ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ١

əррōhмəəн

The All-beneficent

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ٢

'əльлəмəль-ќур'əəн

has taught the Quran.

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ٣

хōлəќōль-иӈсəəн

He created man,

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ٤

'əльлəмəhуль-бəйəəн

[and] taught him articulate speech.

ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ٥

əшшəмсу вəəльќōмəру биhусбəəн

The sun and the moon are [disposed] calculatedly,

وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ٦

вə ннəджму вə шшəджəру йəсджудəəн

and the herb and the tree prostrate [to Allah].

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ٧

вə ссəмəə'ə рōфə'əhəə вəвəдō'əль-миизəəн

He raised the heaven high and set up the balance,

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْاْ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ٨

əльлəə тəт̣ґōу фииль-миизəəн

declaring, ‘Do not infringe the balance!

وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُواْ ٱلْمِيزَانَ٩

вəəќиимууль-вəзнə биль-ќист̣ы вəлəə тухсирууль-миизəəн

Maintain the weights with justice, and do not shorten the balance!’

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ١٠

вəəльəрдō вəдō'əhəə ли-ль-əнəəм

And the earth—He laid it out for mankind.

فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ١١

фииhəə фəəкиhəтуу-вə ннəхлю з̃əəтуль-əкмəəм

In it are fruits and date-palms with sheaths,

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ١٢

вəəльhəббу з̃ууль-'əсфи вə ррōйhəəн

grain with husk, and fragrant herbs.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ١٣

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ١٤

хōлəќōль-иӈсəəнə миӈ-сōльсōōлин кəəльфəххōōр

He created man out of dry clay, like the potter’s,

وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ١٥

вəхōлəќōль-джəəннə мимм-мəəриджимм-мин-нəəр

and created the jinn out of a flame of a fire.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ١٦

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ١٧

рōббуль-мəшриќōйни вəрōббуль-мəґрибəйн

Lord of the two easts, and Lord of the two wests!

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ١٨

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ١٩

мəрōджəль-бəhрōйни йəльтəќийəəн

He merged the two seas, meeting each other.

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ٢٠

бэйнəhумəə бəрзəхуль-лəə йəбґийəəн

There is a barrier between them, which they do not overstep.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢١

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ٢٢

йəхруджу минhумəə ллю'лю'у вəəльмəрджəəн

From them emerge the pearl and the coral.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢٣

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔـاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ٢٤

вəлəhуль-джəвəəриль-муӈшə'əəту фииль-бəhри кəəльə'лəəм

His are the sailing ships on the sea [appearing] like landmarks.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢٥

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ٢٦

куллю мəн 'əлэйhəə фəəн

Everyone on it is ephemeral,

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ٢٧

вəйəбќōō вəджhу рōббикə з̃ууль-джəлəəли вəəльикрōōм

yet lasting is the majestic and munificent Face of your Lord.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٢٨

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

يَسْــَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ‌ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ٢٩

йəсəлюhу мəӈ-фии ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрд, кульлə йəумин hувə фии шəн

Everyone in the heavens and the earth asks Him. Every day He is engaged in some work.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٠

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ٣١

сəнəфруґу лəкум əййуhə c̃c̃əќōлəəн

Soon We shall make Ourselves unoccupied for you, O you notable two!

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٢

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُواْ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُواْ‌ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ٣٣

йəə мə'шəрōль-джинни вəəльиӈси ини-стəт̣ō'тум əӈ-тəӈфуз̃уу мин əќт̣ōōри ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрды фəəӈфуз̃уу, лəə тəӈфуз̃уунə ильлəə бисульт̣ōōн

O company of jinn and humans! If you can pass through the confines of the heavens and the earth, then do pass through. But you will not pass through except by an authority [from Allah].

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٤

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ٣٥

йурсəлю 'əлэйкумəə шувəəз̃умм-мин-нəəриу-вəнуhəəсун фəлəə тəӈтəсырōōн

There will be unleashed upon you a flash of fire and a smoke; then you will not be able to help one another.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٦

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ٣٧

фəиз̃əə-ӈшəќќōти ссəмəə'у фəкəəнəт вəрдəтəн кə ддиhəəн

When the sky is split open, and turns crimson like tanned leather.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٣٨

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْــَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ٣٩

фəйəумə'из̃иль-лəə йусəлю 'əӈ-з̃əмм-биhи иӈсуу-вəлəə джəəнн

On that day neither humans will be questioned about their sins nor jinn.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٠

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٲصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ٤١

йу'рōфуль-муджримуунə бисиимəəhум фəйу'хōз̃у бин-нəвəəсыы вəəльəќдəəм

The guilty will be recognized by their mark; so they will be seized by their forelocks and feet.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٢

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ٤٣

həəз̃иhи джəhəннəму льлəтии йукəз̃з̃ибу биhəəль-муджримуун

‘This is the hell which the guilty would deny!’

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ٤٤

йəт̣ууфуунə бэйнəhəə вəбэйнə həмиимин əəн

They shall circuit between it and boiling hot water.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٥

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ٤٦

вəлимəн хōōфə мəќōōмə рōббиhи джəннəтəəн

For him who stands in awe of his Lord will be two gardens.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٧

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ٤٨

з̃əвəəтəə əфнəəн

Both abounding in branches.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٤٩

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ٥٠

фииhимəə 'əйнəəни тəджрийəəн

In both of them will be two flowing springs.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥١

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ٥٢

фииhимəə миӈ-кулли фəəкиhəтин зəуджəəн

In both of them will be two kinds of every fruit.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥٣

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

مُتَّكِــِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ‌ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ٥٤

муттəки'иинə 'əлəə фурушимм-бəт̣ōō'инуhəə мин истəбрōќ, вəджəнəəль-джəннəтəйни дəəн

[They will be] reclining on beds lined with green silk. And the fruit of the two gardens will be near at hand.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥٥

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٲتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ٥٦

фииhиннə ќōōсырōōту т̣т̣ōрфи лəм йəт̣миc̃hуннə иӈсун ќōблəhум вəлəə джəəнн

In them are maidens of restrained glances, whom no human has touched before, nor jinn.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥٧

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ٥٨

кəəннəhуннəль-йəəќууту вəəльмəрджəəн

As though they were rubies and corals.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٥٩

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ٦٠

həль джəзəə'уль-иhсəəни ильлəəль-иhсəəн

Is the requital of goodness anything but goodness?

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦١

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ٦٢

вəмиӈ-дууниhимəə джəннəтəəн

Beside these two, there will be two [other] gardens.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٣

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ٦٤

мудhəəммəтəəн

Dark green.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٥

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ٦٦

фииhимəə 'əйнəəни нəддōōхōтəəн

In both of them will be two gushing springs.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٧

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ٦٨

фииhимəə фəəкиhəтуу-вəнəхлюу-вəруммəəн

In both of them will be fruits, date-palms and pomegranates.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٦٩

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٲتٌ حِسَانٌ٧٠

фииhиннə хōйрōōтун hисəəн

In them are maidens good and lovely.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧١

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٲتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ٧٢

hуурумм-мəќсуурōōтун фииль-хыйəəм

Houris secluded in pavilions.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧٣

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ٧٤

лəм йəт̣миc̃hуннə иӈсун ќōблəhум вəлəə джəəнн

Whom no human has touched before, nor jinn.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧٥

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

مُتَّكِــِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ٧٦

муттəки'иинə 'əлəə рōфрōфин худриу-вə'əбќōриййин hисəəн

Reclining on green cushions and lovely carpets.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ٧٧

фəбиəййи əəлəə'и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ٧٨

тəбəəрōкə-сму рōббикə з̃ииль-джəлəəли вəəльикрōōм

Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Majestic and the Munificent!
