35:41
۞ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ أَن تَزُولَا ۚ وَلَئِن زَالَتَا إِنْ أَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّن بَعْدِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًاиннəл-лаhə йумсикус-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрдō əŋŋ-тəзуулəə, вəлə`иŋŋ-зəəлəтəə ин əмсəкəhумəə мин əhəдимм-мимм-бə'диh, иннəhу кəəнə həлиимəн ґōфуурō
Indeed Allah sustains the heavens and the earth lest they should fall apart, and if they were to fall apart, there is none who can sustain them except Him. Indeed He is all-forbearing, all-forgiving. -
35:42
وَأَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِن جَاءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْ إِحْدَى الْأُمَمِ ۖ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ مَّا زَادَهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًاвə`əќсəмуу биль-лəhи джəhдə əймəəниhим лə`иŋŋ-джəə`əhум нəз̃иируль-лəйəкуунуннə əhдəə мин иhдəəль-умəм, фəлəммəə джəə`əhум нəз̃иирумм-мəə зəəдəhум ильлəə нуфуурō
They had sworn by Allah with solemn oaths that if a warner were to come to them, they would be better guided than any of the nations. But when a warner came to them, it only increased their distance [from the truth], -
35:43
اسْتِكْبَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ السَّيِّئِ ۚ وَلَا يَحِيقُ الْمَكْرُ السَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِ ۚ فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ الْأَوَّلِينَ ۚ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا ۖ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَحْوِيلًاистикбəəрōн фииль-əрды вəмəкрōс-сəййи, вəлəə йəhииќуль-мəкрус-сəййи`у ильлəə би`əhлиh, фəhəль йəŋŋз̃уруунə ильлəə суннəтəль-əувəлиин, фəлəŋŋ-тəджидə лисуннəтиль-лəhи тəбдиилə, вəлəŋŋ-тəджидə лисуннəтиль-лəhи тəhвиилə
due to their domineering [conduct] in the land and their devising of evil schemes; and evil schemes beset only their authors. So do they await anything except the precedent of the ancients? Yet you will never find any change in Allah’s precedent, and you will never find any revision in Allah’s precedent. -
35:44
أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُ مِن شَيْءٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَلِيمًا قَدِيرًاəвəлəм йəсиируу фииль-əрды фəйəŋŋз̃уруу кəйфə кəəнə 'əəќибəтуль-лəз̃иинə миŋŋ-ќōблиhим вəкəəнуу əшəддə минhум ќуувəh, вəмəə кəəнəл-лаhу лийу'джизəhу миŋŋ-шэй`ин фиис-сəмəəвəəти вəлəə фииль-əрд, иннəhу кəəнə 'əлиимəн ќōдиирō
Have they not travelled over the land so that they may observe how was the fate of those who were before them? They were more powerful than them, and Allah is not to be frustrated by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is all-knowing, all-powerful. -
35:45
وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللَّهُ النَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا مَا تَرَكَ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِهَا مِن دَابَّةٍ وَلَـٰكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ بَصِيرًاвəлəу йу`əəхыз̃ул-лаhун-нəəсə бимəə кəсəбуу мəə тəрōкə 'əлəə з̃ōhриhəə миŋŋ-дəəббəтиу-вəлəəкий-йу`əххыруhум илəə əджəлимм-мусəммəн, фə`из̃əə джəə`ə əджəлюhум фə`иннəл-лаhə кəəнə би'ибəəдиhи бəсыырō
Were Allah to take humans to task because of what they have earned, He would not leave any living being on its back. But He respites them until a specified time, and when their time comes, [He retributes them in accordance with their works], for Allah has been watching His servants.
