  • 51:41
    وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ

    вəфии 'əəдин из̃ əрсəльнəə 'əлэйhимур-рииhəль-'əќиим

    And in ‘Ad when We unleashed upon them a barren wind.

    مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ

    мəə тəз̃əру миŋŋ-шэй`ин əтəт 'əлэйhи ильлəə джə'əлəтhу кəр-рōмиим

    It left nothing that it came upon without making it like decayed bones.

    وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ

    вəфии c̃əмуудə из̃ ќиилə лəhум тəмəттə'уу həттəə hиин

    And in Thamud, when they were told, ‘Enjoy for a while.’

    فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ

    фə'əтəу 'əн əмри рōббиhим фə`əхōз̃əтhумус-сōō'иќōту вəhум йəŋŋз̃уруун

    Then they defied the command of their Lord; so the thunderbolt seized them as they looked on.

    فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنتَصِرِينَ

    фəмəə-стəтōō'уу миŋŋ-ќийəəмиу-вəмəə кəəнуу муŋŋтəсыриин

    So they were neither able to rise up, nor to come to one another’s aid.

    وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ  ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ

    вəќōумə нууhимм-миŋŋ-ќōбль, иннəhум кəəнуу ќōумəн фəəсиќиин

    And the people of Noah aforetime. Indeed, they were a transgressing lot.

    وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ

    вəс-сəмəə`ə бəнəйнəəhəə би`əйдиу-вə`иннəə лəмууси'уун

    We have built the heaven with might, and indeed it is We who are its expanders.

    وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ

    вəəль`əрдō фəрōшнəəhəə фəни'мəль-мəəhидуун

    And We have spread out the earth, so how excellent spreaders We have been!

    وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

    вəмиŋŋ-кулли шэй`ин хōлəќнəə зəуджəйни лə'əльлəкум тəз̃əккəруун

    In all things We have created pairs so that you may take admonition.

    فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ  ۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

    фəфирруу илəл-лаh, иннии лəкум-минhу нəз̃иирумм-мубиин

    ‘So flee toward Allah. Indeed, I am from Him a manifest warner to you.

  • 51:51
    وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا آخَرَ  ۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

    вəлəə тəдж'əлюю мə'əл-лаhи илəəhəн əəхōр, иннии лəкум-минhу нəз̃иирумм-мубиин

    Do not set up another god besides Allah. Indeed I am from Him a manifest warner to you.’

    كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ

    кəз̃əəликə мəə əтəəль-лəз̃иинə миŋŋ-ќōблиhим-мир-рōсуулин ильлəə ќōōлюю сəəhирун əу мəджнуун

    So it was that there did not come any apostle to those who were before them but they said, ‘A magician,’ or ‘A crazy man!’

    أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ  ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ

    əтəвəəсōу биh, бəль hум ќōумун тōōґуун

    Did they enjoin this upon one another?! Rather, they were a rebellious lot.

    فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ

    фəтəвəльлə 'əнhум фəмəə əŋŋтə бимəлююм

    So turn away from them, as you will not be blameworthy.

    وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

    вəз̃əккир фə`иннəз̃-з̃икрōō тəŋŋфə'уль-му`миниин

    And admonish, for admonition indeed benefits the faithful.

    وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ

    вəмəə хōлəќтуль-джиннə вəəль`иŋŋсə ильлəə лийə'будуун

    I did not create the jinn and the humans except that they may worship Me.

    مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ

    мəə урииду минhум-мир-ризќиу-вəмəə урииду əй-йут'имуун

    I desire no provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me.

    إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ

    иннəл-лаhə hувəр-рōззəəќу з̃ууль-ќуувəтиль-мəтиин

    Indeed it is Allah who is the All-provider, Powerful and All-strong.

  • 51:59
    فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ

    фə`иннə лильлəз̃иинə з̃ōлəмуу з̃əнуубəмм-миc̃лə з̃əнууби əсhəəбиhим фəлəə йəстə'джилююн

    Indeed the lot of those who do wrong [now] will be like the lot of their [earlier] counterparts. So let them not ask Me to hasten on [that fate].

    فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ

    фəвəйлюл-лильлəз̃иинə кəфəруу мий-йəумиhимуль-лəз̃ии йуу'əдуун

    Woe to the faithless for the day they are promised!
