surah059

سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ‌ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ١

сəббəhə ли-Ллəhи мəə фии ссəмəəвəəти вəмəə фииль-əрды вəhувəль-'əзиизуль-həкиим

Whatever there is in the heavens and whatever there is in the earth glorifies Allah, and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مِن دِيَـٰرِهِمْ لِأَوَّلِ ٱلْحَشْرِ‌ۚ مَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن يَخْرُجُواْ‌ۖ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُم مَّانِعَتُهُمْ حُصُونُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ فَأَتَـٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَمْ يَحْتَسِبُواْ‌ۖ وَقَذَفَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلرُّعْبَ‌ۚ يُخْرِبُونَ بُيُوتَهُم بِأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَيْدِى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَٱعْتَبِرُواْ يَـٰٓأُوْلِى ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ٢

hувə льлəз̃ии əхрōджə льлəз̃иинə кəфəруу мин əhлиль-китəəби миӈ-дийəəриhим лиəувəлиль-həшр, мəə з̃ōнəӈтум əй-йəхруджуу, вəз̃ōннуу əннəhум-мəəни'əтуhум hусуунуhум-минə ллаhи фəəтəəhуму ллаhу мин həйc̃у лəм йəhтəсибуу, вəќōз̃əфə фии ќулююбиhиму рру'б, йухрибуунə буйуутəhумм-биəйдииhим вəəйдииль-му'миниинə фəə'тəбируу йəə уулииль-əбсōōр

It is He who expelled the faithless belonging to the People of the Book from their homes at the outset of [their] en masse banishment. You did not think that they would go out, and they thought their fortresses would protect them from Allah. But Allah came at them from whence they did not suppose and He cast terror into their hearts. They demolish their houses with their own hands and the hands of the faithful. So take lesson, O you who have insight!

وَلَوْلَآ أَن كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْجَلَآءَ لَعَذَّبَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا‌ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ عَذَابُ ٱلنَّارِ٣

вəлəулəə əӈ-кəтəбə ллаhу 'əлэйhимуль-джəлəə'ə лə'əз̃з̃əбəhум фии ддунйəə, вəлəhум фииль-'əəхырōти 'əз̃əəбу ннəəр

If Allah had not ordained banishment for them, He would have surely punished them in this world, and in the Hereafter, there is the punishment of the Fire for them.

ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ شَآقُّواْ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ‌ۖ وَمَن يُشَآقِّ ٱللَّهَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ٤

з̃əəликə биəннəhум шəəќќуу ллаhə вəрōсуулəh, вəмəй-йушəəќќи льлəhə фəиннə ллаhə шəдиидуль-'иќōōб

That is because they defied Allah and His Apostle; and whoever defies Allah, Allah is indeed severe in retribution.

مَا قَطَعْتُم مِّن لِّينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَآئِمَةً عَلَىٰٓ أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيُخْزِىَ ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ٥

мəə ќōт̣ō'тум-мил-лиинəтин əу тəрōктумууhəə ќōō'имəтəн 'əлəə усуулиhəə фəбииз̃ни льлəhи вəлийухзийəль-фəəсиќиин

Whatever palm trees you cut down or left standing on their roots, it was by Allah’s will and in order that He may disgrace the transgressors.

وَمَآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَوْجَفْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خَيْلٍ وَلَا رِكَابٍ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسَلِّطُ رُسُلَهُۥ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ‌ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ٦

вəмəə əфəə'ə ллаhу 'əлəə рōсуулиhи минhум фəмəə əуджəфтум 'əлэйhи мин хōйлиу-вəлəə рикəəбиу-вəлəəкиннə ллаhə йусəллит̣у русулəhу 'əлəə мəй-йəшəə', вə ллаhу 'əлəə кулли шэй'ин ќōдиир

The spoils that Allah gave to His Apostle from them, you did not spur any horse for its sake, nor any riding camel, but Allah makes His apostles prevail over whomever He wishes, and Allah has power over all things.

مَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْقُرَىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ كَىْ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةَۢ بَيْنَ ٱلْأَغْنِيَآءِ مِنكُمْ‌ۚ وَمَآ ءَاتَـٰكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَـٰكُمْ عَنْهُ فَٱنتَهُواْ‌ۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ‌ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ٧

мəə əфəə'ə ллаhу 'əлəə рōсуулиhи мин əhлиль-ќурōō фəли-Ллəhи вəлир-рōсуули вəлиз̃ииль-ќурбəə вəəльйəтəəмəə вəəльмəсəəкиини вəəбни ссəбиили кəй лəə йəкуунə дуулəтəмм-бэйнəль-əґнийəə'и миӈкум, вəмəə əəтəəкуму ррōсуулю фəхуз̃ууhу вəмəə нəhəəкум 'əнhу фəəӈтəhуу, вəəттəќуу ллаh, иннə ллаhə шəдиидуль-'иќōōб

The spoils that Allah gave to His Apostle from the people of the townships, are for Allah and the Apostle, the relatives and the orphans, the needy and the traveller, so that they do not circulate among the rich among you. Take whatever the Apostle gives you, and refrain from whatever he forbids you, and be wary of Allah. Indeed Allah is severe in retribution.

لِلْفُقَرَآءِ ٱلْمُهَـٰجِرِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُواْ مِن دِيَـٰرِهِمْ وَأَمْوَٲلِهِمْ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلاً مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٲنًا وَيَنصُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ‌ۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصَّـٰدِقُونَ٨

ли-ль-фуќōрōō'иль-муhəəджириинə льлəз̃иинə ухриджуу миӈ-дийəəриhим вəəмвəəлиhим йəбтəґуунə фəдлəмм-минə ллаhи вəридвəəнəу-вəйəӈсуруунə ллаhə вəрōсуулəh, уулəə'икə hуму ссōōдиќуун

[They are also] for the poor Emigrants who have been expelled from their homes and [wrested of] their possessions, who seek grace from Allah and [His] pleasure and help Allah and His Apostle. It is they who are the truthful.

وَٱلَّذِينَ تَبَوَّءُو ٱلدَّارَ وَٱلْإِيمَـٰنَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ يُحِبُّونَ مَنْ هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ فِى صُدُورِهِمْ حَاجَةً مِّمَّآ أُوتُواْ وَيُؤْثِرُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ بِهِمْ خَصَاصَةٌ‌ۚ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِۦ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ٩

вəль-лəз̃иинə тəбəувə'уу ддəəрō вəəльиимəəнə миӈ-ќōблиhим йуhиббуунə мəн həəджəрō илəйhим вəлəə йəджидуунə фии судууриhим həəджəтəмм-миммəə уутуу вəйу'c̃ируунə 'əлəə əӈфусиhим вəлəу кəəнə биhим хōсōōсōh, вəмəй-йууќō шуhhə нəфсиhи фəуулəə'икə hумуль-муфлиhуун

[They are as well] for those who were settled in the land and [abided] in faith before them, who love those who migrate toward them, and do not find in their breasts any privation for that which is given to them, but prefer [the Immigrants] to themselves, though poverty be their own lot. And those who are saved from their own greed—it is they who are the felicitous.

وَٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَٲنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِى قُلُوبِنَا غِلاًّ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ١٠

вəль-лəз̃иинə джəə'уу мимм-бə'диhим йəќуулююнə рōббəнəə-ґфир лəнəə вəлиихвəəнинəə льлəз̃иинə сəбəќуунəə биль-иимəəни вəлəə тəдж'əль фии ќулююбинəə ґильлəл-лильлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу рōббəнəə иннəкə рō'ууфуррōhиим

And [also for] those who came in after them, who say, ‘Our Lord, forgive us and our brethren who were our forerunners in the faith, and do not put any rancour in our hearts toward the faithful. Our Lord, You are indeed most kind and merciful.’

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ نَافَقُواْ يَقُولُونَ لِإِخْوَٲنِهِمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَئِنْ أُخْرِجْتُمْ لَنَخْرُجَنَّ مَعَكُمْ وَلَا نُطِيعُ فِيكُمْ أَحَدًا أَبَدًا وَإِن قُوتِلْتُمْ لَنَنصُرَنَّكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ١١

əлəм тəрō илəə льлəз̃иинə нəəфəќуу йəќуулююнə лиихвəəниhиму льлəз̃иинə кəфəруу мин əhлиль-китəəби лə'ин ухриджтум лəнəхруджəннə мə'əкум вəлəə нут̣ыы'у фиикум əhəдəн əбəдəу-вəиӈ-ќуутильтум лəнəӈсурōннəкум вə ллаhу йəшhəду иннəhум лəкəəз̃ибуун

Have you not regarded the hypocrites who say to their brethren, the faithless from among the People of the Book, ‘If you are expelled, we will surely go out with you, and we will never obey anyone against you, and if you are fought against we will surely help you,’ and Allah bears witness that they are indeed liars.

لَئِنْ أُخْرِجُواْ لَا يَخْرُجُونَ مَعَهُمْ وَلَئِن قُوتِلُواْ لَا يَنصُرُونَهُمْ وَلَئِن نَّصَرُوهُمْ لَيُوَلُّنَّ ٱلْأَدْبَـٰرَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنصَرُونَ١٢

лə'ин ухриджуу лəə йəхруджуунə мə'əhум вəлə'иӈ-ќуутилюю лəə йəӈсуруунəhум вəлə'ин-нəсōрууhум лəйувəллюннəль-əдбəəрō c̃уммə лəə йуӈсōруун

Surely, if they were expelled they will not go out with them, and if they were fought against they will not help them, and [even if] they were to help them they will turn their backs [to flee] and eventually they will not be helped.

لَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ رَهْبَةً فِى صُدُورِهِم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ١٣

лəəӈтум əшəдду рōhбəтəн фии судууриhим-минə ллаh, з̃əəликə биəннəhум ќōумуль-лəə йəфќōhуун

Indeed they have a greater awe of you in their hearts than of Allah. That is because they are a lot who do not understand.

لَا يُقَـٰتِلُونَكُمْ جَمِيعًا إِلَّا فِى قُرًى مُّحَصَّنَةٍ أَوْ مِن وَرَآءِ جُدُرِۭ‌ۚ بَأْسُهُم بَيْنَهُمْ شَدِيدٌ‌ۚ تَحْسَبُهُمْ جَمِيعًا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ شَتَّىٰ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ١٤

лəə йуќōōтилююнəкум джəмии'əн ильлəə фии ќурōмм-муhəссōнəтин əу миу-вəрōō'и джудур, бəсуhумм-бэйнəhум шəдиид, тəhсəбуhум джəмии'əу-вəќулююбуhум шəттəə, з̃əəликə биəннəhум ќōумуль-лəə йə'ќилююн

They will not fight against you together except in fortified townships or from behind walls. Their fierceness is great only within themselves. You suppose them to be united, but their hearts are divided. That is because they are a lot who do not exercise their reason,

كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَرِيبًا‌ۖ ذَاقُواْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ١٥

кəмəc̃əли льлəз̃иинə миӈ-ќōблиhим ќōриибə, з̃əəќуу вəбəəлə əмриhим вəлəhум 'əз̃əəбун əлиим

just like those who tasted the evil consequence of their conduct recently before them, and there is a painful punishment for them.

كَمَثَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ إِذْ قَالَ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ ٱكْفُرْ فَلَمَّا كَفَرَ قَالَ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّنكَ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ١٦

кəмəc̃əли шшэйт̣ōōни из̃ ќōōлə ли-ль-иӈсəəни-кфур фəлəммəə кəфəрō ќōōлə иннии бəрии'умм-миӈкə иннии əхōōфу ллаhə рōббəль-'əəлəмиин

[The hypocrites are] like Satan when he tells man to disbelieve, but when he disbelieves, he says, ‘I am absolved of you. Indeed I fear Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.’

فَكَانَ عَـٰقِبَتَهُمَآ أَنَّهُمَا فِى ٱلنَّارِ خَـٰلِدَيْنِ فِيهَا‌ۚ وَذَٲلِكَ جَزَٲٓؤُاْ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ١٧

фəкəəнə 'əəќибəтəhумəə əннəhумəə фии ннəəри хōōлидəйни фииhəə, вəз̃əəликə джəзəə'у з̃з̃ōōлимиин

So the fate of both is that they will be in the Fire, to remain in it [forever]. Such is the requital of the wrongdoers.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلْتَنظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ‌ۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ١٨

йəə əййуhəə льлəз̃иинə əəмəнуу-ттəќуу ллаhə вəльтəӈз̃ур нəфсумм-мəə ќōддəмəт лиґōд, вəəттəќуу ллаh, иннə ллаhə хōбиирумм-бимəə тə'мəлююн

O you who have faith! Be wary of Allah, and let every soul consider what it sends ahead for Tomorrow, and be wary of Allah. Allah is indeed well aware of what you do

وَلَا تَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّذِينَ نَسُواْ ٱللَّهَ فَأَنسَـٰهُمْ أَنفُسَهُمْ‌ۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ١٩

вəлəə тəкуунуу кəəль-лəз̃иинə нəсуу ллаhə фəəӈсəəhум əӈфусəhум, уулəə'икə hумуль-фəəсиќуун

Do not be like those who forget Allah, so He makes them forget their own souls. It is they who are the transgressors.

لَا يَسْتَوِىٓ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ‌ۚ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ٢٠

лəə йəстəвии əсhəəбу ннəəри вəəсhəəбуль-джəннəh, əсhəəбуль-джəннəти hумуль-фəə'изуун

Not equal are the inmates of the Fire and the inhabitants of paradise. It is the inhabitants of paradise who are the successful ones.

لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُۥ خَـٰشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ وَتِلْكَ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ٢١

лəу əӈзəльнəə həəз̃əəль-ќур'əəнə 'əлəə джəбəлиль-лəрōəйтəhу хōōши'əмм-мутəсōдди'əмм-мин хōшйəти льлəh, вəтилькəль-əмc̃əəлю нəдрибуhəə лин-нəəси лə'əльлəhум йəтəфəккəруун

Had We sent down this Quran upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled [and] go to pieces with the fear of Allah. We draw such comparisons for mankind, so that they may reflect.

هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ‌ۖ عَـٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ‌ۖ هُوَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ٢٢

hувə ллаhу льлəз̃ии лəə илəəhə ильлəə hуу, 'əəлимуль-ґōйби вə шшəhəəдəh, hувə ррōhмəəну ррōhиим

He is Allah—there is no god except Him—Knower of the sensible and the Unseen, He is the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْقُدُّوسُ ٱلسَّلَـٰمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُ ٱلْمُهَيْمِنُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْجَبَّارُ ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرُ‌ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ٢٣

hувə ллаhу льлəз̃ии лəə илəəhə ильлəə hувəль-мəликуль-ќуддуусу ссəлəəмуль-му'минуль-муhəйминуль-'əзиизуль-джəббəəруль-мутəкəббир, субhəəнə ллаhи 'əммəə йушрикуун

He is Allah—there is no god except Him—the Sovereign, the All-holy, the All-benign, the Securer, the All-conserver, the All-mighty, the All-compeller, and the All-magnanimous. Clear is Allah of any partners that they may ascribe [to Him]!

هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقُ ٱلْبَارِئُ ٱلْمُصَوِّرُ‌ۖ لَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ‌ۚ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ‌ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ٢٤

hувə ллаhуль-хōōлиќуль-бəəри'уль-мусōувир, лəhуль-əсмəə'уль-hуснəə, йусəббиhу лəhу мəə фии ссəмəəвəəти вəəльəрд, вəhувəль-'əзиизуль-həкиим

He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, and the Former. To Him belong the Best Names. Whatever there is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise.
