  • بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

    бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим

    In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
  • 6:1

    الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّورَ  ۖ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ

    əльhəмду лильлəhиль-лəз̃ии хōлəќōс-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрдō вəджə'əлəз̃-з̃улюмəəти вəн-нуурō c̃уммəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу бирōббиhим йə'дилююн

    All praise belongs to Allah who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Yet the faithless equate [others] with their Lord.
  • 6:2

    هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَىٰ أَجَلًا  ۖ وَأَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى عِندَهُ  ۖ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ

    hувəль-лəз̃ии хōлəќōкум-миŋŋ-тыынин c̃уммə ќōдōō əджəлə, вə`əджəлюмм-мусəммəн 'иŋŋдəh, c̃уммə əŋŋтум тəмтəруун

    It is He who created you from clay, then ordained the term [of your life]—the specified term is with Him—and yet you are in doubt.
  • 6:3

    وَهُوَ اللَّهُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَفِي الْأَرْضِ  ۖ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُونَ

    вəhувəл-лаhу фиис-сəмəəвəəти вəфииль-əрд, йə'лəму сиррōкум вəджəhрōкум вəйə'лəму мəə тəксибуун

    He is Allah in the heavens and on the earth: He knows your secret and your overt [matters], and He knows what you earn.
  • 6:4

    وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ آيَةٍ مِّنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ

    вəмəə тə`тииhим-мин əəйəтимм-мин əəйəəти рōббиhим ильлəə кəəнуу 'əнhəə му'ридыын

    There did not come to them any sign from among the signs of their Lord, but that they used to disregard it.
  • 6:5

    فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ  ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ

    фəќōд кəз̃з̃əбуу би-ль-həќќи лəммəə джəə`əhум, фəсəуфə йə`тииhим əмм-бəə`у мəə кəəнуу биhи йəстəhзи`уун

    They have certainly denied the truth when it came to them, but soon there will come to them the news of what they have been deriding.
  • 6:6

    أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَنْهَارَ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ

    əлəм йəрōу кəм əhлəкнəə миŋŋ-ќōблиhим-миŋŋ-ќōрнимм-мəккəннəəhум фииль-əрды мəə лəм нумəккиль-лəкум вə`əрсəльнəəс-сəмəə`ə 'əлэйhим-мидрōōрōу-вəджə'əльнəəль-əнhəəрō тəджрии миŋŋ-тəhтиhим фə`əhлəкнəəhумм-биз̃унуубиhим вə`əŋŋшə`нəə мимм-бə'диhим ќōрнəн əəхōриин

    Have they not regarded how many a generation We have destroyed before them whom We had granted power in the land in respects that We did not grant you, and We sent abundant rains for them from the sky and made streams run for them? Then We destroyed them for their sins, and brought forth another generation after them.
  • 6:7

    وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَابًا فِي قِرْطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَـٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ

    вəлəу нəззəльнəə 'əлэйкə китəəбəн фии ќиртōōсин фəлəмəсууhу би`əйдииhим лəќōōлəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу ин həəз̃əə ильлəə сиhрумм-мубиин

    Had We sent down to you a Book on paper so they could touch it with their [own] hands, [still] the faithless would have said, ‘This is nothing but plain magic.’
  • 6:8

    وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ  ۖ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَ

    вəќōōлюю лəулəə уŋŋзилə 'əлэйhи мəлəк, вəлəу əŋŋзəльнəə мəлəкəль-лəќудыйəль-əмру c̃уммə лəə йуŋŋз̃ōруун

    They say, ‘Why has not an angel been sent down to him?’ Were We to send down an angel, the matter would surely be decided, and then they would not be granted any respite.
  • 6:9

    وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَاهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنَاهُ رَجُلًا وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّا يَلْبِسُونَ

    вəлəу джə'əльнəəhу мəлəкəль-лəджə'əльнəəhу рōджулəу-вəлəлəбəснəə 'əлэйhим-мəə йəльбисуун

    Had We made him an angel, We would have surely made him a man, and We would have surely confounded them just as they confound [the truth now].
  • 6:10

    وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ

    вəлəќōди-стуhзи`ə бирусулимм-миŋŋ-ќōбликə фəhəəќō бильлəз̃иинə сəхыруу минhум-мəə кəəнуу биhи йəстəhзи`уун

    Apostles were certainly derided before you. Then those who ridiculed them were besieged by what they used to deride.
  • 6:11

    قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ انظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ

    ќуль сиируу фииль-əрды c̃уммə-ŋŋз̃уруу кəйфə кəəнə 'əəќибəтуль-мукəз̃з̃ибиин

    Say, ‘Travel over the land, and then observe how was the fate of the deniers.’
  • 6:12

    قُل لِّمَن مَّا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ  ۖ قُل لِّلَّهِ  ۚ كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ  ۚ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ  ۚ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

    ќул-лимəмм-мəə фиис-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрд, ќул-лильлəh, кəтəбə 'əлəə нəфсиhир-рōhмəh, лəйəджмə'əннəкум илəə йəумиль-ќийəəмəти лəə рōйбə фииh, əльлəз̃иинə хōсируу əŋŋфусəhум фəhум лəə йу`минуун

    Say, ‘To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth?’ Say, ‘To Allah. He has made mercy incumbent upon Himself. He will surely gather you on the Day of Resurrection, in which there is no doubt. Those who have ruined their souls will not have faith.’
  • 6:13

     ۞ وَلَهُ مَا سَكَنَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ  ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

    вəлəhу мəə сəкəнə фииль-лэйли вəн-нəhəəр, вəhувəс-сəмии'уль-'əлиим

    To Him belongs whatever abides in the night and the day, and He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing.
  • 6:14

    قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ  ۗ قُلْ إِنِّي أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ  ۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

    ќуль əґōйрōл-лаhи əттəхыз̃у вəлиййəн фəəтырис-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрды вəhувə йут'иму вəлəə йут'əм, ќуль иннии умирту əн əкуунə əувəлə мəн əслəм, вəлəə тəкуунəннə минəль-мушрикиин

    Say, ‘Shall I take for guardian [anyone] other than Allah, the originator of the heavens and the earth, who feeds and is not fed?’ Say, ‘I have been commanded to be the first of those who submit [to Allah], and [told,] “Never be one of the polytheists.” ’
  • 6:15

    قُلْ إِنِّي أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

    ќуль иннии əхōōфу ин 'əсōйту рōббии 'əз̃əəбə йəумин 'əз̃ыым

    Say, ‘Indeed, should I disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a tremendous day.’
  • 6:16

    مَّن يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُ  ۚ وَذَ‌ٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ

    мəй-йусрōф 'əнhу йəумə`из̃ин фəќōд рōhимəh, вəз̃əəликəль-фəузуль-мубиин

    Whoever is spared of it on that day, He has certainly been merciful to him, and that is manifest success.
  • 6:17

    وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلَّا هُوَ  ۖ وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

    вə`ий-йəмсəскəл-лаhу бидуррин фəлəə кəəшифə лəhу ильлəə hуу, вə`ий-йəмсəскə бихōйрин фəhувə 'əлəə кулли шэй`ин ќōдиир

    Should Allah visit you with some distress there is no one to remove it except Him; and should He bring you some good, then He has power over all things.
  • 6:18

    وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ  ۚ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ

    вəhувəль-ќōōhиру фəуќō 'ибəəдиh, вəhувəль-həкиимуль-хōбиир

    And He is the All-dominant over His servants, and He is the All-wise, the All-aware.
  • 6:19

    قُلْ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَادَةً  ۖ قُلِ اللَّهُ  ۖ شَهِيدٌ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ  ۚ وَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ هَـٰذَا الْقُرْآنُ لِأُنذِرَكُم بِهِ وَمَن بَلَغَ  ۚ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً أُخْرَىٰ  ۚ قُل لَّا أَشْهَدُ  ۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَـٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَإِنَّنِي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ

    ќуль əййу шэй`ин əкбəру шəhəəдəh, ќулиль-лəh, шəhиидумм-бэйнии вəбэйнəкум, вə`ууhийə илəййə həəз̃əəль-ќур`əəну ли`уŋŋз̃ирōкумм-биhи вəмəмм-бəлəґ, ə`иннəкум лəтəшhəдуунə əннə мə'əл-лаhи əəлиhəтəн ухрōō, ќуль-лəə əшhəд, ќуль иннəмəə hувə илəəhуу-вəəhидуу-вə`иннəнии бəрии`умм-миммəə тушрикуун

    Say, ‘What thing is greatest as witness?’ Say, ‘Allah! [He is] witness between me and you, and this Quran has been revealed to me that I may warn thereby you and whomever it may reach.’ ‘Do you indeed bear witness that there are other gods besides Allah?’ Say, ‘I do not bear witness [to any such thing].’ Say, ‘Indeed He is the One God, and I indeed disown what you associate [with Him].’
  • 6:20

    الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْرِفُونَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمُ  ۘ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

    əльлəз̃иинə əəтəйнəəhумуль-китəəбə йə'рифуунəhу кəмəə йə'рифуунə əбнəə`əhумуль-лəз̃иинə хōсируу əŋŋфусəhум фəhум лəə йу`минуун

    Those whom We have given the Book recognize him just as they recognize their sons. Those who have ruined their souls will not have faith.
