə нəббə`əhəə биhи ќōōлəт мəн əмм-бə`əкə həəз̃əə, ќōōлə нəббə`əнийəль-'əлиимуль-хōбиир
When the Prophet confided a matter to one of his wives, but when she divulged it [instead of guarding the secret] and Allah apprised him about it, he acquainted [her] with part of the matter and ignored part of it. So when he told her about it, she said, ‘Who informed you about it?’ He said, ‘The All-knowing and the All-aware has informed me.’ -
66:4
إِن تَتُوبَا إِلَى اللَّهِ فَقَدْ صَغَتْ قُلُوبُكُمَا ۖ وَإِن تَظَاهَرَا عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ مَوْلَاهُ وَجِبْرِيلُ وَصَالِحُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۖ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ ظَهِيرٌиŋŋ-тəтуубəə илəл-лаhи фəќōд сōґōт ќулююбукумəə, вə`иŋŋ-тəз̃ōōhəрōō 'əлэйhи фə`иннəл-лаhə hувə мəулəəhу вəджибриилю вəсōōлиhуль-му`миниин, вəəльмəлəə`икəту бə'дə з̃əəликə з̃ōhиир
If the two of you repent to Allah... for your hearts have certainly swerved, and if you back each other against him, then [know that] Allah is indeed his guardian, and his supporters are Gabriel, the righteous among the faithful and, thereafter, the angels. -
66:5
عَسَىٰ رَبُّهُ إِن طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَن يُبْدِلَهُ أَزْوَاجًا خَيْرًا مِّنكُنَّ مُسْلِمَاتٍ مُّؤْمِنَاتٍ قَانِتَاتٍ تَائِبَاتٍ عَابِدَاتٍ سَائِحَاتٍ ثَيِّبَاتٍ وَأَبْكَارًا'əсəə рōббуhу иŋŋ-тōльлəќōкуннə əй-йубдилəhу əзвəəджəн хōйрōмм-миŋŋкуннə муслимəəтимм-му`минəəтин ќōōнитəəтин тəə`ибəəтин 'əəбидəəтин сəə`иhəəтин c̃əййибəəтиу-вə`əбкəəрō
It may be that if he divorces you his Lord will give him, in [your] stead, wives better than you: [such as are] muslim, faithful, obedient, penitent, devout and given to fasting, virgins and non-virgins. -
66:6
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَّا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу ќуу əŋŋфусəкум вə`əhлиикум нəəрōу-вəќуудуhəəн-нəəсу вəəльhиджəəрōту 'əлэйhəə мəлəə`икəтун ґилəəз̃ун шидəəдуль-лəə йə'суунəл-лаhə мəə əмəрōhум вəйəф'əлююнə мəə йу`мəруун
O you who have faith! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel will be people and stones, over which are [assigned] severe and mighty angels, who do not disobey whatever Allah commands them and carry out what they are commanded. -
66:7
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا الْيَوْمَ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу лəə тə'тəз̃ирууль-йəум, иннəмəə туджзəунə мəə куŋŋтум тə'мəлююн
[They will call out to the faithless:] ‘O faithless ones! Do not make any excuses today. You are being requited only for what you used to do.’ -
66:8
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَّصُوحًا عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَن يُكَفِّرَ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيُدْخِلَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ يَوْمَ لَا يُخْزِي اللَّهُ النَّبِيَّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ ۖ نُورُهُمْ يَسْعَىٰ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу туубуу илəл-лаhи тəубəтəн-ннəсууhəн 'əсəə рōббукум əй-йукəффирō 'əŋŋкум сəййи`əəтикум вəйудхылəкум джəннəəтин тəджрии миŋŋ-тəhтиhəəль-əнhəəру йəумə лəə йухзиил-лаhун-нəбиййə вəəльлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу мə'əh, нууруhум йəс'əə бэйнə əйдииhим вəби`əймəəниhим йəќуулююнə рōббəнəə əтмим лəнəə нуурōнəə вəəґфир лəнəə, иннəкə 'əлəə кулли шэй`ин ќōдиир
O you who have faith! Repent to Allah with sincere repentance! Maybe your Lord will absolve you of your misdeeds and admit you into gardens with streams running in them, on the day when Allah will not let down the Prophet and the faithful who are with him. Their light will move swiftly before them and on their right. They will say, ‘Our Lord! Perfect our light for us, and forgive us! Indeed You have power over all things.’ -
66:9
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ جَاهِدِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ وَاغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُйəə əййуhəəн-нəбиййу джəəhидиль-куффəəрō вəəльмунəəфиќиинə вəəґлюз̃ 'əлэйhим, вəмə`вəəhум джəhəннəм, вəби`сəль-мəсыыр
O Prophet! Wage jihad against the faithless and the hypocrites, and be severe with them. Their refuge will be hell, and it is an evil destination. -
66:10
ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا امْرَأَتَ نُوحٍ وَامْرَأَتَ لُوطٍ ۖ كَانَتَا تَحْتَ عَبْدَيْنِ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا صَالِحَيْنِ فَخَانَتَاهُمَا فَلَمْ يُغْنِيَا عَنْهُمَا مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا وَقِيلَ ادْخُلَا النَّارَ مَعَ الدَّاخِلِينَдōрōбəл-лаhу мəc̃əлəл-лильлəз̃иинə кəфəруу-мрō`əтə нууhиу-вəəмрō`əтə люют, кəəнəтəə тəhтə 'əбдəйни мин 'ибəəдинəə сōōлиhəйни фəхōōнəтəəhумəə фəлəм йуґнийəə 'əнhумəə минəл-лаhи шэй`əу-вəќиилə-дхулəəн-нəəрō мə'əд-дəəхылиин
Allah cites an example of the faithless: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two of our righteous servants, yet they betrayed them. So they did not avail them in any way against Allah, and it was said [to them], ‘Enter the Fire, along with those who enter [it].’ -
66:11
وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا امْرَأَتَ فِرْعَوْنَ إِذْ قَالَتْ رَبِّ ابْنِ لِي عِندَكَ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِي مِن فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِ وَنَجِّنِي مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَвəдōрōбəл-лаhу мəc̃əлəл-лильлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу-мрō`əтə фир'əунə из̃ ќōōлəт рōбби-бни лии 'иŋŋдəкə бэйтəн фииль-джəннəти вəнəджджинии миŋŋ-фир'əунə вə'əмəлиhи вəнəджджинии минəль-ќōумиз̃-з̃ōōлимиин
Allah cites an example of the faithful: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, ‘My Lord! Build me a home near You in paradise, and deliver me from Pharaoh and his conduct, and deliver me from the wrongdoing lot.’ -
66:12
وَمَرْيَمَ ابْنَتَ عِمْرَانَ الَّتِي أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِنَا وَصَدَّقَتْ بِكَلِمَاتِ رَبِّهَا وَكُتُبِهِ وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَвəмəрйəмə-бнəтə 'имрōōнəль-лəтии əhсōнəт фəрджəhəə фəнəфəхнəə фииhи мир-рууhинəə вəсōддəќōт бикəлимəəти рōббиhəə вəкутубиhи вəкəəнəт минəль-ќōōнитиин
And Mary, daughter of Imran, who guarded the chastity of her womb, so We breathed into it of Our spirit. She confirmed the words of her Lord and His Books, and she was one of the obedient.
