Maytham Al Tammar

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. -
33:1
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًاйəə əййуhəəн-нəбиййу-ттəќиль-лəhə вəлəə туты'иль-кəəфириинə вəəльмунəəфиќиинə иннəл-лаhə кəəнə 'əлиимəн həкиимə
O Prophet! Be wary of Allah and do not obey the faithless and the hypocrites. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise. -
33:4
مَّا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍ مِّن قَلْبَيْنِ فِي جَوْفِهِ ۚ وَمَا جَعَلَ أَزْوَاجَكُمُ اللَّائِي تُظَاهِرُونَ مِنْهُنَّ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ ۚ وَمَا جَعَلَ أَدْعِيَاءَكُمْ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ قَوْلُكُم بِأَفْوَاهِكُمْ ۖ وَاللَّهُ يَقُولُ الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ يَهْدِي السَّبِيلَмəə джə'əлəл-лаhу лирōджулимм-миŋŋ-ќōльбəйни фии джəуфиh, вəмəə джə'əлə əзвəəджəкумуль-лəə`ии туз̃ōōhируунə минhуннə уммəhəəтикум, вəмəə джə'əлə əд'ийəə`əкум əбнəə`əкум, з̃əəликум ќōулюкумм-би`əфвəəhикум, вəл-лаhу йəќуулюль-həќќō вəhувə йəhдиис-сəбииль
Allah has not put two hearts within any man, nor has He made your wives whom you repudiate by zihar your mothers, nor has he made your adopted sons your [actual] sons. These are mere utterances of your mouths. But Allah speaks the truth and He guides to the [right] way. -
33:5
ادْعُوهُمْ لِآبَائِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِندَ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِن لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوا آبَاءَهُمْ فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَمَوَالِيكُمْ ۚ وَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا أَخْطَأْتُم بِهِ وَلَـٰكِن مَّا تَعَمَّدَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًاуд'ууhум ли`əəбəə`иhим hувə əќсəту 'иŋŋдəл-лаh, фə`иль-лəм тə'лəмуу əəбəə`əhум фə`ихвəəнукум фиид-диини вəмəвəəлиикум, вəлэйсə 'əлэйкум джунəəhун фиимəə əхтō`тумм-биhи вəлəəкимм-мəə тə'əммəдəт ќулююбукум, вəкəəнəл-лаhу ґōфуурōр-рōhиимə
Call them after their fathers. That is more just with Allah. If you do not know their fathers, then they are your brethren in the faith and your kinsmen. Excepting what your hearts may intend deliberately, there will be no sin upon you for any mistake that you may make therein. And Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful. -
33:6
النَّبِيُّ أَوْلَىٰ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ وَأَزْوَاجُهُ أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ ۗ وَأُولُو الْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِبَعْضٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ إِلَّا أَن تَفْعَلُوا إِلَىٰ أَوْلِيَائِكُم مَّعْرُوفًا ۚ كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَسْطُورًاəннəбиййу əулəə би-ль-му`миниинə мин əŋŋфусиhим, вə`əзвəəджуhу уммəhəəтуhум, вə`уулююль-əрhəəми бə'дуhум əулəə бибə'дын фии китəəбиль-лəhи минəль-му`миниинə вəəльмуhəəджириинə ильлəə əŋŋ-тəф'əлюю илəə əулийəə`икум-мə'рууфə, кəəнə з̃əəликə фииль-китəəби мəстуурō
The Prophet is closer to the faithful than their own souls, and his wives are their mothers. The blood relatives are more entitled to inherit from one another in the Book of Allah than the [other] faithful and Emigrants, barring any favour you may do your comrades. This has been written in the Book. -
33:7
وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِيثَاقَهُمْ وَمِنكَ وَمِن نُّوحٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًاвə`из̃ əхōз̃нəə минəн-нəбиййиинə мииc̃əəќōhум вəмиŋŋкə вəмин-нууhиу-вə`ибрōōhиимə вəмуусəə вə'иисəə-бни мəрйəм, вə`əхōз̃нəə минhум-мииc̃əəќōн ґōлииз̃ō
[Recall] when We took a pledge from the prophets, and from you and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus son of Mary, and We took from them a solemn pledge, -
33:8
لِّيَسْأَلَ الصَّادِقِينَ عَن صِدْقِهِمْ ۚ وَأَعَدَّ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًاлийəс`əлəс-сōōдиќиинə 'əŋŋ-сыдќиhим, вə`ə'əддə ли-ль-кəəфириинə 'əз̃əəбəн əлиимə
so that He may question the truthful concerning their truthfulness. And He has prepared for the faithless a painful punishment. -
33:9
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَاءَتْكُمْ جُنُودٌ فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا وَجُنُودًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرًاйəə əййуhəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу-з̃куруу ни'мəтəл-лаhи 'əлэйкум из̃ джəə`əткум джунуудун фə`əрсəльнəə 'əлэйhим рииhəу-вəджунуудəль-лəм тəрōуhəə, вəкəəнəл-лаhу бимəə тə'мəлююнə бəсыырō
O you who have faith! Remember Allah’s blessing upon you when the hosts came at you, and We sent against them a gale and hosts whom you did not see, and Allah sees best what you do. -
33:10
إِذْ جَاءُوكُم مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ وَإِذْ زَاغَتِ الْأَبْصَارُ وَبَلَغَتِ الْقُلُوبُ الْحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّونَ بِاللَّهِ الظُّنُونَاиз̃ джəə`уукум-миŋŋ-фəуќикум вəмин əсфəлə миŋŋкум вə`из̃ зəəґōтиль-əбсōōру вəбəлəґōтиль-ќулююбуль-həнəəджирō вəтəз̃уннуунə биль-лəhиз̃-з̃унуунəə
When they came at you from above and below you, and when the eyes rolled [with fear] and the hearts leapt to the throats, and you entertained misgivings about Allah, -
33:12
وَإِذْ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ مَّا وَعَدَنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ إِلَّا غُرُورًاвə`из̃ йəќуулюль-мунəəфиќуунə вəəльлəз̃иинə фии ќулююбиhим-мəрōдумм-мəə вə'əдəнəл-лаhу вəрōсуулюhу ильлəə ґуруурō
When the hypocrites, as well as those in whose hearts is a sickness, were saying, ‘Allah and His Apostle did not promise us [anything] except delusion.’ -
33:13
وَإِذْ قَالَت طَّائِفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَا أَهْلَ يَثْرِبَ لَا مُقَامَ لَكُمْ فَارْجِعُوا ۚ وَيَسْتَأْذِنُ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمُ النَّبِيَّ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ بُيُوتَنَا عَوْرَةٌ وَمَا هِيَ بِعَوْرَةٍ ۖ إِن يُرِيدُونَ إِلَّا فِرَارًاвə`из̃ ќōōлəт-тōō`ифəтумм-минhум йəə əhлə йəc̃рибə лəə муќōōмə лəкум фəəрджи'уу, вəйəстə`з̃ину фəрииќумм-минhумун-нəбиййə йəќуулююнə иннə буйуутəнəə 'əурōтуу-вəмəə hийə би'əурōh, ий-йуриидуунə ильлəə фирōōрō
And when a group of them said, ‘O people of Yathrib! [This is] not a place for you, so go back!’ A group of them sought the Prophet’s permission [to leave the scene of battle], saying, ‘Our homes lie exposed [to the enemy],’ although they were not exposed. They only sought to flee. -
33:14
وَلَوْ دُخِلَتْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَقْطَارِهَا ثُمَّ سُئِلُوا الْفِتْنَةَ لَآتَوْهَا وَمَا تَلَبَّثُوا بِهَا إِلَّا يَسِيرًاвəлəу духылəт 'əлэйhим-мин əќтōōриhəə c̃уммə су`илююль-фитнəтə лə`əəтəуhəə вəмəə тəлəббəc̃уу биhəə ильлəə йəсиирō
Had they been invaded from its flanks and had they been asked to apostatize, they would have done so with only a mild hesitation, -
33:15
وَلَقَدْ كَانُوا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ مِن قَبْلُ لَا يُوَلُّونَ الْأَدْبَارَ ۚ وَكَانَ عَهْدُ اللَّهِ مَسْئُولًاвəлəќōд кəəнуу 'əəhəдуул-лаhə миŋŋ-ќōблю лəə йувəллююнəль-əдбəəр, вəкəəнə 'əhдул-лаhи мəс`уулə
though they had already pledged to Allah before that they would not turn their backs [to flee], and pledges given to Allah are accountable. -
33:16
قُل لَّن يَنفَعَكُمُ الْفِرَارُ إِن فَرَرْتُم مِّنَ الْمَوْتِ أَوِ الْقَتْلِ وَإِذًا لَّا تُمَتَّعُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًاќуль-лэй-йəŋŋфə'əкумуль-фирōōру иŋŋ-фəрōртум-минəль-мəути əвиль-ќōтли вə`из̃əль-лəə тумəттə'уунə ильлəə ќōлиилə
Say, ‘Flight will not avail you, if you flee from death, or from being killed, and then you will be let to enjoy only for a little while.’ -
33:17
قُلْ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَعْصِمُكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ سُوءًا أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ رَحْمَةً ۚ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًاќуль мəŋŋ-з̃əəль-лəз̃ии йə'сымукум-минəл-лаhи ин əрōōдə бикум суу`əн əу əрōōдə бикум рōhмəh, вəлəə йəджидуунə лəhум-миŋŋ-дууниль-лəhи вəлиййəу-вəлəə нəсыырō
Say, ‘Who is it that can protect you from Allah if He desires to cause you harm or desires to grant you His mercy?’ Besides Allah they will not find for themselves any protector or helper. -
33:18
۞ قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ الْمُعَوِّقِينَ مِنكُمْ وَالْقَائِلِينَ لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ هَلُمَّ إِلَيْنَا ۖ وَلَا يَأْتُونَ الْبَأْسَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًاќōд йə'лəмул-лаhуль-му'əувиќиинə миŋŋкум вəəльќōō`илиинə ли`ихвəəниhим həлюммə илəйнəə, вəлəə йə`туунəль-бə`сə ильлəə ќōлиилə
Allah knows those of you who discourage others, and those who say to their brethren, ‘Come to us!’ and take little part in the battle, -
33:19
أَشِحَّةً عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ الْخَوْفُ رَأَيْتَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ تَدُورُ أَعْيُنُهُمْ كَالَّذِي يُغْشَىٰ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ ۖ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ الْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوكُم بِأَلْسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ أَشِحَّةً عَلَى الْخَيْرِ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا فَأَحْبَطَ اللَّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرًاəшиhhəтəн 'əлэйкум, фə`из̃əə джəə`əль-хōуфу рō`əйтəhум йəŋŋз̃уруунə илəйкə тəдууру ə'йунуhум кəəльлəз̃ии йуґшəə 'əлэйhи минəль-мəут, фə`из̃əə з̃əhəбəль-хōуфу сəлəќуукумм-би`əльсинəтин hидəəдин əшиhhəтəн 'əлəəль-хōйр, уулəə`икə лəм йу`минуу фə`əhбəтōл-лаhу ə'мəəлəhум, вəкəəнə з̃əəликə 'əлəл-лаhи йəсиирō
grudging you [their help]. So when there is panic, you see them looking at you, with their eyes rolling like someone fainting at death. Then, when the panic is over, they scald you with [their] sharp tongues in their greed for the spoils. They never have had faith. So Allah has made their works fail, and that is easy for Allah. -
33:20
يَحْسَبُونَ الْأَحْزَابَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا ۖ وَإِن يَأْتِ الْأَحْزَابُ يَوَدُّوا لَوْ أَنَّهُم بَادُونَ فِي الْأَعْرَابِ يَسْأَلُونَ عَنْ أَنبَائِكُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كَانُوا فِيكُم مَّا قَاتَلُوا إِلَّا قَلِيلًاйəhсəбуунəль-əhзəəбə лəм йəз̃həбуу, вə`ий-йə`тиль-əhзəəбу йəвəддуу лəу əннəhумм-бəəдуунə фииль-ə'рōōби йəс`əлююнə 'əн əмм-бəə`икум, вəлəу кəəнуу фиикум-мəə ќōōтəлюю ильлəə ќōлиилə
They suppose the confederates have not left yet, and were the confederates to come [again], they would wish they were in the desert with the Bedouins asking about your news, and if they were with you they would fight but a little.
